We had a lovely stay over @ King Sitric. Nice people taking good care of us. Situated right at the seashore it has a unique selling point. You can sea the fishermen catching your food!

The waiters are amazing. Made us feel appreciated and when I started coughing, (Ive had a cold since we got here two weeks ago) one of the waiters asked if he could make me a honey and lemon to take to my room. What great service! Just the gesture made me feel better, but the drink helped too! I heartily recommend here.

We had the seafood platter and it was spot on can’t recommend this place enough and a wonderful relaxing atmosphere.

I was the winner of a one nights stay plus dinner at the King Sitric in Howth We availed of our prize on Saturday night & had the most wonderful time, the food was simply amazing, staff so friendly & welcoming and the view from our room was breathtaking, So just a massive thank you to The Taste. Ie and off course everyone at the King Sitric we will be back for sure.

Literally unbelievable seafood platter. The mustard herring was incredible, the dressed crab was out or this world and I can't find words for the crab claws. If you move stuff from the sea to the pan the plate it tends to rock pretty hard! Chuck in a delicious Grunër Veltliner and great service and you got yourself five stars! Kudos guys. Xx.

The staff are lovely, but the place feels a bit drab. Has the air of a dated hotel restaurant. Food was good, so I think with a couple of tweaks this could a great spot!

The best part of our stay, and there were many, at the King Sitric Restaurant and Accommodation, was breakfast. I found my daily ritual of smoked haddock and poached eggs simply divine. The views outside our sea-facing room were postcard perfect and the sound of the waves lulled us to sleep nightly. Dinner in the restaurant, prepped by award-winning chef Aidan Mac Manus and staff, was superb. And, our fave watering hole was right downstairs in the lively East Cafe Bar. Warm and friendly, I tip my hat to hostess Joan and Chef Aidan. If you come to Howth, stay and dine at the King Sitric; you’ll feel like royalty. Tom Weber, Ostuni, Italy.

Three nights in 'Fastnet', one of the spacious rooms on the top floor of the King Sitric, was a delight. The room was spotlessly clean with a stunning view of Ireland's Eye. But the most fantastic part of our stay was the breakfast. Melt in the mouth haddock and salmon, smoked in their very own smokery, free range eggs, delicious wholemeal bread, homemade jams… we feasted like royalty! We'll be back.

In the middle of Howth city centre, a good sea food restaurant with at affordable prices. Convenient when you visit Howth.

Not the best seafood in Howth unless you're on the mood for deep fried stuff. Very standard pub food but if you'tw into that is nice. The pub itself is very nice and clean and a great view. If you're in the mood for proper seafood however, you're better off at any joint on the peer.

Group of 4 of us are here today. We were recommended a few seafood dishes by our waitress that were absolutely amazing. If you get the chance to make it out to Howth, definitely stop in here for lunch/dinner. Their seafood is hands down the best we’ve had on our trip and the views are amazing as well. We’ll definitely be back!

Nice and cozy place. Great food quality especially if you order the fish. This area is renowned for the various proposals of lobster dishes. Excellent oysters served in the glass. Excellent both the fish pie and the soup. I will definitely come back.

It wasn't one of the best experiences. We booked with a very large advance and when we finally started our tour in Ireland making a stop at the King Sitric, we were told that they did not find the reservation. An absurd. After hours of car not even a place to rest. This mix-up later, however, cost us a lost morning and the impossibility of recovering from tiredness. Moreover, the doubt that the room that we were assigned was a fallback, on the ground floor and on the road, remains. "I recommend you close the Windows. " The room was not very spacious. Sufficiently nice, equipped with adaptor for current useful thing mollto. Nice bathroom with a ' space ' shower. Breakfast was very good with wide choice of food. Excellent fruit in syrup made by the chef. Definitely worth to get up early to enjoy the sunrise, first on the sea and then see the sun rise at breakfast.

I had the Calamari and house fries both were delicious!

