Got a table outside & upon being seated I was told that they don't have any parasols so if it rains it's a "grab & dash situation". Ordered a pizza for €17. The waitress came back about 5 minutes later and informed me that there's a minimum spend of €20 due to covid-19 so I had to order more. The order then came out wrong. The staff were unprofessional and to top it off they also charge a 10% service charge too! Absolute joke!

Very reasonably priced hotel. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Bedroom very nice with great views. The room has everything — pod coffee maker, complimentary bottled water, fridge and a great shower. Restaurant serves really good food, so can definitely recommend this hotel. Dart station 2 mins walk away. Great location.

Lovely relaxed hotel overlooking the the port — reception and bar staff were very helpful and friendly — rooms a little outdated but the overall service and tranquility of the hotel made it not matter! I will be back for sure!

What a place the rooms are lovely, and the staff are very welcoming, just waiting to what the breakfast will be like in the morning, but so far so good.

Great bar, amazing garden view!

We held a family event in The Library bar recently and it was fabulous. The food was first class, the room itself is stunning and the service was excellent. Adrian is so helpful and professional and clearly takes pride in ensuring every detail is covered. I Look forward to going back again soon.

Had a wonderful 5 day stay at Haddington House. The hotel is nicely appointed, the staff friendly and if you get a front room, the best view over Dun Laoghaire Harbour. Highly recommend you eat in the restaurant as the food was fantastic.

Not very good. Not wheelchair friendly. We had to go in a back door down alley way. Not signposted. Over a plank of wood and a big puddle of water. Couldn't find wheelchair toilet. Would have liked to sit in sun outside but not accessible. Also staff not very friendly or helpful. Not a hotel if recommend.

Good price, great location. The amenities weren't the best but I still enjoyed the place.

Some of the rooms are a bit tired but the views are incredible and location is very handy. The restaurant is excellent and the outdoor garden is great for a few drinks if the weather's good.

What a lovely setting on a sunny day overlooking the harbour. Our barman, Cormac, was very friendly and informative. Great experience.

Went today for some food at about 12.10 myself my wife and 2 children we looked at the menu and decided it look really nice so we went to the seating area outside we where about to sit down what I presume was the manager said sorry but we don't serve alcohol till 12.30 my wife said we wanted some food no alcohol and he replied in a very rude manner we don't serve food till then so that's it and walked away. Safe to say we will not be going back if that's how they treat customers it won't last long.

Avoid at all costs, 5 stars for the location and terrace but I'm afraid this is not the south of france. To turn away perfectly dressed and presented clientele because your full on one of the few nice days Ireland gets is just pretentious bullshit of the highest. The lovely hostess said we have a cue to get in. Lets see you on a wet dull cold day in july. Lost customer all year round.

Nice hotel with great view. The terrace is one of the nicest spot in Dun Laoghaire and maybe Dublin. Good Pizza at the restaurant Oliveto there.

Poor customer service. We ordered take away pizza on the phone to eat in the beer garden. It started to rain as we collected the food. We brought our drinks/food inside the lounge until the rain passed. The duty manager Maria showed no sympathy for the situation, shecame over and said we couldn't eat the food inside. Her suggestion was to finish our drinks and stop eating the pizza. We'd spent 80 euro in this hotel to be treated like non paying customers.

This is an unusual spot. It's a hotel but it's bar/restaurant does a roaring business to a very diverse crowd of all ages. We regularly go there to sit outside and have a drink as we bring our dogs with us. Staff are great — fast and friendly — and the have a good selection of beers.

I just had the absolute pleasure of staying at this gorgeous boutique hotel during a snow storm and wouldn't have wished to be anywhere else. Aside from the obvious positives — super comfy beds in chic and warm stylish rooms; great bathrooms with delightful toiletries and a delicious Nespresso maker at hand — the people at Haddington House made this stay beyond happy at each and every time of the day. The restaurant staff were super friendly; helpful and genuinely kind — good people with warm hearts for sure; to Maria you are a delight and do say hi if ever in Cape Town! To the beautiful blonde hostess thank you for your cheerful and caring manner — to the bar staff thanks for keeping me entertained while trapped in your hotel — the Croatian barman made a mean whisky sours and tolerated me night after night. Stay warm and happy and a huge thank you — I do hope to see you all again.

