Myself and my husband Andy got married there last week from start to finish no task was too big or small. Aogan and Karen were so helpful with everything and the personal touches to our room was a 100%. Their staff are a credit to them they spoke to us all on a personal level the food was amazing served by the best a special mention to Shirley who looked after my son who is autistic I had explained the situation and she made sure he was well looked after. Our great bar staff maya katie and Jennifer who looked after us all night we really got to know them on personal level too they were just so nice. Our band Clockwize and dj ended our night as we bopped the night away the floor wasn’t emptied once. I would highly recommend the Glenside hotel for a wedding and stay they are the best at what they do Thank you so much for making our day so special not only for us but for our friends and family I’m still getting texts saying it’s the best wedding they’ve been at 💕🎉🤵🏻‍♂️👰🏻‍♀️🥂

Hi myself and my new husband shared our big day in the glenside it was wonderful from the word go from management to staff and of course our wonderful guests it couldnt have ran more smoothly from the wonderfull menu and a hearty meal they couldnt have done more for us karen and Aogan were great from start to finish with the wedding arrangements and ensuring that a family orientated venue was had by all, along with all the great suppliers and the staff on hand it was like an adventure that was unfolding as it happened. I would highly recommend the glenside hotel to anybody looking to get married in the near future, thanks for the memories glenside family Barry & Amanda.

A big thank you to Karen, Aogán and all the staff in the Glenside Hotel. We had our wedding on the 18th of August 22 and it was the most happy and relaxed day for us and family. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had the perfect day.

I would highly recommend the Glenside we had our wedding on the 22nd of July and everything from the time we booked in 2019 until we had our day was just amazing after changing our date 4 times due to covid Karen and Aoghan done everything to make our day special the food and service was just excellent and all our guests couldn’t complement the day enough special thank you to Jennifer who couldn’t do more for us on the day. We had our baby's christening in the Glenside last Sunday and it was a brilliant day. The staff were so friendly and helpful and efficient! 😀

Thinking of having your wedding at the Glenside? Well …. Do it! Karen and Aogan are not only owners of this beautifully renovated hotel but the most incredible wedding planners 🤩 No ask was too much and they never made us feel like we were asking too much when they brought our dream to life! The day itself was amazing. I can honestly say I wouldn’t have change a single thing and that’s a credit to the hotel and it’s incredible teamof staff… every staff member in this hotel offers something special and help make the hotel the perfect place to have your wedding. I will always be grateful to this hotel for what they have given to myself and my new husband. Oh and I know everyone already knows it’s. But the food at the Glenside Hotel is beautiful. The saying is “you’ll never leave the Glenside hungry” and it’s very true 😁Thank you very very much 🤵‍♂️🤵‍♂️

The food was excellent and lots of it. Staff were very friendly. The Glenside ideal for a Wedding.

We had our wedding here on the 30th of December 2021. From the very start Karen Agon and staff were very friendly nothing was too much trouble for them they even got in touch with people that we could not get to arrange meetings ECT. The day and night of the wedding was brilliant we had everyone that was at the wedding telling us that they had a ball. We really wanna say a huge to thank you to Karen Agon and staff we really did have a ball. Karen Agon and Shirley were very pleasant to deal with when arranging the food ECT. The band clockwise were brilliant had everyone up on the dance floor from the minute they started to play untill they finished. Would highly recmond the Glenside even for a meal the food is lovely even for weddings once again a huge thanks from Rosie and David Hughes.

Good manners and verry friendly and best place to get married as we are getting married in 3 weeks and the food is perfect and drinks and the rooms are so beautiful to stay over my self and my husband to be would recommend the glenside hotel and thank you so to the glenside hotel for 2 nights away with them for our 4 years anniversary together to day thanks again Rosie and David.

Hi Karen, Im finally getting around to thanking you, Aoghan and all the staff at the Glenside. We had an amazing wedding day. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was fab, our experience was so relaxed and could not fault anything. I would highly recommend for anyone planning a wedding. A special mention to Christine who was so friendly, helpful and great with kids. She was just the loveiest lady. The Glenside will always see us regularly and is a wonderful asset to Drogheda and surrounding areas. Many thanks again. Georgina & Garreth.

