Food amazing, staff so friendly, rooms spacious and clean … 5out 5

Yesterday I came back after one night at the hotel. I bought a package with Tayto Park for me, my husband and my two kids. The check in went smoothly. Room 508 terrible, downright a room from my nightmares, I didn't feel comfortable at all in this place. The bathroom was plucked, the enamel was coming off the bathtub, the sink was very cracked, the aluminum handles were rusty. In the room and in the bathroom, a mould on the ceiling. Completely not dusted carpet in the room. I was afraid to sleep there. Lobby dirty, old toilet smell everywhere and even the aroma diffusers couldn't fix it. For dinner I chose fish and chips, which was completely impossible to eat, because it was so fat, however, my husband (who has celiacs) and the children were satisfied. The breakfast was delicious — one thing that was wonderful for me during this stay. We checked out very quickly, I just wanted to run away from this place. In a word, this was my worst hotel experience ever. I will never go back there again.

Quick check in room nice and clean mostly apart from the ledge above the toilet in the bathroom which should be clean considering the covid situation but room itself spotless. Bar and mgmt is great friendly and helpful good pints. Live entertainment is loud on the first floor and I wouldn't advise it for a family break but right spot if you enjoy a drink and a bit of craic. Central location and handy parking and great value €89 bb for both myself and hubby on lidl breaks. Our room 101 is on the main street and the noise from other bars up the road on the street at closing time was fairly loud. Again OK for couples or groups already up and drinking but for a quiet getaway it's not the spot. We personally liked it now but deffo go without the kids or u won't get a wink of sleep.

To improve this hotel first of all I would teach your staff some manners. One lady manger in particular 🤔 Ive travelled all over Ireland and Europe I can honestly say this is this worst hotel ive every stayed at. I would be here all night if I was to write everything down. How its even open to the public is beyond me the rooms our filthy not cleaned or serviced. I rang reception for toilet rolls to be question there was 2 rolls on arrival Friday I was booked in for 3 nights. Hotel not child friendly No swimming pool but says there is one in hotel its 20 minutes drive. You must pay for parking. Selling fizzy drinks cans charging 2.50 per can when it clearly states on can not for individual resale. I would not recommend this hotel its not fit to have 1 star. 🌟🙉🙉🙉🙉🙉

Absolutely loved my stay here this weekend. I was very well looked after as a Coeliac and Vegatarian. The staff were all very helpful, polite and friendly. The rooms were spacious and spotless. I'd highly recommend a stay here.

We had our wedding here last week. The staff were amazing especially Nicola who we dealt with. The hotel was beautiful and the food was out of this world.

Stayed for 5 days staff are so friendly clean rooms comfortable rooms very big rooms the food was astonishing very tasty breakfast was great and evening meals were brilliant well done chefs 👍 night Porter Martin was brilliant very friendly staff would highly recommend staying here see you all next year.

Stayed here on 11th August for 2 nights and had a lovely time, room was nice and food was lovely, staff very friendly, lovely hotel and will be booking again soon.

A fantastic venue for a wedding. Location is excellent right in the heart of Navan and just of the motorway, only 40 minutes from Dublin. The staff are so friendly and will give you 100% of their attention. Highly recommended!

We recently had our reception in the Newgrange Hotel and it was just perfect couldn't recommend it more the staff, food and everything was unbelievable thanks so much for making our day one to remember.

We booked our wedding with the newgrange hotel & I have to say they were very professional they made our day feel very stress free & very relaxed. From the moment we walked through the door they couldn't do enough for us & went out of there way to make us feel comfortable. The food was fab & we couldn't fault a thing, Thank you for our special day. Mr & Mrs Barnett.

Absolutely love this place another fabulous function here on 23rd Sept for our little girls Christening. The staff as usual were amazing function room decorated lovely, bedrooms fabulous and food was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommend the Newgrange and look forward to our next night out

Even though we had a small wedding, they treated us like celebrities and with lots of love a attention! The room was lovely, the food amazing and the Bridal suite just incredible! Jacuzzi, nice toiletries, robes, fruits and water… thank you for everything!