Beautiful view from the restaurant and has a nice view of the beautiful sea. Also has a open sitting best on a sunny day with great food.

Expensive overnight in the small room, at night it was noisy from the lower restaurant and the Wi-Fi is constantly lubricated. The 3 stars are available for the location, the modern bathroom and the bed (large double bed with normal cover). Breakfast totally overpriced and when you get from 9 it also gets cold. Our €12 breakfast for the road you get when you check out early, consisted of some water, a yogurt without spoon, 1 apple and a unloving sandwich. You get better at the airport!

Great food and service. Better to go here in the summer months for outdoor eating. Views of harbour are great on a summers day.

Brilliant for an overnight and the view over the bay is excellent. The train going past every ten minutes from 6am wasn't great though.

Good hotel, with sea view, comfortable rooms although relatively standard — not all with sea view — (hot and cold water faucets are another time). Reception and service Correct. Free Parking and Wi-Fi.

Very cozy 19th century hotel positioned right on the water and within 5 minutes walk of the train station. Rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds, Wi-Fi and a spacious bathroom. The in-house restaurant is excellent with delicious food, very friendly wait staff and a dark wood decor. Hotel staff excels in hospitality. Ask for Maria, the day manager, to get excellent recommendations on sites in Dublin.

Rooms are small, WLAN overloaded and the most expensive (12, €50) breakfast, which was worst, all with self service also the drinks, and only lukewarm. The choice in the other hotels and B&B in which we were was better. Not again for the Price.

My husband and I stayed here last night. Really enjoyed our stay. The room we had was totally retro, love the refurbished version. Lots of lovely nibblies and teas and coffee in the room with prob one of the best views in Co. Dublin. Staff were great. Dinner was great, breakfast was amazing. Def recommend. We'll go back. Thank you Sinead receptionist for upgrade. Couldn't ask for more.

Oliveto Restaurant at The Haddington Hotel is excellent! They have the bar outside where you can enjoy a nice drink and the beautiful view. The restaurant is very popular, so better if you manage to do some reservations in advance. The food is delicious, the pork belly is highly recommended. Also, the desserts are indulgent, well balanced and super tasty.

I attended my Father in Law's 80th Birthday here two weeks ago and have been meaning to put up this review. I can't fault this place one bit and it surpassed any expectations we had. The rooms were very reasonable and clean and spacious, the Private Function room was set up beautifully and with the added back drop of Dunlaoghaire Pier it was just beautiful… even more so in the evening. Now the Food and I love my food… one word AMAZING… honestly was blown away by the quality, taste and presentation of it. The Staff every single one of them from the Bar to the ones looking after us on the night could'nt do enough for us. The Breakfast was beautiful and as you're overlooking the Pier it was very scenic… it even gave those of us who over indulged the night before inspiration the walk the pier and blow away the cobwebs… which is exactly what it did. This was then followed by a stroll around the market in the People's Park and then back to Oliveto's for some lunch (I highly recommend the Oliveto pizza and Chips… nicest I've ever had) I know I have gone on a bit but had to highlight every last detail of my one night away which felt like a few days away. I'm already planning a return with a group of girls just because. Well done Guys and Gals whatever you're doing it works… See you soon Andrea xx.

Renovation Necessary and Underway. Has Potential.

Lovely garden out the front with beautiful views. Perfect spot if the weather is good. You can grab drinks at the bar there and they do gorgeous stone backed pizzas, well worth a try. Looks to be a very well run establishment, I'll be back.

Great food, great drinks, and arguably the best view and beer garden in Ireland. Looking out over the pier with Howth Head rising up in the distance… it is second to none.

Went for dinner here, we had the fritto misto and pate for starters… beautiful. Pizza and a venison pasta dish for mains… fabulous. Desserts… amazing. All washed down with ginger mojitos and wine.

Dirty, loud, and very bad Breakfast.
