We are just back from a great trip to Donegal. 2 adults and 2 kids. We stayed in The River House and can't recommend it enough. It is 100% a home from home and Jack and the other staff are so welcoming. Being only a few mins walk from the main street and sea, the location is great. The room we had was big and absolutely spotless clean. Breakfast was delicious too. We would definitely recommend the River House and would love to take a trip back there again.

Family Friendly and Dog Friendly. We had fantastic relaxing stay. Rooms were available despite short notice and a busy bank holiday weekend. Clean and comfortable. TV with all the apps if you really need to :-) Very nice and roomy common sitting room.
Jack is a fantastic host with "no problem" attitude.
Breakfast was tasty and generous.

A home away from home quiet clean modern friendly helpful staff nothing to much trouble for them they are well informed staff who are happy to advize u on local busses taxis and transport in general bus times and routes's great recomadations for places to go ie local beaches senery pubs and resturants great advertizing for all donegal amenities decorated really nice with lovely wall hangings and happy cheerful uplifting quotes throughout whole buildings can accomadate from single occupancy to family rooms and self catering appartment well maintained building with lovely decking area with nice flowers quirky lights soft comfortable wicker furniture lovely place to sit have a drink or coffee beautiful big cmfortable sitting room with large TV board games and library with all catagories of books local history books litature and brochures on things to do places to see beside the spacious comfortable dining room where u can have pre ordered dinner cooked by staff or modern self catering kitchen with all cooking utensils crockery fridges and freezer with tea coffee basic condiments there is also breakfast cereals juice toast and a nice surrprise fridge where previous residents will leave food that is surplas to their needs fruit cheese meats snacks its always a surprise that u are welcome to use there is a dining area where u can chat to other residents as ur cooking /eating its by far the best hostel ive ever stayed in as good as any hotel at a very reasonable rate only downside

Had a really lovely stay back in September 2016 with my late grandfather Colm. He was originally from Dungloe and he was showing me where he grew up. The River House is a lovely B&B which is very close to the main street. It's literally like staying in someone's home, Anthea and Ken really look after you and are great company. The rooms are very spacious and clean, breakfast is fit for a king. I'm well overdue a visit back since my Grandad passed away in September 2017, shortly after his last visit to Dungloe. Ironically he stayed at the River House one last time, where he loved visiting.

Where do I start with this little piece of heaven. The warm vibrant feel of home when you enter the bed and breakfast, the warm welcome from the owners of this establishment is amazing, there isn't a stranger when are staying here, but a friend you haven't met yet, rooms are spotless and very cosy, ample supply of refreshments and very centrally located near the heart of dungloe, I would recommend this place to my own mother to stay, and words cannot express how amazing this bed and breakfast really is!

Once again really enjoyed my stay everything was wonderful. Clean Comfortable and friendly did I mention the beautiful breakfast.

Fabulous location, excellent hosts, fantastic value, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and a great breakfast menu with lots of choice for all tastes. I can not recommend this B&B highly enough. I'd give it 6 stars if I could!

Absolutely delighted with this gem of a place, fantastic value and spotless, owner has supplied more than you would expect in a self catering unit, very handy until you can get to a shop and buy your own, Wi-Fi is very good, very handy for shops/pubs, will definitely be back!

Really lovely place, incredible people and pet friendly owners and staff. Great breakfast (u can even choose from menu. Unbelivable little charge for that lots of things what they offer and u get. I will come back even if its gonna be double price, and the view around… Woooooow. We just loved it. Highly recommened A++++

Absolutely can't recommend this place and the owners highly enough. They really do go the extra mile for you. I've stayed here twice now and it's been great both times. A real bonus is the little kitchen area with extras such as milk, coffee, bread, and sometimes cake or buns left out for you to use. If you need a no nonsense place to stay for a while you won't go wrong.

Planned on staying for one night, ended up staying for 3 we liked it so much! The ground floor is run as a B&B while upstairs is a hostel. We stayed in the hostel for the most part and it was perfect — small kitchen area with free tea/coffee/yogurts/juice/bread, armchairs and tables to relax in, just generally a great place! All staff were very polite and friendly.

Stayed in the river house last weekend can't praise it enough the hospitality was fantastic breakfast suberb and the cleanliness was spot on terrific value I would highly recommend it I certainly will be back 10/10 x.

Excellent place to stay and tour North and West Donegal from. We stayed in the self-catering apartment for 2 night and can't recommend it enough. It was spotlessly clean, really comfy and with everything provided that a family could need during a stay. (some great little touches with board games, netflix and toys for the kids). Great location, great accommodation at an affordable price.

Fab accommodation so clean lovelt host. Here with my family my 2 children loved it here. Would definitely recommend for family break.

The hostel is really nice, it is really close to the main street (2min walk). The owner is really nice, she is wonderful and she cooks lovely cupcake! The rooms are spacious, the shower hot and the kitchen full equipped! Breakfast is included! The best hostel in donegal!

A great place to stay for islanders when they can't make the ferry back or need an early start in the morning. A friendly welcome. Nice, clean and comfortable accomadation. Delicious selection of breakfast served in the morning to set you on your way. Why pay a fortune in hotels when you can get a high quality service for less.

The room was very clean and the breakfast was very good, but you could have a more complete breakfast for €7. Not to mention a fair price. We are delighted with our stay at River House! Don't think, go ahead!

Great place to stay! The owners were super nice and helpful, one even gave us a ride to the airport. Rooms were clean and comfortable. They had great suggestions on things to do and places to go for food and beer. When I make it back to Dungloe I'll definitely be staying here again!

Very nice and hospitable! The owners are very kind they told me where to go in the evening to listen to traditional music and they were right. Inside the B&B clean and comfortable room, and very spacious. At most I can complain of the cleanliness, but most of what a person needs. Happy!
