We attended Santa today it was amazing Santa was so nice as my little girl wasn’t a big fan but we managed to get a beautiful pic would definitely recommend this hotel we also ate in the bar & the staff were all so nice & friendly!

Recently had a wedding here and it was a beautiful hotel. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The food was gorgeous and well presented. I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends.

The receptionists bent over back wards to help me a lovely oriental lady didn't manage catch her name and Breda and the waitress x 3, amazing abbanight staff hotel & stunning venue I'll be back superb spot thank you I accidently went oc the charger I'll bring thanks again!

We had our wedding at the Castle Oaks last week with 70 of our family & friends, it was a great experience, the location is great beside the river Shannon, ceremony set-up was great, Staff were awesome, food & drink was top notch and we really enjoyed breakfast the following morning as it was lazy and easy going and we could just mingle again with all our guests, great job folks and thank you so much — Noel & Caitríona.

We are just back from a lovely stay in the castle oaks hotel it was fab. Great location outside the madness of a city but within driving distance for shopping etc. the food, walks proximity to aqua splash all major advantages. The leisure centre and pool were immaculate and everyone was so welcoming. One outstanding asset to this hotel is a lady called Josephine who works in the bar/ restaurant she was a delight. She couldn’t do enough had great banter with the teenagers and they loved her. We will definitely be back.

We had our wedding here in September 2021 and I can't recommend the place highly enough. They were brilliant. All the staff are amazing, friendly and efficient. They made the whole process very easy. Rachel & then Martina were always there to answer any questions we had. We were lucky enough to have weather on our side and the ceremony set up in the garden was beautiful. The food was unreal and the staff were excellent — special mention to Maggie who made sure everyone got a nibble at the reception and Mark who looked after us so well & put up with the afterhours hijinks! We booked the downstairs bar for the second day also and the food was fab & staff excellent there as well. A brilliant experience from start to finish in a beautiful setting — we couldn't have asked for more.

If you want a treat lookup Castle Oaks House Hotel if I have stay over in Limerick it's my place of Rest and Relax in the leisure centre and the surrounding grounds and the lovely food and very friendly staff. Till the next time.

Castle Oaks House is amazing! We were there for 1 night only, unfortunately, but I wish it had been longer. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms, bar and restaurant were great, and the location along the river could not have been more charming. It would be the perfect weekend getaway and I'm sorry we didn't plan more time here.

The staff here are fantastic. Great service and they know how to have a laugh. My husband is a breakfast connoisseur and he reckons it's one of the best he's ever had.

A wonderful place to visit. The staff is top notch and there are plenty of activities. Weddings, proms, etc. Enjoy the quiet atmosphere and walking paths through the village. I would like to recognize the staff: Manager — Heather and Alex. Servers — Josephine and Maggie. Front Desk — Simone and Jemma. Service dogs are welcome with open arms ❤️

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Castleoaks on Saturday the 26th of February and drinks the day after and I could not recommend them enough they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Every single member staff wer outstanding and so incredibly helpful. We loved every second of the whole weekend❤️

I got married here 14 years ago and have to say I was seriously disappointed but I was at my nieces wedding last weekend and It was amazing. The staff were fantastic and couldnt do enough. The food was amazing. The whole day was what it should be a day you will never forget (in a good way). Highly recommend.

We had lunch here today for our brother's birthday. The food was lovely and plentiful. The atmosphere was very relaxing and we had a beautiful view. Our server Josephine was outstanding and couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. She is a real asset to the hotel. All in all a lovely day in a beautiful setting. Thank you.

Harry thought santas grotto was magical! The elf’s where so nice and friendly we loved the hot chocolate and decorating the cookies with mrs Claus and Santa was great Harry loved when Santa magically dropped the present down the chimney overall it was brilliant well done castle oaks! 😃

Would like to thank the castle oaks for a great stay for our 40th anniversary. 3 days of pampering and luxury. Great food and drink. Great craic and banter with a great staff in particular josie mags tricia and a special thanks to Simone. Will always recommend this hotel, class act.

Beautiful food and grounds. Very clean and great staff.

