Great venue as a photographer I always enjoy the shoot there would highly recommend.

Attended Paul and Deirdre's wedding on Friday afternoon And had a brilliant time. Good food and great staff including Mrs Brennan (sorry can't remember first name) who admits herself she has the gift of the gab. Highly recommended.

Love this hotel. We had our wedding there last July and the experience from start to finish was amazing. The staff are fantastic and so helpful and the food is just gorgeous. Would highly recommend you visit this fantastic hotel.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch there … good service and friendly atmosphere.

Enjoyed a weekend break and will definitely return to this hotel. Can't praise the staff enough, from check-in Friday through bar food and drinks that evening, breakfast Saturday with family joining us, an extremely busy Saturday night dinner service through to a relaxing Sunday breakfast and check out… good staff numbers throughout but more importantly each and every member of staff we encountered was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The food at every meal was delicious and well presented. Our room was very spacious with a double and single bed, fabulously comfy chair for reading at the window looking out over the river. Bathroom was well appointed and very spacious with plenty of fluffy towels. As Arnie said "I'll be back". Well done.

Had dinner there today it was fantastic. Service was excellent. Well worth a visit.

We only had lunch there but I wouldn’t say it was anything special. Portions very small too.

Staff and hotel very good. Debora that looked after us was amazing a very good, experienced, friendly waiter. Top class. She seem to be looking after everyone and under pressure still full of bubble that is what we need when we go out.

Myself and my partner attended my nephews wedding on 23rd of February just gone we stayed over the meal was Seccond to none and staff so helpful especially Mick on reception and their breakfast was top job would have no bother doin it all again.

Beautiful Hotel, staff friendly, great atmosphere, old and new surroundings,, a chant old bar with coal fires, and the most amazing food, with a great menue.

Had our wedding here and I couldn't recommend the hotel enough. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Food was amazing and very generous portion size. Room decor was way beyond what I could have imagined. Thanks to sue for helping us plan it all out over the last few months.

We were extremely happy with our wedding day in the lord bagenal hotel. The level of service was exceptional from the first evening we went down to the wedding fair we just fell in love with this picturesque venue. Sue the wedding coordinator couldn't have been more helpful and all the staff were exemplary dressed and very courteous. You won't beat this venue it is a hidden gem sitting on the river barrow.

The food was delicious ad was only surpassed by our waitress Helen who is a huge asset to this establishment. Friendly and helpful. The only drawback is the extremely poor lighting… it does nothing to enhance the pleasant decor.
I'll advised by your interior design team. A pity because it was a real cause of annoyance in an otherwise pleasant and enjoyable meal.

Always a lovely dining experience in the lord Bagenal inn if not for a wedding a night out a drinks staff always friendly and it is such a cosy and warm venue.

Was visiting my aunt and cousins what can I say just beautiful staff food and the owner even had time for us as he was working as hard as his staff he chatted on to us talked about his beutiful photos and he knew my cousin michael myrne. We would like to thank The Lord Bagenal so much for having us on the 28th of September for our wedding, myself and Sinead were absolutely blown away by there hospitality, from start to finish everything was 100%, the Staff were all so friendly and very helpful in every way, the food was absolutely amazing not just for us but for our 197 guest's, everyone said it was absolutely beautiful, A big thank you to Sue Baldwin who went above and beyond for us, Sue you really were truly amazing to us and we will be forever grateful, thanks so much again Sue, Thanks so much to Niall who looked after us so well on Saturday you really did go out of your way for usthank you and Thanks once again to everyone at the Lord Bagenal.

Great staff, food was amazing. Tonight at 9:00 pm a man approached the bar to pay his bill. He was so rude to the staff. His demeanor was aggressive and totally uncalled for. He was blatantly loud and making a scene so other customers could hear him oblivious to our time. The waitress and Jordan the Barman handled the situation with class and dignity. Both were very professional and an asset to your business. Shame on the bully from Carlow since he made a point stating where he was from! Anyway we still enjoyed our time.

We had a beautiful meal there today to celebrate our Anniversary with family. We had Carvary and it was fabulous. The staff were friendly and could not do enough for us. We were served desserts by a lovely girl called Erin. She was exceptional.

Our family stayed in the hotel for one night 2 weeks ago. Was really good service, good staff and tasty breakfast. We have really enjoyed lovely atmosphere and it was really good memories for me and my husband, as we lived in Leighlinbridge 12 years ago. A special Thank you to Paddy, he made our day very enjoyable.

We have just spent a wonderful weekend at the Lord Bagenal for our friends wedding, our stay was fabulous from beginning to end, We cannot recommend it enough! staff are amazing, food delicious and service was second to none, We cannot actually think of anything that wasn’t flawless! a special mention to a lovely lady Karen who worked in housekeeping and in the restaurant to which nothing was too much trouble along with a very cheery chap at reception (Mike I think) what a wonderful person to have at your reception welcoming your guests!
Only complaint was that the beds were far too comfortable!

What a faboulas hotel, stayed for a wedding and the food and atmosphere was amazing. Rooms are deadly too.

Went to a wedding on 20th of December 2018 lovely hotel very pleasant happy staff on arrival only thing disappointing was the main meal the ham dinner was not nice wafer thin slices more like packet meat very grizzly but starters, dessert very nice plus the evening buffet was more nicer than the main dinner music fantastic overall lovely atmosphere music fantastic overall lovely apart from the main ham dinner give it 3

Amazing staff, beautiful rooms and great food. We had our wedding here and everything went so smoothly from start to finish. Couldn't recommended it enough.

