The location is great. To go to the "button" heart of Courmayeur there is to cross the bridge on the Dora Baltea by car or on foot, I recommend the latter because there are few parking lots in the center and always full at all hours and almost all for a fee. It is 700-800 meters, 10 minutes of walk ideal to digest the food and the bill if you dine downtown. There is the 100-meter gondola ideal for those skiing in winter or for a walk in the cool at altitude and enjoy better the view of White in the summer. From the historic and typical Valdostan village of Dolonne where the Hotel is located, you can access the trails of the TMB and the High Streets for those who love hiking in the mountains. The Hotel has slightly small rooms but nothing is missing. Breakfast is the classic with sweet, salty and some fruit that can be improved with some homemade cake instead of the industrial packaged ones although I understand that not having catering service maybe does not have a kitchen equipped. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Sure the price is high but in Courmayeur the prices of everything, starting with a coffee, are quite above average alas! But so much…

In Dolonne, a very quiet hamlet of Curmayeur, very close to the lifts, a ten-minute walk from the center. Breakfast is plentiful and varied, helpful and welcoming staff, clean room with large bathroom/shower. Some rooms have a view of Mont Blanc. Recommended.

Very clean Hotel, not excessive costs to be Courmayeur. Very simple rooms maybe a little dated. Breakfast good but not excellent.

The hospitality in this hotel is truly one of a kind! I stayed here while backpacking the TMB, and was blown away by the kindness of the owner, Fabrizio! The accomodations we had were clean and quaint. The breakfast was full of goodies including cheese, breakfast meat, cookies, fresh fruit, and cake! Fabrizio very generously showed us how to sing Happy Birthday to our friend in Italian! He served us espresso and cafe, and offered information on driving directions, tourist info, and the local weather forecast. After we completely checked out of the hotel, my other friend and I stayed in town while we waited for her bag to be dropped off as it had been lost by WOW Airlines (very poor customer service! ), and was having it delivered to Hotel Ottoz. Not only did the owner let us leave an additional bag at his hotel for a week, Fabrizio also helped communicate with the delivery driver since we didn't speak any French. After making a few phone calls on our behalf, he treated us to espresso while we waited for hours for the bag. He brought us homemade bread with local cheese, local lardo, and even shared some of the honey he gets from his two beehives (which are right on his hotel property! ). He introduced us to his dog Skip and kept us company while we waited for the bag, telling us about the best local food and drink. Overall, I have had few hotel experiences this kind and generous in my life.

I was here a few years ago… even if only for one night… very nice and welcoming… very beautiful even the view…!
