Abigail's Hostel Hostel

The reception room and breakfasts are bright and the seats are comfortable. The 12-bed dormitory offers all the comforts of small light and individual socket. Space, brightness and located right next to Temple bar. Windows closed, street noise is ok so perfect.
But: no fruit for breakfast and above all, no real coffee. So not the pleasure of breakfast.
And most of all! sleep is a lottery: of course you expect to be embarrassed when you are 12 in a room, but drink and talk loudly for 3 hours and make fun of others who ask for calm, throw yourself on another bed and sleep and snore at all going or walk naked, turn on the great light in the eyes of others and make the doors squeak non-stop for the pleasure of noise, store whole crates of beers and speak loudly, very loudly. Ok the others in the breakfast room looked good, but it would take a respect in the rules, or else specify that the large dorms are at our peril.
(and again, I wasn't the one we took her bed to).
Morality: the extra services are good but the basic is to sleep and breakfast, which is not guaranteed.

Great location. Not ideal for solo travelers. Free breakfast is very good! Recommend the walking tour with Stephen. Right by the river and close to Temple Bar.

Great location. Great breakfast. Decent beds. Clean. Friendly staff. Good amenities. One down side is the noise. ALL night there were people shouting and running around the corridors. It was surprisingly very loud. Outside from 5-7 if you’re facing the back is again very very loud with the breakfast arriving on trolleys and rubbish pick up (I believe that’s what it sounded like). Bring ear plugs.

Clean, friendly and affordable. We got in very late and the front desk staff was incredibly helpful and very pleasant.

Accessibility/disability I got badly stuck in Dublin on Saturday night and a friend was able too put me up in this hostel for the night, when I told too them it was my first time in a hostel they were very nice and explained everything and were so kind, they said it was fine that I couldn't bring down the sheets and linens due too and helped me with heavy bags due too physical disability. The elevator is very accessible right beside the stairs. And the breakfast is so great, make sure you don't miss it! Made what could have been a horrible night into a relatively very comfortable experience. Tldr: If you have physical disability/use a walking aid, or have a invisible illness where you are not a wheelchair user at the time of staying here then it's really good and accessible I found! It's a decent, cheap place to stay. Nothing fancy, but nice. Great bathroom in the room rather than your normal tiny bathroom or, worse yet, shared bathroom down the hall. Great location in Temple Bar area close to a lot of pubs, restaurants, and live music.

The hostel is located nicely to access much of Dublin by foot. The rooms weren't too cramped even with 10 people in each. The ensuite bathrooms were also nice. The free breakfast was great, saving money if that interests you. It is cereal, toast, jam, yogurt, and juice. Coffee is also offered. The front desk is always staffed and willing to help. I was there during a heat wave and Ireland isn't quite used to those. The room was pretty warm as there is no AC. The window was kept open and as there are bus stops outside the smell of smoke and quite a bit of noise came in. That would be my one complaint.

Great location in the center of Dublin. I was able to walk to many of the attractions. It’s also on the major bus lines. The staff helped me get in the right bus. They were very helpful with towels, bar crawl, directions and other things too. The room was spacious. Bathrooms were ok. I would stay here again.

Great location, close to all activities. There are nearby buses, bars, nearby tourist information centres. I had a very good stay at this hotel/hostel and I recommend to all the people who travel with their backpacks if you want to be close to everything!

Cheap downtown down to earth hostel! Rooms cannot be booked in whole shamefully. Some random dude joined our group in the bedroom.

Great hostel in the center of Dublin. Highly recommended to visit the city. We went with an 8 month old baby, in a private room and everything was facilities.

They will give you new set of linens upon check in and you would have to apply it yourself on your bed (applicable for dorm rooms, idk with the others). Old toilet room, and a smell that doesn’t get away even after spraying air freshener. Towels are for rent for 1€.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Window leaves too much air. Were at St. Patricksday there. Super Central location But this is the only positive part.
Breakfast could be better and there is only one jam variety. Eggs cooked for too long or otherwise were not good.
Only one shower and toilet for 8 people. Old and not at all modern.
Too expensive for this offer. Clear was St. Patricksday but good 83 euros per night and person…

Great location right in the middle of Dublin. The accommodations are basic, but that's to be expected from a hostel. The price is pretty good for Dublin.

