Shkedi's Camplodge Hostel

A clean camping experience with lots of good vibes.

WoW what a ‏beautiful place. It is the best place on Earth.

This place took me by surprise, absolutely loved it and especially the feel of the place. The bohemian style place and so much of positive vibes. The owner has made the place on his own and he is a gem of a person. It has a big kitchen and nice bathrooms. The rooms gives one a feel that they are in the woods. There's also a unique living space made in the bus. It's quite different and a must see. Overall would have loved to stay over for longer.

Very nice place if you want to relax and have nice evenings. Also the kitchen inventory is great. There is a fireplace and you can barbecue if you want. A small grocery is in 5 minutes Walking distance. Sadly the next location with showers at the dead sea is ca. 30 minutes by car to the north (ein bokek)

Gil Shkedi has created a little heaven on earth.
It's a place in the dessert were I wil definately return to.

Great and relaxed place to be. Very generous staff and great hospitality. The only downside is the amount of bugs in the air, but that was manageable. Prepare yourself to bring enough food. There's only one (very) small market nearby.

Amazing back of the woods place. It gives off almost a hippy commune vibe but VERY cool. Would definitely recommend staying there.

I felt like meeting old friends there. Plus for additional bonus of all the stars above your head while sitting by the fire :) Amazing place with all You need Wi-Fi works well, bathrooms are clean with hot water, fully equipped kitchen. Only thing left to do is to try to bake the bread from your recipe ;)

Great place for families and groups of friends. Clean, simple and well equipped. You get towels, bedsheets, wood for bonfire and plenty of dishes and cooking equipment in the kitchen. Closed in July — August.

Pleasant atmosphere, Atmospheric place.

I stayed there in November 2017 and it was amazing. I had a chance to chat with the owner and he was very nice and shared his travel experiences with us. Totally worth visiting.

I have to say that my experience with Shkedi's Camplodge was a really good one. On my way to Shkedi's Camplodge it was already late in the evening and my friends and I had a burst tyre. We wrote an email to Shkedi's Camplodge telling them we might be late. They replied very fast telling us this would be no problem. So when we arrived, our room was ready for us and a staff member welcomed us showing us the bathrooms and the kitchen. The pros: — our room and the beds/bed sheets were clean and each of us got a towel. In addition there were quite a few little bottles containing shower gel/shampoo and our room had air-conditioning. — the bathrooms (showers and toilets are seperate and are shared with all guests) were clean — they have a kitchen that can be used by any guest with three gas stoves, a very big fridge where you get your own spot and a lot of utensils (e. G. Knives, pans, etc. ) that you would need to prepare various dishes. — there are heaps of chairs and sofas around where you can sit on. Moreover they have fans that you can turn on if it's too hot. — the staff is very friendly and polite. On our first and only night they offered us some mosquito repellent. The cons: — there are literally dozens of flies and though I haven't seen any mosquitos there probably are heaps of them as well, otherwise we would not have been offered mosquito repellent.

A slice of the sixties in the middle of the desert. Great lodge, awesome music, heartwarming people.

The place is beautiful, very clean, has a kitchen with everything you need. Shared showers and toilets, but kept in clean condition all the time. The staff are very nice. Very suitable for groups. There are many hiking trails around.

We have been to few camp lodges in Israel and this is maybe one of the best. The place is nice, good facilities, convenient, and clean. The cabins and the hats are all air conditioned, lavatories and showers are always clean, kitchen is well equipped. The staff are very responsive and kind, speak good English and German (one of them is from Berlin). Location is very good for The Dear Sea and Judea Desert travelers. We plan to return there with a larger group of people (cabins are for 15 to 20 persons).

Shkedi's earns five stars for being so laid back and easygoing, clean and comfortable. A welcomed respite from Babylon (en bokek) where we enjoyed dead sea dipping, mud etc. Also ventured into some canyon hikes. May 18, 2015 update, little taken back to find a $12.77 surprise charge to my credit card for accessing the www using the camps Wi-Fi. Customer advice to Shkedi's: be up front with additional charges, especially for ones that are usual conveniences an establishment provides complementary.

We spent 2 nights at the Shkedi Khan Lodge wooden pleasant, full of mattresses on the floor by the kids really enjoyed to jump on them and of course sleep together happily. Lodge with an air conditioner that can be heated or cooled as needed. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need! From the level of the match through the knives and cutlery, pots, pans, bowls and a large sink for washing. Ovens and gas cooker, Coffee with constant hot water and coffee / tea sugar free! There is a nice bar with beers and soft drinks, and of course the fire center Hhhan is in the Dom — like the old days when the tribe was the center of the fire around her different people met and talked and drank and enjoyed. Must be noted the toilet and shower were clean always. Highly recommended to come by a big clan to Weekend pleasant without ever having to leave the Khan or just stroll around Moshav for a walk with the kids. Lovely place, Shkedi and the staff were great and helped with everything that needed. For short — it is recommended to come.

Great place to stay. Really tidy. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Evening in front of the campfire was great. Obviously it's not the place if you are looking for a five star resoft.
