I've gotta say — the actual room was good, no problem there, and the staff was very helpful. The location is also a plus — it's right next to the bus station, very close to city centre. However, the bathrooms were kinda rough — clean enough, but very old looking, and not in a vintage way. I couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi at all. There's no breakfast and no common room, not to my knowledge at least. I feel like you can get all above at a similar price, if you book early enough for there to be place, which we couldn't do.

Great experience for first time hostil stay. The breakfast was amazing and appreciate the help in finding my way around. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to. I would stay again.

Very nice rooms with private bathrooms, very good for the location for being a tourist in Dublin.

Clean, good inclusive breakfast, evening treats. I. E drinks /ice cream. Great position nice staff. Beds have privacy screen near pillow. Bed has light and electric socket.

Some of the staff were just rude, pricks and unprofessional, they just complain on customer for silly things (lost the card with the code for the entrance) and then at another time I didnt have time to get out of my purse that the guy openned and asked me for it, I showed it to him and he started to complain on me that id get locked etc andothers incidents the way the staff talk is just not how you should be threating your customer.

I can only describe this stay as a chaos of sleep deprivation and unprofessional staff. Our room was not only noisy from music from the street, (which you expect in city centre location) but faulty plumbing which meant if anyone in the hostel used the toilet or had a shower, we have the joy of hearing the loud rattling and moaning of the pipes throughout our room. The first night, we put it down to a bad experience, picked ourselves up with our four hour sleep and raised it a…t reception with the hope it would get sorted for our final night of a 3 day stay in Dublin. It didn’t. We went down to reception at 11:30pm and again at 1am to complain the noise was getting worse. The guy on reception told me his job his just to press the button to let people out and he couldn’t switch us rooms, so I asked him to help us find an alternative hotel, and his response was that’s not my job, you’ve got internet to do it. I attempted 2 more hours of this nightnare before we packed an overnight bag and headed out wandering aimlessly around Dublin trying to find somewhere else. Thankfully, another hostel took pity on us, gave us their last room and a late check out and informed us of how to complain against skybackpackers. We’ve arrived back this morning to find no manager on site, no notes to suggest they are even aware of our room issues or that we left for another hotel in the middle of the night.

It's not awful, it's not even bad but it's drab and uninviting. Pros — Breakfast included (if not it's only a bit extra, and the breakfast is all right) cons — Beds not comfortable — Staff unresponsive, arrogant or downright stoned and sleepy, no integrity — no airco, extremely hot inside during my stay in summer — street is noisy — Expensive — A general sense of gloom and drabness.

Some good things. But mostly uncomfortable. Sky backpackers is an inexpensive hostel in a perfectly central location in Dublin. They have tiny nightly events to get guests together and they have a nice hang out space. The front desk people were helpful and kind. My issue with this hostel had to do with 2 relatively important things. First, each room has a single bathroom. There isn’t a communal large bathroom as is common with hostels. This made showering and using the restroom pretty inconvenient and a little uncomfortable as in, if you drop a deuce, the whole room is going to stink, which it did. Also coming home after midnight made me feel really bad about showering as I didn’t want to disturb the 5 other guests in my room. There is a single shower and toilet in the common space, but that wasn’t very convenient to use. The second point that made this stay nearly unbearable was the room temperature. Now I understand I happened to be in Dublin during a heat wave, but the lack of ventilation, air conditioning, or even a fan made sleeping impossible. It was hot as balls in that room with 6 bodies tossing and turning all night trying to find a cool part of the sheet. I barely slept for 3 nights. So all in all, I’d stay elsewhere if I were you. The lack of sleep and comfortable bathroom situation made this stay quite poor.

Whether you’re backpacking or getting away on holiday this is a wonderful hostel to rest your weary mind, body and soul. There is a 3 Euro breackfast (or it may be included with your room) and it isn’t that bad. There are two decent sized common spaces for those who want to hang out in the hostel and not outside. The rooms are great and the temp is similar to that outside so come ready to be hot or cold. If you complain or you can’t handle the hostel life then I suggest finding a hostel a little more away from the busy that is Dublin.