Highly recommend the picnic baskets. Food was delicious and not small portions. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The service was 5 star. Definitely go again and try the rest of the menu.

The accommodation was spacious, warm, very clean, well equipped and very private. Front desk staff are polite and helpful. Any request was dealt with efficiently. Pricing is quite reasonable. Beautiful location with a special atmosphere.

Availed of their special 3 course menu on valentines day. Starters and deserts were delicious. Steak, with all the trimmings, cooked to perfection. I don't often write reviews but this was really very good value for money. Will order again!

This brunch box was amazing value nd so fresh and delicious really great idea.

Very Friendly staff, we had afternoon tea and it was perfect.
I will be taking the family for lunch or even takeaway option the whole experience was lovely.

We had a wonderful time there today. Santa and the elves were really lovely and put in great effort. Santas grotto also looked fantastic.
We had booked dinner for afterwards which we all enjoyed.
Hotel staff were all so friendly and had a great sense of festive fun.

Hello today I visited the castle oaks hotel to see Santa with my little girl. It was d best experience for us all, we were greated but the lovely staff elves. Our temp was taking we felt very safe and well looked after. We got hand sanitizer at d entrance … waiting was a beautiful decorated Santa's grotto … the Santa Claus was definitely the best I've being to n six years. He first pumped my little girl n was so great with her e interacted sooo well with her making her feel so special. After she got hot chocolate n reception one happy little girl. Who left with her make at home slime.

Ordered from the at home menu-perfect! would reccomend the wings, fish cakes, and burgers. Easy to order and delivery time was spot on. Will be ordering again.

Went here today for afternoon tea, The selection and amount of food was absolutely amazing, The staff were so so helpful and nothing was too much to ask for.

Had a beautiful dinner bed and breakfast at the Castle Oaks with my wife on Sunday last. Lovely room with fresh fruit on arrival. Beautiful dinner. Nice live music in the garden. What I have to emphasise is how pleasant the entire staff were. Martina on bookings, Teresa at reception/ management, Aoife dinner service and the twin ladies serving breakfast. A most enjoyable staycation. Well done to all. Would recommend a visit.

My family had a function at the Castle Oaks House Hotel last Sunday afternoon. We were very disappointed with the service we received. The food was cold and overall very poor.
The staff lacked attention to basic detail (salt, pepper and butter missing at a number of tables), No manger visable on the floor throughout the 3 course meal, Time frame between courses was excessive at all tables to the extent where some people left before the final course.
Overall it was a very poor experience and well below the expected standard that this hotel had been renowned for.

We had afternoon tea on saturday in the Castle Oaks and it was really lovely! I cannot remember the name of the waitess that was looking after our table but it was her first day and she was absolutely brilliant! We felt very welcomed and very well looked after. We had two vegetarians and one Vegan and it was a great selection.

We had an amazing Afternoon Tea in the Castle Oaks Hotel today, beautiful food and all the staff gave us a lovely warm welcome. We couldn't fault it, they also catered for one of us with a wonderful Gluten Free selection of Afternoon Tea. A really relaxed atmosphere and what a beautiful setting by the river. Highly recommend it, treat yourself!

We had our wedding here in September. The venue is amazing and the staff went above and beyond to do everything they could to make our day unforgettable. Thank you to Adam who we dealt with, nothing was too much trouble and the day went so smooth! If you are looking for an intimate, classic venue then look no further.

We just had our daughters christening in the castle oaks and it was excellent the food service and staff. We also had our wedding reception there back in September 2010 exactly 9 years ago and it was perfect.

Fabulous wedding. Couldn't have asked for more from Adam & his team. Attention to detail was excellent. Meal was delicious with prompt & attentive service. They had no problem with us adding our own personal touches to the venue. Stunning photos & location. Bridal suite lovely, very spacious. My daughter and my son in law had their wedding there on the 26th of July. The whole day was just perfect, everything we asked for we got. The staff were fab, Adam that organized everything was so easy to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lot of family home from America and England and they were amazed with everything. The food was 100%, the accommodation was also perfect, the gardens for photos was also fab. I would highly recommend this venue for any gathering.

