I attended the Christmas Eve dinner and New Year's Eve lunch staying there. Dirty and old room with dust everywhere. Bad food and poor quality. Never again.

Top location, top food staff and team top manager, you will find everything you want.

Located a step away from the center, really welcoming, very professional and courteous staff, always attentive to the needs of the customer, a well-kept and modern environment, maximum cleanliness, really abundant and exquisite breakfast I would say amazing, fantastic for ceremonies, ideal for congresses and business meetings, has a breathtaking panoramic restaurant on the terrace.

All beautiful spacious rooms a kindness to the maximum.

Lovely location, great food but above all, exquisite staff, always present and available to accommodate our requests. They followed us in everything from the chef, to the maitre Umberto and especially Mrs. Ana who managed to reassure us always, even in moments of panic due to the emergency situation we are experiencing. We were married on May 18, 2019. Both my family and friends were really speechless all yummy both the buffet and lunch, but above all the view. A spectacular sea view I recommend getting married at the big hotel Salerno you will make a beautiful figure with both your relatives and friends.

The wonderful suite with a beautiful sea view, breakfast with hearty and exquisite room service, fabulous welcome with staff always helpful and professional.

Excellent Hotel with breathtaking views of the gulf of Salerno. The room was large and quiet. The bed very comfortable. Swimming pool and wellness centre consigliatissimi for a few hours of relaxation.

We had a beautiful suite, with a great view of the harbor.

Professionalism, kindness, wealth of packages and solutions to the hospitality, conveniences and services aggregates, and the beauty of Salerno, is the promenade. Last but not least the kitchen from the great michelin starred restaurant.

Great 4-star a bit dated excellent location for excursions with ferries. Great breakfast and category service. The hotel also uses the Spa's indoor pool as well as a spa. In our holiday we took a superior sea view. Terrace was very large and the sea view lovely over the whole gulf. Great property with large parking in the back where there are also free places. For cars with disabled not very comfortable because the elevator in the back does not reach the ground while in front of the entrance there are no parking spaces for disabled however you arrive with the car in front of the entrance.

A beautiful modern structure with ample possibilities. There seems to be a wide variety of rooms. Their décor is minimal and reduced to the essentials. The small bathrooms.
The staff seems to be helpful and competent.
It is located in a privileged location: close to the station and the main exchange nodes. It also offers a beautiful glimpse of the Amalfi Coast being on the sea.

Desperately in need of modernization. The pool was not available during our stay. Excellent location to access the ferry port. Excellent beach club across the road (not part of the hotel).

Great place for nice walks, close to the station and in front of the sea. Beach with pebbles and poorly organized and clean even if there are some beaches. Near the mouth of the irno river. I would have expected more from the structure which could be more meticulous in the rooms not modern and not very well cared for as you expect from a 4 star. The staff are especially great in taking care of the cleaning of the rooms. The restaurant department enjoys a spectacular staff and in particular of the. A room director who is very attentive to everything especially to the needs of the children.

Decent rooms. Could address the exterior of the hotel to make it more appealing. Our room had a nice view of the coast.

Five stars are few for this hotel and its staff… The terrace "the mirror of the sea" is beautiful and offers a breathtaking view… We have made our dream an exciting reality and it's all thanks to the staff: starting from the wedding Nicol that takes care of all the smallest details with passion; the chef Donato and his collaborators who have prepared exceptional cuisine; the chef Umberto who greeted us with the profession; the mr Maximum, which does its work with great professionalism and also stunning all of the people who perform their work… in Short, a real fable, not in a castle but on a beautiful terrace… Thank you for having the rest of our dream a true reality.

2 stars are based on location alone. Rooms merit only 1 star as they were dirty, poorly kept furniture, and extremely thin walls where you can even here the people next door talking at low/normal volume. Seems more like a hostel than a hotel. The location is well placed but it seems like someone built this and never came back to make repairs or even check on it. Hairs in bathroom, sand in shower, marks and scuffs all over the walls… definitely felt a shower was needed upon leaving!