Just had a take away Family Turkey & Ham dinner for Mothers day with all the trimmings & desert plus a complimentary cup cake. It was absolutely gorgeous couldn't fault it in any way. Delicious 😋 great value for money, the portions were very generous. Thank you.

Got the family tray turkey snd ham for Mother’s Day absolutely delicious highly recommend it and more than enough for 4 people.

Collected a fantastic takeaway Turkey & ham family portion serves 4-5. All lean cuts with stuffing and roast potatoes. Beautiful selection of the freshest veg in a seperate tray. Carrots, broccoli & cauliflower. Piping hot. Seperate portion gravy too. Delicious. So convenient. Just serve & eat. Kids loved it too. Very efficient service you book a time slot, they take your car reg. And when you arrive at your designated time slot they ring you while you're in your car … to go into the lobby and collect. Would highly recommend.

Can't highly recommend the takeaway enough the chicken burgers cheese bacon fries where amazing.

We celebrated my daughters confirmation at the glen side on Thursday, The food was just amazing the service was brilliant! The little touches like her name in the menu and the gift use gave her where lovely touches! Can’t recommend this place enough we had a lovely evening thanks so much guys!

Good people working there. And they look after the community around them especially the elderly folks. Five stars.

Ben and stayed at the glenside last night, we had won the valentines meal for two, and I cannot recommend this place enough, we dined in Henry's bar and the food was beyond amazing and the decor was just stunning, the room was lovely and comfy, breakfast was amazing, and the staff were exceptional.

A fantastic venue with great staff who go above and beyond.

Wow what can I say, probably one of the nicest meals I've ever had, Henrys restaurant has blown me away, definitely recommend the blackbudden salad it's amazing, Angelo well done to you and the guys, there was 7 of us and they are hard critic's but never heard one complaint at our table, steaks cooked to perfection but then I would have expected that from you thanks so much to Sarah for looking after us the service was 100%

We had our wedding in The Glenside on 30/12/2018 and what a day it was! I firstly want to thank Marie, the wedding coordinator, for everything! From our first meeting to the wedding day itself, you could not have done enough for us! You made us feel so at ease and ensured we were happy with every detail, and constantly kept us in the loop throughout the whole wedding planning process.
We were blown away by the service on the day and the friendliness of all the staff! What an absolutely incredible team of people they have working there! They could not have done enough for us and the room looked absolutely stunning, better than we ever could’ve imagined!
The food was spectacular! Everyone says this about the Glenside, but you have to experience it to believe it! All of our guests commented on how amazing the food was and they were so right! Also, any dietary requirements on the day were catered for and it was never a hassle to change something about the dish.
Thank you for making our day so special, I cannot recommend The Glenside Hotel enough!

Good food, busy place. Half hour wait for our table even though it had been booked, however that's not really something the staff can control. Starters came out promptly, slight delay on the mains and then it seemed like they forgot about us. Desserts were amazing but the coffee was cold.

Stayed in the area but ate on a Wednesday night there, unfortunately the restaurant was closed but ate in the bar area on a limited menu but the food was very good. Would definitely try agin on future visit.

Stayed here last night with family. Had tasty pub grub. Lovely room with large tv. Comfortable beds. Spotlessly clean. Great shower. Lovely breakfast with best fresh fruit bowl I've had in small hotel. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone staying in this area.

Popped in on the way home. Had a really nice burger. Full of flavour with cheese and egg and chips. Nice service too.

Lovely hotel and location, beautiful scenery. Staff really polite and helpful. One of my kids actually fell and cut her head open, staff helped so much with first aid and even checking up on her to see if she was ok, even gave my kids complimentary ice cream and parents drinks even though it wasn't their fault. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend it.

Friendly staff. Lovely clean room. Breakfast tasty. Well recommended. 4 stars instead of 5 cos the bar/dining room could be less cramped with tables and furnished more comfortably! … an extension into their lovely big garden would improve it immensely! … would stay again no bother!