Very good hostel, well placed near the city center, … The rooms are however average but the price is affordable for the quality.

I had an overall great stay. Ciarán was so helpful and nice. Lots of friendly travellers as well. I will definitely be back.

What encotre by chance but I liked it because it has room only for women, apart from the treatment is impeccable, when I was I included also the breakfast thing that is appreciated. What is good is that you can access 24 hours a day.

A good place to stay in Dublin. Breakfast is included in the accommodation and has a kitchen available to guests to prepare food or potajes.
Very well located near food and more places and downtown and with access to many urban and long-haul routes.

Great central location nr O Connell St, Temple Bar. Shops, laundrette, take aways, pubs almost next door. Good breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Good value for money.

Great value. Basic, clean and safe. Helpful, knowable staff. Would recommend to travelers of all ages.

It's a building site. Mould in room. Stains on bed. Bathroom less that adequate. Staff friendly but a little confused on occasion. Lights tripped in bedroom. When we complained about the mould they just painted over it.

Perfect location for a hostel! We really enjoyed our stay there. Everything​ was clean and breakfast were more than enough although we didn't have any cheese or ham, only jam, eggs and cereals — but plenty of it. Lobby/dining room was very nice, spacious and always some empty electricity plugs for our phones. Very nice atmosphere there + hostel works with one agancy they do free walking tours and amazing pub crawl for 12€. Really great place to stay.

Clean, comfortable and silent place. Each bed has it's own facilities (light, plugs, USB). Staff is very kind and friendly. Cons: It's very expensive. Breakfast is limited. Hot water don't work properly.

Formal feel. The kitchen is off limits during breakfast, no option to cook for yourself. Rooms pretty standard for a cheap place. Vending machines for snacks / essentials This isn't really a place you can relax in evenings and feels like a cheap hotel (which it is) Ensuite not as good as it sounds, anyone needing the toilet at night is liable to make a lot of noise.

Hostel very well maintained and spacious. Very nice employees. Good service of cleaning. Bed with light and plug. Good showers. Great breakfast and unbeatable location.

Well this place says it's budget. But not so much. Pretty pricey for what you actually get. You have to make your own bed (usually that saves €7-ish but not here) and the shower closet is smaller than a shoe box. Location is great though.

Value for the money. Rooms are clean and each bed has a charger headboard in it. Breakfast is served (toast, yogurt and cereal) along with juice. In the Temple Bar district so the location is awesome. Right by the bridge as well.

Perfect and very close to the centre of Dublin. Services a little meh, but overall usable (the bathtub in the bathrooms disguised as a shower you can't see, come on).

The establishment itself is comfortable (beds, bathroom, common room with kitchen available).
On the other hand the people met are less and do not respect the rules of common life… (Noise with music all night, lifted 6h in the morning by opening the wrinkles and leaving the light on…)

I had a great experience here. This was my first time in Dublin. I stayed in a female only 6 bed room. The ladies were awesome and we all hung out the whole time. The staff was super helpful and nice. The room was clean. The beds had charging ports and a ledge that was convenient. Simple breakfast, main essentials covered. Great location. I will definitely go back! Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed Abigail's hostel. We stayed there twice while traveling (the first was my first hostel experience. ) There is good energy, and they have baskets and a luggage room. There is a lot happening just a few blocks away.

I stayed in many hostels in Dublin over the last year's but Abigails is my favourite. The location is great, the beds are comfortable, having so many charger options on top of every bed is brilliant… The staff is very nice and they lead me to good venues more than once. The common area is a wonderful place to meet new people and it's very easy to do so. On top of everything: If you get into room 39 and take the bottom bed on the window you have a wonderful view on the, what seems to be, hot spot corner for heroin addicts. We watched them for hours and hours which brought our room closer together and also gave a lot of opportunities to teach some young crazy Australians, who lived in the dorm, about the value of a healthy life.