Friday 1st June I celebrated my wedding at the Grand Hotel Salerno.
I was literally speechless for the whole organization. Umberto, the metre I'll be super nice and made sure that the evening had an IMPECCABLE organization, the waiters all polite and so, the room was perfect, as I wanted.
The food was exquisite, the dishes plentiful, the presentation perfect.
Beautiful Panorama, fabulous reception and all always smiling.
From the day we chose this hotel until the wedding day and after they were all wonderfully kind, they all made themselves available and they did a really remarkable job, so I take advantage to thank everyone in prticolar way the Lady Anna and Umberto, you helped make this day really special ❤ ️

Location is fantastic. Walking distance from train station, across from beach, close to ferries. Seaside rooms with balconies give great sites. Beds are firm (which I like), sheets are stiff (which I don't like). Queen ocean view room has plenty of room and could use a few more furniture pieces. Near great seafood restaurant just to the South East.

As a first time I remain very disappointed. Room booked for more than a month (I had asked with sea view) and when I arrive they give me a view parking inside, air conditioning just working, bathroom with the bulbs burnt (replaced at the moment in my presence), flask used shampoo, bathroom cleaning and Blankets not satisfactory,. Only nice note the availability of the maintenance technician who came to change the bulbs.
Never again.!

Structure with enormous potential absolutely untapped.
Bad reception at check in, indeed already while booking on the phone. The rooms are spacious but with very old furniture and TVs. The cleanliness leaves to be desired. Breakfast, for those who can find in the room a free and clean seat, is absolutely mediocre. The cost of the room in relation to the quality and to the services offered is too high. Overall my vote is undoubtedly insufficient. If you can avoid him!

Nice hotel. Room was big and clean. We had an arrangement for the parking spot and the staff was misinformed. So we got different directions every time. The breakfast was also ok. Maybe a wider selection of bread would be appreciated.

Hotel located on the waterfront. The staff is efficient and friendly, always ready for any need. The food is good, not as it happens in so many great hotels, rich breakfast. Excellent for conventions and congresses events. On such occasions their organization is at the top. Good!

A week ago I did an overnight stay at this hotel since I was on a two day trip. I don't know if the service is different, but my review is as follows: Spacious, clean rooms with helpful kits in the bathroom. Mediocre beds of comfort. Usually in a double room there is a bathroom, a double bed, a desk with working television, coffee table with chair, bedside tables, wardrobe and a comfortable "key-card" to enter and exit. The visit may vary: either on a road or on the harbor. We should pay more attention to the maintenance, because in various rooms there is mold to walls and ruptures of drywall which, for those who have allergies, is not at all suitable. I didn't put 4 stars because the food service is bad, you could call it "worse than the hospital". I repeat, maybe it's different since it was an education trip. The breakfast was of a slightly higher standard. The rest is really a spacious and cozy hotel. I recommend it especially to people who, for the job, are out of town and have to sleep somewhere.

Huge Hotel in a great location! There is also the possibility of having the sea view! Despite being right behind the station the noises do not give particularly annoyance. As far as food is concerned they eat discretely. There are typical dishes and the breakfast is quite varied. The rooms are nice and the beds comfy!

The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms depends on the room. In concerjeria I lied when I complained about the noise on my room. Do not accept the fourth floor because the fifth rent for parties and not only the music, when you go outside and dance on your head.

Good place to stay, decent breakfast, city centre is relatively near. Great for conferences.

I stayed a few days ago at a convention. Being with the family, I booked 2 rooms: Both were spacious and clean.
The bathrooms were lacking a support floor and in one lacked completely towel racks. The common areas are very spacious, rather anonymous. Good overall the kitchen, especially for seafood dishes. The staff-especially in the dining room-does not shine for professionalism and altogether you notice a certain disorganization. The worst thing though is the lack of a parking lot: To avoid risks we didn't park in the public parking lot nearby and had to entrust the car to a private garage.

The structure is huge and equipped with many rooms, all very large and clean as well as bright. Very friendly staff, the choice at breakfast is extensive and the kitchen very good and tasty. Ideally located on the seafront and close to the train station as well as the centre of Salerno. I have been there several times and I have always found it very well.

Excellent hotel on the seafront of Salerno, 10 ' from the train station and the city centre. Large spaces, well furnished and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk, a little more ' cold ' in the breakfast room. Breakfast of quality and quantity of choice. I recommend it!

After purchasing three nights online, I tried to change to later dates because of a family problem. They denied me because the reservations were non-refundable. There were no words in the contract regarding changes, only that they were non-refundable. I may be wrong and expecting too much in some minds, but in mine they should have allowed the change if rooms were available, which they were. I lost several hundred dollars.