If booking this venue be prepared to be very quiet. No laughing after 7. Or you will be asked to leave.

From moment we arrived for my daughter's communion the staff went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meal and time there. Will defiently be back.

Just went to a function for kids finishing up creche it's called graduation. That was lovely to see but room was a bit small couldn't see the kids when seated but it was lovely to see kids dressed up and we had lunch there (Cavery)

Arrived very late but the hotel managed a more than acceptable meal after the kitchen had closed. Comfortable hotel and friendly staff, well worth a visit.

Lovely grub fast service and great value.

I spent a lot of family occasions in my youth at the Glenside. Unfortunately it has not changed in the last twenty five years. Whilst I cannot comment on the rooms the bar is more like a canteen and quite uncomfortable. The function room is extremely drab and old fashioned… and the soup and sandwiches served to our group — zero love went into those sandwiches. I'm pretty sure it was the same recipe of soup I had there at my first holy Communion.

My parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in The Glenside Hotel last weekend. It was a night that they, nor us, will ever forget. Everything was just so perfect from start to finish. With the red carpet on arrival, the champagne reception, fairy light backdrop, food, table decor, cake, flowers, hotel staff, service; everything was stunning. A special mention to Marie, the event planner, who honestly couldn't have done more to make sure everything went to plan on the night. Marie put in so much effort to make sure my Mam and Dad had the most special night. Nothing was too much trouble and Marie organised everything to perfection. She loves what she does and it shows, there is nothing we could fault. The bar staff / waiting staff & management also deserve a mention as they too worked so hard to make sure everything went well on the night. Everyone really went over and beyond. All in all, I cannot recommend The Glenside enough! Whether its a party or a special occasion / wedding, you wont be disappointed. Thank you Aogan & all the staff at The Glenside Hotel for everything. My parents deserved only the best and that's exactly what they got. Cant wait for the next party! ;)

Had a lovely carvery here recently for a very reasonable price. There is a lovely calm & peaceful air to the hotel and really nice staff.

A lovely little hotel. Rooms are nice and clean and very reasonably priced. My mum lost a very expensive ring during our stay. The staff searched everywhere and found it. Really impressed with all aspects of the service too. We are there for a Christmas party. There are probably 150 people there… menu was great, food was pipping hot and the courses were served very promptly. Excellent overall… will definitely be back.

We had our Christmas do in the Glenside. It was a great night ☺. Great drinks reception on arrival. Great meal. The chef cooked me a amazing vegan meal with lovely pancakes for desert. ☺. Staff very friendly and helpful. So a big thank you to each and every one of yous.

Stayed in the Hillary Suite. Really needs some maintenance. No point in having a door key as the latch wad broken. Light switches missing their caps. Valves broken on radiators so heating stuck on all night. On the plus side the staff were really friendly and breakfast was good, albeit a bit small.

Tv. Coffee. Wi-fi i would recommend to anyone for wedding or just to go relax for a night away. Im sorry I did not get names of the wonderful staff from reception to waiting/ bar and all who worked to make this a wonderful day/night oh and morning with no pressure to leave:) ) ) ). I would like to thank event manager caroline and all her wonderful staff… nuala x.

Had my wedding 19th may. Marie is absolutely no1 at her job. She made everything better than perfect for us. Food is to die for, everyone was raving about how delicious the grub was. Highly recommend. Marie is the best around at what she does! Cannot thank her enough. X.

Great place where do I start fantastic we usually go for dinner most weeks decided to stay the nite treat ourselves food fantastic lunch yum dinner yum and breakfast well that was yum yum great staff will definitely be back.

I'm basing my rating on the food only. It's homely and satisfying. Generally seating is available but I waiting times wouldn't be long. I've never been disappointed with the food here.

Found the restaurant very clear and same with the staff, nice and bright place. Had the steak was one of the better ones I have had in the last while and good value. nice place over all.

Small rooms that smell of smoke. Breakfast is good though can be slow. Drinks reasonable price.
