Very nice and large sandy beach at Gallipoli. With many beach bars. A successful mix of Ibiza and family beach. Mostly Italian tourists. Also very gay friendly. Beautiful crystal clear water. There are also beach sections with a natural dune landscape (Autorità di Gestione Parco Naturale regionale Isola di S. Andrea e litorale di Punta Pizzo) and you will also find beach sections with nudist possibilities! Disadvantages / Criticism: Partly extremely high priced (2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella in the high season from 27 € to 50 €, and 5 € to 10 € parking fee for the car), the natural sections could tolerate more care (plastic).

The Primavera bakery for pasticciotto and pizzas and local products. Antonio's market exquisite person… and then the magnificent turquoise sea.

Beautiful place, but mistreated by uncivilized and rude people who leave the beach full of waste (plastic bottles, cigarette butts and all kinds of other waste). Perhaps it would be appropriate for there to be controls aimed at severely penalising this situation.

I would say that the beaches and sea of Gallipoli Bay have enormous potential for both the sand type and the crystal clear water.
That said I find Green Bay an indecent thing… it should be the closest beach to the centre of Gallipoli with all the services worthy of 21st century tourism and instead you find yourself in front of a village born of a very visible construction speculation, without an urbanization, without public lighting on the promenade, with rough roads, full of potholes, almost dirt, no sidewalks, public green abandoned to itself, only two garbage collection points, no bins (let alone if the recycling is respected), say dirty roads is to give him a compliment, sprinkled with all kinds of rubbish, there is not a bank but not even an ATM, the only convenience store practices strobe prices. For a bowl of peanuts, you have to add another 2… hallucinating! In the evening if you plan to take a walk along the promenade you are stopped by people who really offer you everything: drugs of all kinds, paid sex for all tastes.
You stop for a moment to think and you understand that they are probably all second homes, obviously few or no pays taxes but above all few or no one votes at Gallipoli… So why invest in it… and I say, WHY TORNARCI?

Gorgeous sea, blue flag. But the real one! Free beach that alternates with the one equipped with medium high costs, 30.00 euros for a parasol and 2 sunbeds! It is not difficult to find parking 5. Oo is for the whole day. Recommended place for younger people, you can't get old without visiting this place!