Absolutely fantastic, great food, atmosphere was electric, show was fantastic, my husband and I were chosen to be part of the show, it was hilarious and we enjoyed it so much. Than you staff for a fantastic evening.

We had our wedding menu testing today in the hotel and all our food was absolutely delicious. All staff is very friendly and thay make you feel very welcomed. The hotel manager Liam is fantastic and more than helpful to answer all the questions and give best advice. We are just so happy we pick Castle oaks as our wedding reception. We had our wedding here on Friday and everything was perfect Liam the general manger is fantastic every this we wanted we got everything was spot on and we couldnt have asked for better would highly recommend this hotel for anyone's big day. We had our wedding in the Castle Oaks on 15/12/18 and just had the best day. Everything was perfect. There was such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and the food was amazing! couldn't recommend enough.

Stayed here for a family wedding and it was great. The meal was really tasty and the staff were very efficient; the place is really well geared up for holding these events. The room was also very nice, with a view out onto a green area. Breakfast next morning was also excellent, good choice of breakfast food. Again staff were friendly and helpful. Overall very happy with my stay and I'm happy to recommend the Castle Oaks.

We took a lovely walk by the river from a park in nearby Castleconnell, past a Fairy Village and ended up at this lovely hotel. With a wedding in full swing, they took us (a scraggly wet young family of four) in, gave us tasty coffee, cookies & free black currant and were as pleasant and helpful as if we were staying for a week. Big thumbs up from us.

A truly beautiful place for a quiet moment out of town. Everything looks out of time (some would say old fashioned, I found it charming) and I particularly enjoyed the reading room. Breakfast was rather poor, but that's the only bad comment I have. Beds were comfortable. There's a nice swimming pool and fitness centre comprehensive. I enjoyed my stay there.

Hi guys, Joanne here, winner of your Fathers Day Competition… We cannot thank you enough for the most amazing meal today, it was simply mouth watering from start to finish… we almost had to be rolled out the place we ate so much The setting was fabulous and the staff went out of their way to cater for our every need and did so with a smile on their face at all times. We also visited your lovely playground while Dad had a drink in the bar watching the end of the Limerick match Thank you so so much for making this special day even more special for our SuperDad Ian I thoroughly recommend your hotel for any special occasion and we will definitely be back again.

Had a great family function here, the staff could not have been more helpful and attentive. Food was great and very generous. Will definitely be returning here for the next event.

It is really good to have a walk beside the lake. A lot of birds will song for you. If you are lucky you can even catch a lot of fish in the lake. You can lay down on the grasses for hours and feel the serenity of the nature. It has good outside place to gossips with fnf, have tea or drink with them.

To Liam and all the staff at this beautiful venue thank you so much for making my daughters wedding so special. The food was amazing, the service was excellent and the attention to detail was superb. We had as promised a beautiful happy day, thank you again so much. Would highly recommend the Castle Oaks House Hotel.

I attended the Murphy Shire wedding this weekend and I have to say we had a terrific time from start to finish. The food was beautiful.

Old hotel. Staff very good. Newer rooms built outside on the grounds. Beautiful views.

Got married here it is a beautiful venue for a wedding or just to stay. All our guests were raving about it and liam and the team were so helpfull. There is literally nothing would have changed about our special weekend here.

We had our wedding here this year and couldn't recommend Liam and the rest of his team enough. The flow of the day was seamless and the service impeccable. The grounds of course and a big reason why we chose Castle Oaks and the photos we got are simply amazing. If you're lucky enough to have your wedding here, you should!

Dropped into Castle Oaks today while out walking with the kid's. Had a lovely lunch in the bar overlooking the Shannon and the footbridge to Doonass. Food was delicious and staff were really friendly.

Beautiful country side surrounds the hotel with walkway near River bank, lovely staff very helpful polite and professional. The rooms are cosy but could do with some modernisation. Food is very nice great selection with top chefs.

