I have been staying recently at the Abigails hostel in Dublin 2 and on Friday night just before midnight I was kicked out of the hostel and the money for 2 nights was refunded to me. This is not my first time staying at hostels but this was my first hostel stay in Dublin. I was unbelievably surprised by the rudeness of the staff and especially the reception team that instead of compromising with a resident like myself they IMMEDIATELY ended up screaming and yelling at me and calling me an enormous amount of names in front of over 20 guests that were in the cafeteria. If this is the way the hostel treats a citizen of Ireland then I don't know how they might be treating international tourists. This is completely unacceptable and vulgar behaviour by a part of a team that is responsible for greeting international tourists. I stayed at hostels in Germany France UK Spain Italy and this is the first and ONLY time that this has happened.
I am still baffled as there to be a reason for their rudeness and unbelievably insolent behaviour. Due to the current accommodation crisis going on in Ireland I the same way as countless other people have no other choice but to stay at hostel accommodation until we are able to find a place of our own. Due to this incredibly difficult and ridiculous situation that happened I was forced to quit my job and right now I have returned back home as a result of the ridiculously rude nature and the rampant inflation of the city of Dublin.

Such a great place to make our home base while we see the rest of this beautiful country. Easy walk to many sites in Dublin. Easy access to all types of transportation. Great, helpful staff. This is my 2nd stay, but not my last.