Well located hostel in Temple Bar. Rooms are small and there is not much space left for luggage — they do have place under the beds (for which you need to have a lock). The beds are OK. The toilets are in the rooms, and are in need of an update. Very friendly staff. Simple and OK breakfast. They have a luggage room and safe deposit lockers.

Great location. Suitable for kids.

People there is mega friendly and helpful. Place is near public transport. People at airport know this place. Cozy spaces but very complete installations. Bathrooms are well sized and very clean. Price is great and attention is awesome. It is right in front of Liffey River!

This hostel was very nice. Each bed had a locker underneath (all you have to do is bring a lock) and the staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was one of the best I've had at a hostel. Would definitely go there again.

Very very well placed inn on Temple Bar. Several pubs right next door and several supermarkets. Only one downside: very noisy at night…

I stayed there with 4 friends and had a private room with toilet and shower. I have to admit I've never stayed in a hostel and was pretty nervous not knowing what to expect. But I have to say I was very impressed. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. In the morning we couldn' fault it. There was everything you could want. Toast, tea and coffee and much more. Well worth the price and I would definatley stay there again the staff were very friendly too and great location!

Very clean and welcoming, but also very noisy so difficult to sleep.

If you are looking for cheap accommodation, this is the one for you… But when I was in order they did not work: Wi-Fi, the air extraction system of the bathrooms, the electrical system of the room, the water supply. But they got slammed to make it all right. Plus: The staff cleans the dishes of your breakfast in the morning! All in all I recommend it, but in a low voice;)

They tell me all that is one of the best, so I do not know how they are put others anyway apart from the super exploited rooms I found it clean and well organized, well also breakfast.

Good, cheap, clean. Breakfast is very basic, but tired. Last winter was very cold, probably is not heated.

This hostel is a convenient bus ride from and to the airport. Located right next to Temple Bar District, the night life around Abigail's is always exciting. The common area and the rooms are clean. And the staff are friendly and helpful. Don't miss the breakfast!

This hostel was great! Super clean, and we felt very safe being right in Temple bar, Dublin. It was also one of the few hostels I found it the area that had female only rooms, which my friend and I prefer when traveling with no male companions. The free breakfast was really convenient, it was simple cereal, toast, hard boiled eggs, fruit and yogurt, and juice and coffee/tea; more than I was expecting! The only qualm I had was that the internet was very spotty in the dorm rooms, but worked just fine in the lobby, which has tons of seating! There was also only one toilet/shower combo for ten beds in our room, which caused quite a back up right before bed and in the morning. The staff was great! So nice and helpful. I 100% reccomend this hostel.

It was a really good experience. It was near everything, clean and with amazing people, the only problem was the Wi-Fi, although I was in the first floor, the connection was only good at the lobby.

If it wasn't for the exceptional staff at this hostel, I'd probably give it a 4 rating. In terms of location, the hostel is in a GREAT spot right by the Temple Bar District and near a lot of bus different bus stops. I stayed in a room of 10 girls, and after a weird interaction with one of the girls in my room the staff was extremely helpful and moved me and my friend into a new, better room without any hesitation. The staff is happy to help you with any questions, tour bookings, and transportation to the airport and there is someone there 24/7. Though the complimentary breakfast is pretty simple, it gets the job done and saves you €6 elsewhere. Don't expect too much from the rooms, but it's clean and probably one of the better hostels in Dublin. Long story short — I recommend this place!

Nice hostel, clean and in an amazing location, walking distance from everywhere! Breakfast hasn't a lot of choice but is all you can eat and all included. En-suite rooms. The common area is not so big and accessorised with entertainment facilities but sofas and TV are available. Storage locker is only upon payment, in the rooms there's nothing to secure your belonging.

Average. The hostel is in an ideal location in the center of Dublin, close to the nightlife area. It offers a good breakfast in the room rate. To improve the cleanliness of the room, especially the bathroom.

Good well located hostel. Somewhat expensive. The beds have their own plug Chargers USB and reading light.