As an overnight wedding guest on 30th December I cannot recommend the Castle Oaks House Hotel highly enough!
From the time we arrived, starving, hoping we could obtain some light meal whilst waiting for the reception to begin we were thrilled to find, set up in the entry foyer, beautiful sandwiches, scones, cream and jam, champagne and hot mulled wine!
Absolutely beautiful!
This was followed by a brilliant wedding meal with competent wait-staff who were friendly and courteous and we even commented on the young age of some.
The food was delicious and plentiful and no drinks were spared when they saw our glasses required topping up!
They were quick to then convert the room into a dance hall!
Our room was beautiful, warm and comfortable with ensuite bathroom and comfortable bed.
Breakfast next morning was plentiful and tasty and even though another wedding was booked for later that day, we were not rushed out even though they had to set up for another day. We were politely and easily guided into the residents bar — more than an hour after breakfast should have been finished at 10am and offered more coffees in there.
From the time we checked in to the time we checked out every member of staff was friendly, courteous and competent. I couldn't recommend this establishment highly enough and you certainly will not regret availing of its services!

We stayed in this hotel for a friend's wedding. Although the hotel is surrounded by beautiful countryside, unfortunately the actual hotel rooms are a let down. We stayed in one of the courtyard suites because the rooms in the main house were fully booked at a cost of 260euros for 2 nights. The rooms are 3 star apparently. The first room we were taken to was extremely tired and had a disabled shower with no bath. The bathroom didn't look that clean and reminded me of a public toilet. We asked to be moved. The second room was a vast improvement but it was still quite basic without simple things like a towel rail. This meant that your towels are soggy when you go to use them next. There was no room service to the garden suites, only the main house. When I booked I asked if the rooms in the courtyard were they same standard as the main house and was informed they were — this is not the case. The heating is old-fashioned and the room had not been heated when we arrived. Also, the water had not been switched on so we had to wait for this to heat up. It all felt like it lacked comfort and the basics to make our stay comfortable. A shame as it has such potential and could be soooooo much better! Having said all this the staff could not have been helpful and polite and the food (we had breakfast, lunch and dinner) were all delicious. Just a shame the room wasn't up to standard. In definite need of a refurb.

Me and my boyfriend went to this hotel just a few days ago. We stayed in the presidential suite and we loved it there, the hotel staff was amazing (except one blond women who wasnt too nice). The restaurant was just incredible, the room was spacious and beautiful. Their garden was huge and beautiful. The hotel is in a bit off a difficult location. I would advice if you are traveling by a bus to get a bus eireann to limerick and than a train to Castleconnell that would be easy and is not too far away from the train station. The hotel was just amazing so relaxing and calm. Perfect for everyone.

Five star hotel at three star prices. Converted Georgian mansion that has lots of its original features — and decorated with oil paintings and the hallway has an amazing stairway (we took lots of photos). Charming hotel with the friendliest staff I have ever met in any hotel I've ever stayed. I strongly recommend staying in one of the courtyard suites — great value for money. The bar food is as good as any restaurant in Limerick.

It's been a few years since we in the castle oaks hotel were, but I remember very well well-equipped small cottages and an impressive main house with a small Park in front of it. Everything is very clean and well maintained. For Breakfast in the main house, there was the choice between full Irish Breakfast and continental Breakfast. The traditional Irish Breakfast was every time according to our Wishes and fresh brought to the table. In addition, you could find yourself at the rich buffet Breakfast is served. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful, even when there is no German-speaking staff at that time was, you could communicate well. My husband had a great salmon fishing, without any problems in the house freezer was frozen, so we made him good in the Luggage on the plane to take home ;-) The small sport was well done — there was a gym, tennis courts and even a small swimming pool, if I remember right. I liked the old bridge over the river Shannon with the small beach directly below the castle oaks very well. Also walks on the river up to the place were very nice. Destinations around, there was enough for 10 days we spent there. It was a great vacation!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Castleoaks a few weeks ago and overall we enjoyed it. Breakfast was nice and room was spacious. However, I found that the bar staff were not very good. There was more than one on duty, however they were not serving customers and very quickly there was a line of people waiting to get served. My boyfriend went out to look for the bar man and found him talking to the other barman. When my boyfriend asked could he get served, the barman told him he was busy and he would have to wait. Not very impressed with the bar service.

Lovely Limerick Hotel in a lovely scenic setting. Staff are very friendly and food is excellent.
