Palazzo Belsanti Bed and Breakfast

My wife and I just returned from Italy and we stayed at the Palazzo Belsanti for one night. It was great. Alessandra & Andrea are excellent hosts and were both warm and welcoming. They upgraded us to a suite and it was both clean and spacious. Breakfast on the rooftop was plentiful and the view was nice. I highly recommend their place if you choose to stay in Lecce.

Courtesy, elegance, professionalism and availability…

For people who travel a lot, you become accustomed to what are the “necessities”: clean rooms, comfortable beds, good water pressure etc. But then there are the “intangibles”. Palazzo Belsanti has everything I mentioned above, plus the best of those intangibles. You just simply can’t find two people who are more genuinely concerned about the quality of your stay at their lovely establishment. Their care and concern stems from their hearts and you will feel it immediately. The rooms are what I would call “minimalist chic”. Everything in the room is there for a reason. The lovely extra touches are everywhere, from the beautiful monogrammed linens to the quality of organic bathroom toiletries provided. The day begins with a delicious breakfast on the perfect terrace overlooking the old city of Lecce. The breakfast items are freshly baked every day and the fruit comes straight from the garden. And the custom prepared coffee in the morning is one of the highlights of our mornings in Lecce. If you need anything, your request will always be greeted with joy at being asked to recommend something or solve something — the true art of hospitality lives here. If you're planning a trip to Lecce, you HAVE to stay at Palazzo Belsanti. If you're not planning a trip there, you should! My girlfriend and I had a truly unforgettable 4 days. I'm pretty well traveled and I have never stayed anywhere where the hosts have such a care and passion for what they do. It shines through in Palazzo Belsanti, and every single aspect your stay there. From the moment we arrived (before even) Alessandra and Andrea did everything they possibly could to m…ake our stay as good as it could possibly be. They make the gem that is Palazzo Belsanti what it is — and that's more a 5-star house, than a BnB. One of many examples… we were there to celebrate my girlfriends birthday and upon emailing them for a restaurant recommendation beforehand, they offered instead to cook us a private dinner on the hotels terrace which has views over the cities old town. Now that's an offer you can't refuse. And, the 7-course meal of the highest quality that followed was the highlight of our trip. The old town of the city (a matter of meters away from Palazzo Belsanti) is beautiful. It was described to me in a review I read before going as 'the world most leisurely city' and it's true. Wondering around the quaint, authentically Italian streets enjoying amazing wine, food and most notably 'Caffee Lecce' made for a great holiday. With either coast a short drive away it also makes a great base if you wish to explore a little further a field.

Only to be recommended — Excellent — excellent location to visit Lecce — comfortable beds — magnificent view on Lecce from the terrace, where breakfast is served — any problem is solved by Alessandra and Andrea — The owners —