Lovely breakfast, rooms were smaller then I expected, the room was clean and the bedsheets were made up. Good communicating with people around in the hostel, there are events to meet people. I got a lot of information from the receptionist they know the city very well!

The hostel is fine, I've just had much nicer experiences at cheaper hostels. Many times I've stayed in hostels where the staff was what made the experience great. They hang out with the guests, give suggestions and advice, promote outings etc but at sky backpackers the staff is cornered off by the entrance and they are not exceptionally friendly or helpful. Maybe it's part of the design though since they are stuck behind a desk. The free food/drinks were very limited, you had to be there pretty early to get any and the breakfast was just ok. Also, I was in Dublin for a warm weekend and the room was very stuffy and hot. Not to mention it smelled like farts (which I can't blame thaton the hostel). It's not a bad hostel or anything. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, you could rent towels and locks for your belongings, but next time I would probably take a chance and go for a cheaper hostel. The higher price I paid for this hostel did not count for much.

The location is great and the cleanliness of room and bathroom okay but if you need more than a bed to sleep, you shouldn't go here. In the large room of 4, roommates were still active until 1.30 hours.

When I am in Dublin, I always stay here. It is safe, clean and FUN. It is right across the River Liffy from Temple bar, and within easy walking distance to movies, museums, and landmarks. There is a different group activity every night, burgers, nachos, free beer or wine, ice cream, and others. Breakfast is adequate and tasty, and the kettle is always on. They have a nice kitchen that one can use. I LOVE this place.

Nice spot in the city centre. I know it was a bank holiday weekend but it was still slightly over priced for the bunks. Of the price came down a bit it'd be 5 stars.

Perfect hostel with amazing atmosphere and amenities. Nicest hostel you can find and the location is perfect. A short walk to O'connel, temple bar or pretty much anywhere. I will stay here again one day.

Accommodations were sufficient. Everything I could ever expect out of a youth hostel.

Stayed in a 6 private room and we're all very happy! The room is very clean, we had enough space for 6 and the lockers under the beds are very useful for all our stuff! The breakfast is great for 3€ you have a lot of food that's cool to begin a long day of walk! Bathroom is great, big shower and very clean and towels are available for a 5€ deposit so it's a perfect conclusion! We really enjoyed staying in this hostel and if we come back to Dublin one day we will stay at the same place for sure.

Great hostel! Really well organized, I was happy with everything, starting from cleanliness, the fact that you can have a "aramagod" we say. There are soap dispensers both for the hands and in the shower… The kitchen until midnight is open, and then you can cook what you want, there is a refrigerator, and then you can get groceries, the girls are very friendly and I can not help but recommend! AH, most importantly, great location, central! Absolutely recommended!

Very cheap, the rooms although the beds a bit narrow, the breakfast is avarage but for€ 3 you can't ask for much. The best location without a doubt.

Great rooms, bathrooms, social area. They do some fun free stuff everyday like nachos, beers, sangria. Awesome location. Overall great place to stay in Dublin!

Economic hostess in the heart of Dublin on the banks of the river Liffey, with a breakfast included in the price, quite varied, very clean.

Excellent! Great breakfast! Loved all the special nights, every day it's a free something night! Loved the free ice cream and cookies night! Near to some of the best features in town! The staff os amazing and always helpfull! Great thanks.

Beautiful hostel with modern, youthful and comfortable furnishings. Central location within walking distance of Trinity College, Temple Bar and bus stop.
Common room very comfortable with sofas, blankets and games to spend the evenings in company, in the kitchen always open are always available tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits!
The breakfast that can be included in the price or paid separately is abundant and varied: besides milk and cereal toast there are also eggs, sliced cheese and fruit!
Every night the staff organizes themed evenings for all the guests.

Really nice place. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean and had everything you needed. Didn't use the kitchen.