This place exudes warmth from the moment you walk into the bar with its log fires and we had a lovely waiter Zack look after us. Once we checked into our rooms with a view we had the most wonderful meal where Brian looked after us royally and the food was out of this world, me personally would recommend the Scallops for starters and the Lobster Thermidor. Our stay was capped off with the warm and friendly service at breakfast by Joan. I thank you for looking after my Mam and sisters so well, we will be back. Christine, Liz, Olive, Charly & Lady Pat.

The food was great, the host was great, and our room was very nice. This was a very nice place to stay and the views and activities in the area of Howth are great. The parking can be a bit of a pain and it is a very active area. We would certainly stay here again.

I've been to Ireland 3 times for a total of about 4 months, and this is one of the finest hotels I've stayed at. I couldn't be more impressed. The location is amazing, quiet with a great view, the food is excellent, and the people who run it are wonderful. I strongly recommend King Sitric.

Very nice boat trip and beautiful views of the Dublin bay.

We went there, behause the reviews were good. Unfortunately, we did not like it that much. The wheater was absolutely great, but because of that it was very busy. Everytime we wanted to order food or drinks, we had to walk into the restaurant and ask for it. We had the plate for two, and we expected a bit more for that money.

Fantastic little hotel and resturant. The food is amazing, the rooms are clean and well thought out, trendy bathrooms and we had a great sea view. Looking forward to going back again soon.

The restaurant upstairs is excellent. There is also an informal bar which does food downstairs and some of the negative reviews here such as soggy chips, seafood platter etc, seem to be irrelevant to the restaurant where there is not a chip to be seen. Three of us ate very well at the restaurant, three courses, various extras, decent Sancerre, coffee etc plus tip €200 which seemed good.

Excellent seafood and friendly service, although we waited a long time for the dessert, which was underwhelming. That said, the chowder was fantastic. Pretty cool view on the terrace, and good craft beers from Donegal.

I'm not much of a seafood lover but the goats cheese salad is just amazing here.

Do not order the seafood platter! Absolutely disgusting! Everything was cold. The prawns were wet and soggy. Fish not cooked properly and inedible. Have no idea why this place has any good reviews! Hated it.

Try crabclaws. They are addictive!

I stranded here at a stormy, rainy and very uncomfortable weather. The restaurant was crowded with people and the overall impression was somehow cozy and nicely decorated. I was very hungry and ordered a smoked salmon for lunch — it could have been almost early dinner, also. The service was very nice but what I finally got were two pieces of bread, two small pieces of packaged kerrygold butter, an eigth of a lemon and a few slices of smoked fish which I could lay myself on the bread at least… At least the fish tasted as desired if ou want so, and the bread seemed to be home-made. But it still felt like a breakfast for me and not like a main course, unfortunately. The lofty price of 14€ let me expect much more than this and raises the expectation of molten butter on a juicy salmon… disappointing.

We ended up in the downstairs sister restaurant East because the King upstairs was closed Sunday night. Smaller variety, but excellent quality and great friendly Irish service. The mussels were wonderful and the haddock was light and crisp. Cheers!

Best fish in Howth. A little bit expencive compare to other restaurants but it is worth it. Fresh fish.

Quite poor options if you're a vegetarian. Other friends who were with us that eat meat/fish seemed to enjoy the food though.

Always was and always will be the best fish in Howth; now with draught beer and stout. Well worth a visit either casually to the seafood bar or formally to the exceptional restaurant. Single ownership for over 40 years, a reputation in hospitality well deserved.

Food was great and the fireplace was really cosy. The fish and chips were cooked to perfection and the salmon was amazing.

Great night very impressive rooms very comfortable with real attention to details. The breakfast was superlative. Absolute perfection fresh and vibrant food. So hard to find a freshly cooked breakfast. And Joan was absolutely lovely. She could give masterclasses. Charming, informative, attentive, interesting. The King Sitric is a pure gem and a place we will revisit. Not to mention the amazing view from the room. Hard to beat. Could not recommend more.

Your hotet is si good. We h ave enioyed very very much.