We held our wedding here on Friday 20/07/18, and we couldn't be any happier with how the day turned out. Big thanks to Caroline who helped us all the way up, and a huge thanks to Louise who looked after us for the whole weekend, she is a huge asset to the hotel and it wouldn't have been the same without her and not forgetting Michelle who also checked in with us over the weekend to make sure all was ok. The staff were fantastic and every meal we had over the whole weekend was… delicious.

We held our wedding at the Newgrange on 07/07/2018. We started planning in February 2017 and had the full support of Caroline, Louise, Emma and the rest of the event planning staff for almost 18 months. The staff were outstanding, Caroline was extremely responsive throughout the entire process and could not have been more helpful. The staff on the day were wonderful and truly went above and beyond what we'd expected — they ensured that we did not see each other until the ceremony without even being asked. We went for the All-Inclusive Package which was excellent value for money when compared to other venues in and around Dublin. Our guests were well fed and taken care of, and there were a number of wonderful small touches, for example in how they set up the table with our guest book and table plan. The bridal suite was lovely, and overall our guests' rooms were clean with all the necessary amenities. Parking was somewhat limited due to the hotel's refurbishment but as we arrived the day before the wedding this was not an issue.
We would definitely recommend holding a wedding at the Newgrange Hotel, the excellent staff are truly what made our day so memorable! Thanks so much :)

We had a wonderful stay. The staff is incredibly accommodating, and the food here was terrific. I'd highly recommend the hotel to anyone traveling through this historic area.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is also very good. The common areas have a historical feel with beautiful old wood. But the rooms are dated, the bedding feels old and quite used, and there were issues with the hot water in my room. So all-in-all, it's a bit of a mixed bag.

Recently stayed at the hotel. May 18 On arrival we were told there was no parking. Room very shabby & not well maintained. Room standard not reflective of the price charged. Paid €155 B&B. Your Money would better spent in a well maintained local B&B. Where you would get value for money. Contacted hotel by mail with pics to substansiate my point. Received a dismissive mail. A wk later. Would not recommend this hotel 2 star at best.

Had the carvery lunch here today … the chef was very polite and helpful … meals were very tasty … portions were big and great value for money … staff were lovely … we’ll definitely be back.

Great as always, maybe more bar staff would’nt have gone amiss considering tommy tiernan was in da house! But food and beer was excellent, and of course Tommy’s concert was hilarious.

Rowleys pub in newgrange is a great place for lunch. Lovely food and great prices. It’s usually quiet enough and the staff are always friendly and polite. The portions are quite big too which is well worth the money.

Great price and service. The rooms are spacious, tidy, comfortable and with all the bits you'd expect. The breakfast was fantastic — we stayed there before working a full day of filming and we needed every ounce and it didn't disappoint! Full selection of cooked food, cereals, toast, fruit and good coffee. We would stay here again for work.

The suite was amazing. Huge room with jacuzzi and big shower. Loved being able to relax afterwards with the flat screen smart tv. Will be back!

The Newgrange Hotel is ideal for your stay in Navan. The hotel entrance is very unassuming. On entering it has a spacious 'olde world' feel to it… hardwood panelled doors, bookcases, ornate tables and chairs in the bar and foyer. A sort of "Castle-like" atmosphere to it all. The rooms are comfortable. The bathrooms are clean, free from wear and tear. Bedroom furniture is again of hardwood style, not as airy as more modern hotel decor. This is a style choice, in-keeping with the overall theme. Location is ideal. Russell's Bistro is across the street. The Palace Bar is next door to that for Thu, Fri or Sat night boogie'ing. Plenty of pubs and other eateries are within 5 mins walk. On its own I would probably award 3 stars, but with location thrown in and an underground car park, it gets the 4th star from me.

5 Stars for a 3 Stars Hotel, This is ideal Hotel to stay if you are in Navan, the price is decent and the rooms are spacious enough. Staff is nice and they will help you with anything you need. Breakfast is ok I will like to see a bit more stuff vegetarian/ vegan friendly food but overall is ok.

So quaint, charming and clean. The food in the restaurant was good, the employees were wonderful, and the entire facility was lovely!