The room smelled bad the Wi-Fi is the worst Internet service of the last few years the signal doesn't even cover the lobby I haven't slept yet and I can tell you not to stay at this hotel.

The basics… a little cold people for being time of the day of the Virgin so important for the city… The breakfast very good full and excellent view from the window to the street… nice tablecloths all pristine. Coffee with milk and everything!

Available, attentive to every detail present, but never intrusive during the ceremony, and extremely generous from'welcome to the check-out. The perfect setting for a wedding elegant and refined, but at the same time modern and youthful. A special thanks to the sign. Ra Ana and the maitre Umberto. … The ceremony was perfect, from'access to the underground garage, all'welcome on the terrace, all'opening of the grand buffet followed by a very efficient table service during lunch, nothing short of EXCELLENT: generous portions, and perfect rhythm. L'setting up a buffet of sweets, backdrop and cake, as well as the room of the lunch, was taken care of in minimum detail, exactly as we had asked. The suite that we were offered, with the colourful breakfast in the room, was beautiful, and full of amenities. Lunch the day after. The "icing on the cake". Continuous availability of service staff, and extremely helpful, especially the managers of the banquet.

Convenient location, perfect rooms, service to the user's height. I am a loyal customer for two years with stays of a week and I can say that all the staff knows well administer the needs of both the individual client and groups made up of hundreds of participants.
A applaud to the restaurant staff (Raffaele to name one in representation of all), who knows how to interpret and satisfy the culinary needs of all.

Large Hotel, close to the centre of Salerno and conveniently located for the train station and the light rail. Very large and comfortable rooms, many with sea view. Suitable for large groups and foreign tourists. Some deburring in the maintenance of the rooms. Overall positive experience.

Nice and clean room, nice bed, I had a problem with shower and the air conditiong didn't work properly.

This place is amazing. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are so cost and beautiful. The only thing that upset me is that two specific elevators didn't lead to the correct floors because the hotel was built by combining two buildings. There is also a supermarket that sells almost anything for a very good price. Overall I was very satisfied by my stay in this hotel.

We enjoyed a clean, comfortable room with a convenient location and a nice view. We would have given a higher rating but the towel and soap replacement during room maintenance left us without some of those amenities (they actually took our open soap without leaving any replacement). Also, the hotel staff weren't able to give us actionable information about their laundry cleaning service.

Walls with water stains, usual off furniture from the ' 80s, extremely slow Wi-Fi and only at the bottom. Bargain price is pure window dressing: 90 instead of 400. Even with 90Euro, the threshold of pain is already exceeded.

Location excellent. Breathtaking and hotel well cared for in every detail. Ample parking available, 24-hour front desk always available and many conference rooms available. I didn't try the restaurant or the bar, but the atmosphere is very positive, so much so that I'll be back soon for a coffee in the hotel bar. I got to visit the rooms and they were very nice, well maintained, clean, spacious and with a nice view of the Bay of Salerno.

This had to be the worst hotel experience of my life. It felt like it should be a pay by the hour hotel. The corridors feel like you're in a hospital. The showers are full of mould and the front desk has attitude. I changed 4 rooms within a 12 hr period. It may have been grand 15 years ago, it is grand no more!

Clean and spacious as can be seen from the virtual tour. There is also an indoor pool and inside a small P. At the top of the House there is a large terrace for events or weddings.

Poor breakfast with very little choice, more expensive than prices agreed by telephone. Great Diner, abundant and delicious, very clean rooms, great gym, pool and Spa.

The hotel is 2007 and note that small fixes need you, but if only a hotel just to go to sleep while touring the Campania it is recommended.

Nice hotel, but they provide a private parking service, such service rent and what me happened was that my car oil Cap disappeared, almost founded the motor! the hotel is not to be responsible for what happened.

The valet parking is not available. Some rooms can only be reached after a few minutes ' walk down the halls and stairs of the structure. I am not exaggerating. The food provided by the restaurant does not exalt. Only good service, always helpful and friendly.

This was a discount hotel for us, but even at the price we were a bit upset. It has a massive brutalist feel in a region known for architecture and beauty. The internet was exceptionally pricey. The halls were lit with what looked like black lights, which gave it a seedy futuristic feel. The room was nice enough. The area was fine, a bit far from things but we like walking. There were no amenities or services that we noticed. Breakfast was food.

I like position and services.

It kind of looked like the inside of a boat or an airport. It was very complicated to navigate through though.