I was a solo traveler staying in a hostel for the first time, but this place vastly exceeded all of my expectations of what staying in a hostel would be like. The service was great, the room was clean and the bathroom for my 6 person room was spotless. The room was a bit more costly and other hostels I researched (approx 60 Euro for a 6 bed room) but you do get what you pay for. Towels available for a refundable 5 Euro deposit. I landed in Dublin at 1100 but even though my check in time wasn't until 1400, I was still able to stop by and drop my pack off in a storage closet they have. They host a different event every night and the Friday night I was there was Sangria night. I used this as a time to sit in the common area and charge my phone. I wasn't expecting to meet too many people but I met about a dozen people or so who were all great and we all wound up going to a pub together. I as a 30 year old was expecting to be the oldest person there but the group was mostly young professionals like me staying on an extended holiday. May have been a coincidence or perhaps this hostel is more catered to the late 20's-30's crowd. I would absolutely stay here again when visiting Dublin and would recommend to anybody.

To be a comfortable hostel. Private bathroom. Clean place. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Convenient location. For a holiday without too many demands, it's more than good.

One of the better hostels that I have visited on my travels with a 24hour reception l, ensuites rooms and dedicated plugs for every bed it's an easy 5 minute walk from getting off the 700 airport bus.

The hostel itself was ok, but the staff was very inconsistent in allowing me to have my bike with me, even when it could be disassembled and put into a transit bag. This is NOT a bike-friendly hostel, and the best they could do is recommend a luggage storage service nearby.

Not enough beds, was awoken at 4am for hours while the staff didn't seem bothered to sort out there over booking, worst experience and place I have ever stayed in.

I had a really great stay at Sky Backpackers hostel. The staff is really nice and helpful all the time and they have information about a lot of great stuff to do in Dublin, cool daytrips included. Martynas (lovely staff member) suggested a few tours which I could try and I went for one of his top recommendations. It was a great recommendation. He also book me an appointment at the spa. I stayed in a 6 mix dorm and was surprised about the size, the room wasn't too small at all…. The bathrooms are cleaned daily. Please remember to bring a lock if you want to lock your things up. They offer different free things every evening like: burger night on Monday, wine & cheese on Tuesdays, nacho dip night on Wednesday, beer night on Thursday, sangria on Friday, free drinks on Saturday and cookies and I cream on Sunday. You can also get free towels, you have to pay €5 as a deposit, but you'll get that money back afterwards. The airport bus is the best bet to get there it is just €7 and a short walk no more than 5 minutes, well, it depends on your luggage and walking speed it could be 10 minutes. All and all it is fabulous, would recommend it to every and anyone. I look forward to my next trip here Thank you.

Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bunks, clean rooms, good breakfast, good Wi-Fi, laundry, central location, close to shops, restaurants and bars, well decorated, accepts young and old guests.

The hostel is not bad, it is in a great location, close enough to the main attractions of Dublin city centre.
The thing I appreciated the most was the cleanliness, both of the room and the bathroom, and the linens. The bathroom was quite new however one evening missed the hot water. For the rest the guys at the front desk have always been friendly and helpful. Recommended, if I return to Dublin I would stay here again.

We got a private room with 3 bunk beds. The beds were comfy and nice. The hostel was clean and the staff was nice. However, we looked out our window and we saw a man doing drugs. We told the front desk and they knew about him but still did nothing about it and said that it happened all the time. Also while we were there the hostel flooded making all of our clothes wet. Overall a good place to stay but may be unsafe in some circumstances.

This place is really cool, good vibe, and has an amazing location. The kitchen is huge and we'll equipped with professional looking appliances. The staff is also very nice and helpful and they have a lot of fun sounding activities during the week. Whoever, my two big complaints are 1 — no elevator really sucks when you are a backpacker or any kind of traveller with suitcases or a large rucksack, especially when stairs are narrow and steep. At least I was just on the first floor. And 2 — the bunk beds are so close together there isn't enough room to sit upright on the bottom bunk. This was realllllly uncomfortable and I kept knocking my head on the metal frame.

It was quite and the staff was super nice!

There a nightly specials ranging from wine and cheese, or free cocktails to free dinner each night at 7. The staff are very friendly, the décor is nice, and they are extremely accommodating. Free computers with Internet access as well as good Wi-Fi through our. Very clean, lots of seating/dinning space in common areas and only a couple minutes walk from anything you want to see in downtown Dublin. A great choice for groups or solo travellers in my opinion.

You get what you pay for. Overall a good place to stay. Nice kitchen facilities and common room. There are quite some junkies in the area but they were of no bother.

Good stop off for backpackers. Not the cheepest in dublin.