This is a pleasant hotel and a nice change from the typical big chain hotels I usually use. I particularly liked the pub attached to the hotel. Free parking is provided but it must be said it is a very tight squeeze so care must be taken. Breakfast was good and the hotel is clean and tidy throughout. There are a number of public areas and lounges in which to relax. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only problem I had was I had to turn the bath taps on fully to get the water at the sink to run hot. I will make this my first choice in hotels if returning to the area.

One of the best hotels I've been in for a long time. The staff can't do enough for you. Barmen Mark & Donal really know how to look after their customers. 5 star customer service.

Carvery here is excellent staff are also great I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because on the day the special was gone at 2pm on a Sunday and also the price is a bit steep.

I would dine here regulary. Has bar n snack food. Also one of the towns best cavarys 7 days a week. Has its own top class resturant. Real friendly professional mangement n staff. Do enjoy.

Nice older type of hotel. Didn't stay the night but used the facilities for a conference. Staff were polite and helpful. Food was great. Loved the fact that it is an old hotel as it oozes character and very good value for money. Has it's own car park but given the age and location of the building the spaces are narrow. However I really liked this hotel. Oh and by the way the coffee is really good.

Newgrange Hotel in Navan is ideally situated in Navan town. Although I have not stayed overnight at this hotel its somewhere I would like to do so in the future. Its a beautiful place both inside and Out with onsite parking, and their food is absolutely gorgeous and reasonably priced. It is also a child friendly which is an absolute must.

Stayed in this hotel with my daughter for one night. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, as was the staff at breakfast. Couldn't do enough for you. However, when we arrived the room was very shabby and not very clean and broken coffee table. Beds… not sure if made… felt as if someone just pulled covers up… Rang reception and asked to move to another room. The staff were excellent, very apologetic and moved us to another much bigger clean room. Breakfast was fine and our experience was good. The hotel is very tired and needs a complete overhaul… The staff in the hotel make up for the down falls in the hotel, which management should acknowledge… Thank you …

Had my wedding yesterday and it was like a fairy tale. The manager Louise was a first class lady. Met her only once and everything was just the way we planned and nothing was a problem. She is nice with great customer skills. The chef and the menu was top class. All the guests enjoyed the food and staffs on the floor were brilliant and Louise floor staff amazing. There was no little details missed by Louise the manager. Highly recommend her. X.

Very nice room, comfortable bed, and clean. Pub/restaurant attached. Was disappointed that there was no coffee in the room, and the room was warm. Opening the window provided cool air, but also much street noise. Location isn't one I would stay at again as there isn't much around it to do or places to shop within walking distance, and it's an older/less well-kept area than others.

The common areas of the Newgrange are aesthetically lovely but that is the highlight of this place. THE STAFF — Every member of the staff I encountered were very professional and welcoming. Check in was simple and easy. No complaints there. THE SMELL — the whole hotel smells of that sour smell that hotels have when they allow smoking. Our room smelled so bad I had to put essential oil under my nose to sleep. THE NOISE — Our room (209) was situated in such a way that the door to the next room (210) was right next to it. Normally this isn't an issue but the people in that room would congregate outside of the two doors and talk loudly. When they weren't doing that they were going in and out every 45 seconds or so, each time slamming the door. I realize this wasn't the hotels fault and I did call down to the desk and they said they sent someone up to tell them to be quiet but nothing changed. We had to run two sound machine apps to drown out that as well as the noise from the bar below. THE ROOM — Our room had a single bed but then there was all of this oddly placed furniture around the room. We had to move some of it to get to the luggage rack. The bathroom also used the space oddly, and as the counter space and water pressure was good, it just seemed dirty in there. There was minimal toiletries provided. THE FOOD — The food was ok, not great, not bad. I had the fried Cod and Cesar salad.

Went there for a wedding and stayed a few nights. Really lovely place, lovely room and helpful staff. Has a really fun pub attached too.

It was like a honeymoon homely relaxing and very very comfortable the enterer in the bedroom was out off this world and well done too whoever did lay out and decour the newgrange hotel in bridge street navan is is the most beautfull and well laid out the mangament and staff are very very welcomeing and friendly they make your stay very very enjoybale the food is exeland well presented and the servies and staff are very very good helpfull and good personalty I will go back when I can as seamus and myself marian travel allot.