We had our wedding here 3weeks ago. Wow what can we say absolutely amazing. The food was fab hotel perfect staff what can I say about them god if every hotel had their staff they be doing well. The staff couldn't do enough for us from start to finish anything we wanted they got. Super hotel thank you so much to all involved and especially to sue and niall who we had alot of dealings with. Thank you to the management and staff again.

Lord Bagenal, arrived for a wedding, stunning reception area, bar area is small & the parking area could do with a clean up. Checked into our room & wow is all I can say, room 116 is absolutely stunning (small issue with waste bin not been emptied & only 1 teabag available dealt with immediately) food served at the wedding was amazing. Speaking to locals, the Lord Bagenal is known locally for great food. I will return.

Really lovely hotel. We were told that the rooms we had to stay was in the old part as there was a wedding happening on the same night that we stayed so I was a bit worried of what "old part" meant. The room was superb! I couldn't have asked for any more. Loved it!

Wow what can I say! We got married on Friday and the entire Team in the Lord Bagnol Inn were amazing! I can't recommend this place enough, the food was fab the staff are fantastic and we couldn't have had a better day. Thank you so so much from the bottom of my heart for a wonderful day xxx.

The food was really great, and the atmosphere made it all the better. I would recommend this place for events.

"The Bagnal" as it is affectionately know, is located in the picturesque village of Leaghlinbridge (pronounced Loughlin Bridge) on the bank of the river Barrow and does a fine job of tastefully blending modernity with a comfortable old world charm which I suspect expresses the proprietors tastes. The place has evolved and grown gradually over the years whilst staying true to it self. The walls are adorned in interesting artworks and the interiors, despite being decidly modern, avoid any harshness. I've been going here on and off for the last 20 years and have been consistently pleased. The food is good and they have a fab wine list. They do a solid local food trade as well as catering for larger events such as weddings and birthdays. The rooms are nice and the staff always helpful and there is ample parking for cars… and boats!

Just had lunch there. It was quite good. I stayed there a few years ago and it was a very nice hotel.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, reasonable dinner. Nice bar, live music. Rooms large but building design not great, as up and down stairs to get to many of the rooms.

Attended a family wedding here, fabulous wedding food & we were offered more of everything! Foyer is gorgeous, it gives a great first impression. The rooms are lovely too, very bright, spacious & gorgeous bathroom too! Breakfast was fabulous.

So disappointed in our meal tonight. Poor vegetarian options. French Onion Soup greasy, cold and unappealing. Not impressed at all and not the Lord Bagnal of old. Requested two starters to be put on one plate as one vegetarian main course — manager said not possible, so food served on two separate plates — bit non nonsensical. Did the usual Irish thing of eating and not complaining but feel that this dining experience actually warrants a comment. Very bad value for money — one of the most expensive and most disappointing meals we have had in a long time. Most of the serving staff were fine, but all in all won't be going back in a hurry.

Always accommodating and friendly staff have no problem looking after your needs. The sheer feel will make your stay special. The bar has a wonderful quaint atmosphere and the foot is excellent.

Went to wedding there. I've no idea about the rooms as I stayed in another hotel. Food was excellent.

We had our reception here last Thursday 29th December and I have to say it could not have went off any better. We were treated like royalty from the very first time we visited to discuss the wedding. James was a gentleman who went out of his way for us on several occasions and further down the line Sue absolutely spoiled us as well. We were greeted with champagne and that was gorgeous and got the ball rolling. The table staff were so friendly and helpful as were the bar staff…. The food was absolutely gorgeous and everyone complimented it. The beef would melt in your mouth and from what I hear about the salmon it matched the beef. There was loads to go around and seconds were offered at every single table. I applaud the kitchen staff for their great work and presentation. We would very very highly recommend the Lord Bagenal for your occasion whatever it may be and if it was possible to give more stars in the rating we definitely would. Don't think about it, just book it and you will be delighted you done so. I hope Sue and James and as many of the staff as possible get to read this because we really can't thank you enough. Best seafood chowder we've ever had!

A modern, spacious & spotlessly clean hotel which somehow retains a friendly 'family run' atmosphere and attention to detail.

Nice choice of food and a very cosy atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this place for a bite to eat if you're in the area and are looking for somewhere to stop. It has a nice view of the River Barrow.

I get the dinner there about 2/3 times a week. Cant say a word against it. Very tasty. Best food around. Reasonable price to. Matt.

We had our wedding reception at the Lord Bangenal, and all I can say is that it was absolutely perfect. From organisation to food, service and accommodation, we found the staff, facilities and location amazing. The hotel itself is set right on the river, with a huge decked balcony overlooking the tiny marina and old stone bridge. So picturesque. The hotel is very modern, a very grand marble lobby area and huge chandeliers perfectly suited our champagne and canapés. The original old pub and restaurant is joined directly to the hotel, giving it a real traditional feel too, and easy escape for a quick drink. There is also an indoor padded jungle gym/play area for kids. With our wedding running over the full weekend, everyone was always entertained, its a great little village, good local pubs, beautiful walking tracks along the river, even though the kids spent all their time in the Lord Bagenals play area. While planning the day, we had considered other venues, but all were remote estates, away from everything. The last thing we wanted was late night transport issues or our guests to feel isolated or trapped with nothing really to do. The Lord Bagenal is family run, both James and Paddy were really accommodating and flexible with all our requirements. We had around 150 people and the service was flawless. The food came very efficiently, the mains were piping hot and the portions were enough to fill our hungriest guests (and waiters came around tables with seconds).
