4* Star Hotels in Carlow

Excellent service and food staff very helpful and friendly. Only thing let it down never made the bed during visit. But we were in and out of it a lot and slept at odd times. And it never spoilt our enjoyment fresh towels were left outside along with tea and coffe.

In the last 2 years a lot of our family events have been held here. We are always made feel welcome and most of the staff are very nice. We have spent a lot of money there over the bar… it would be nice if some of the bar staff remember this when asking for a morning drink to cure a hangover. I little manners goes a long way.

We had our wedding here & everything was top notch, the ceremony was beautiful, reception was flawless and staff were amazing really made us feel at home from the day we enquired and the wedding day was amazing food staff and package prices were outstanding.

We stayed at talbot carlow for 2 night from start to finish service was at a high standard the dome was ideal for the girls the reception ladies where very helpful danielle and michelle the pool was fab the lad at the desk was really helpful with my partner only down fall was the breakfast when arrived at breakfast there was no staff at front of desk as we waited to be seated the continental breakfast was very limited as when the area was low there was nothing filled up and very limited overall

My daughter and I stayed in Avlon House B&B whilst attending the Horse Sport Ireland EI National Championships just outside Ballon. This accommodation is first class. Great rooms, absolutely gorgeous breakfast and the host was also friendly and inviting. Would highly recommend this accommodation and I would definitely use it again if in the area.

Both the rooms and the B&B itself are absolutely lovingly furnished. The garden is also wonderfully designed and maintained. The staff is always helpful and has some tips that you can not find on the net, all of which are worth a visit.
The breakfast is absolutely rich and very tasty. There are several choices for a traditional cooked breakfast, which we can all recommend.
For us, returning to Avlon after a day tour was not like "only" coming to the B&B, it was like coming home.
