We had the most delicious ‘Afternoon Tea’ in the Great Southern today! Couldn’t praise the hotel enough. Fabulous food, brilliant staff (special mention to the lovely Martina & Ms Lucey at Guest Relations) — everyone was so pleasant and really welcoming to our children. They also presented Mom with a lovely ‘birthday dessert’! Really wonderful hotel that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Killarney!

Day 1 at the great southern superb our 6 children gave us this unbelievable 40 th wedding anniversary a 2 day experience at this great southern hotel 5 star plus Staff are unbelievably friendly and well versed in making our stay so wonderful Edision hopefully I got his name correct gave us brilliant service Employee of the month The meal we had tonight in browns OMG value quality quantity and delicious then had a few glasses of wine served by edision and listened to the most beautiful pianist and beautiful singing of this lovely girl unfortunately I don’t know her name We then retired to our out of this world fantastic suit Thank so much great southern Looking forward to day 2 with breakfast treatments and evening meal 👍👍😍😍😍😋😋

I don't even know where to start with this hotel. It is the most beautiful hotel iv ever been too. The staff are out of this world they go above and beyond for everybody. Its like home from home when you visit this hotel. I recently got married here and I could not recommend it enough. They made you feel so special from the minute you walk through the door. To coffee in the foyer, drinks in the bar, dinner at the restaurant this hotel is truly spectacular. If you haven't visited here yet, DO IT!

The great southern hotel was absolutely amazing. I stayed there for 2 nights with my friend during the week. The staff were absolutely amazing and so friendly. Everything about the hotel was wow. The food was amazing. I will definetly be going back.

We had a family stay in the hotel last weekend and will highly recommend. The service was out of this world, the staff were professional & friendly, the food was absolutely delicious, the location is brilliant, the room was spacious & beautiful, our kids have a brilliant time in their own little room & enjoyed the very entertaining kids club. Cant recommend this hotel enough stayed here for a week with our family and friends in a self catering house. The house was spotless and had everything. The staff in hotel could not do enough for us. And a special shout out to the kids club which was unbelievable our daughter didn't want to leave, the girls there were so warm and friendly. Will definitely be back.

We recently held our intimate family wedding at The Great Southern. From the moment we entered the hotel we were treated like royalty. The staff were amazing. So friendly and attentive. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and festive, cosy vibes radiated throughout the building. The food was delicious and so well presented. Attention to detail was evident in every aspect of our wedding experience. We were so delighted we chose The Great Southern. From the management, wedding planners, Rachel and Denise, conceriege team, restaurant managers, chefs, housekeeping and bar staff, you all made our experience unforgettable. A heartfelt thank you to all of you. We couldn't have asked for a nicer venue. We look forward to returning again soon.

100% recommend the Great Southern Killarney. From all levels of staff the treatment we recieved was impeccable. It must be noted that the hotel were following the Covid19 guidelines and at all times and myself and my girlfriend felt very much at ease. Recognition must go to the waiters and waitresses who worked so indiligently and professional at all times. We will be returning and recommending. Best wishes for 2021

From been upgraded, to very helpful staff and stunning surrounds The Great Sourthern was a very special pick. The attention to detail is exquisite. Doctors should prescribe a great away here.

Had a lovely time here, the girls in the spa were fantastic. I was never so relaxed after my treatment and we went into have afternoon tea. Martina was amazing, such a lovely person. It's a fabulous hotel. I also went to a wedding here few years ago. Amazing. We live not far from your sister hotel (hayfield manor) another fabulous hotel. With the covid safety regulations staff were brilliant constantly wiping things down. Would go back again.

Stayed at this Hotel recently and had a fabulous few days there. The Christmas Decorations as you enter the Hotel are just beautiful — Decor in bedroom is so tasteful. The food is excellent and all staff are so friendly. Can’t wait to return.

This is the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in, the room — a deluxe overlooking the gardens, with a balcony was absolutely fabulous. Staff were excellent and very friendly. We are already planning our next visit.

The Great Southern is a hotel that lives up to the standards of olden day hotels, nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who will go out of their way to make you feel welcome, comfortable and well fed. The rooms are larger than normals, the facilities are excellent, including the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. A wonderful choice for those exploring beautiful Killarney.

Went to see the Celtic Steps held at Great Southern Killarney and the venue was a great place for such a show. It was grand in appearance, clean and comfortable. Glad I was there.

Pleasantly surprised that this luxurious hotel is family friendly! The pool and park were great for our one year old son, and we loved the room, food, afternoon tea, staff and view from our room! Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Thank you for a memorable stay.

We just had our wedding here and we could not praise everyone at the hotel enough on every aspect of hospitality and attention to detail. Denise was amazing in every aspect of our wedding planning and on the day. It is a super place to stay and dine also in general as many of our guests and we did for a few days either before our after our wedding. The staff are a credit to the hotel and we’re looking forward to our next visit already!

Amazing venue for the wedding we were at, wedding venue was great, accommodation was great. BUT we paid €210 for bed and breakfast for one night and this has to be the worst breakfast I've ever eaten, pure cr@p.
Ask for the gluten free breakfast and got a poached egg on white toast. Sausage was small and burnt, rasher was cremated.
I'd advise to go down the town for the breakfast.

We just had our wedding at the malton and stayed for 3 nights. It is a fantastic hotel with even better staff. From the moment we booked last year, the wedding team could not do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble and every call or email was answered promptly. Jilly especially made our dream a reality. On the day she went above and beyond to the point where she stood outside in the rain to hold my dress up so it wouldn't get wet. I have never tasted better food at a wedding. My guests have been commenting on the quality of the staff, service and food all weekend. On behalf of myself and my new husband, we would like to thank you all very much! We can't wait to return.

We stayed at The Malton for three nights. From the first day we arrived we were delighted with the reception we got; from the very genuinely friendly concierge to the gentleman of a porter who helped us with our luggage; he not only moves things around, he (Sean) told us where to go and what to do with the kids, very knowledgeable and full of ideas. The restaurant food was amazing, even the kids ate! The food is seriously high-end and the atmosphere is splendour and 'treat'! And the wine! Amazing bar with amazing staff. The kids club is just heaven! The girls are brilliant and to watch them with the kids is great as we know they are going to have a great time. The room is beautiful. Walked into a double bedroom (two rooms with two very large beds) with a very large bathroom breaking it up, which is great with kids as it feels like two rooms. All in all a beautiful hotel with a very special feel to it that makes you and the family feel special and treated like true guests, huge recommendation for anyone (kids or not) to stay for as long as possible!
