Small rooms. Very basic and not like the photos on the site which would give the impression of much more space.

Very happy, small but comfortable. Well worth the price.

Staff was not very helpful, false advertising for the size of rooms. Very small bed room if someone was standing the other had to sit in the bed. Very costly, and nothing added to the rooms. No kettle, or water. Had to ask for a hair dryer which shot sparks. When I said to the owner I wasn't very happy with the room I was told to take or leave it.

Really nice little place. Simple and efficient little room perfect for a great night's sleep very comfortable bed too!

Stayed here last night with my girlfriend Room was way over priced. They changed us to a different room then which had no towels, remote didn't work the tv, Wi-Fi didn't work, broken tiles with sharp edges outside the bath on the floor and I also cut my arm on a piece of a broken pipe while having a shower. Asked to speak to the manager last night and was informed they weren't there. Went to Speak to someone this morning at check out and there was no staff to be found. Would personally never dream of staying here again.

Absolutely don't stay here. The room is so small with a tiny bathroom. Poorly decorated with a lot of wear and tear. The double bed was very small but comfy to be fair. Check in isn't till 4 o'clock but yet check out is at 11. I don't know what takes them 5 hours to turn around a room the size of a child's bedroom. There is no reception at the hotel so there wasn't even an option to voice complaints with the hotel. The fire alarm also went off at 3am on the first night and we were not even given an apology. The hotel was seriously over priced and I would recommend everyone to avoid it.

We decided that we would not stay longer than one night at this 'Boutique' hotel… I would rather have not stay that one night given the choice but unfortunately, it was too late to find somewhere else for this evening at such short notice. I have NEVER had the misfortune to stay at such a filthy cramped room The photos on your website bear absolutely no resemblance to what we arrived to find. The room is cramped and dirty. There is black mould around the bath, taps and tiles of the 'bathroom ' which is actually at the foot of our bed in the same room. The 'wardrobe space' is a coat stand with TWO hangers. The single glazed window opens to brick wall with dustbin bellow and a noisy kitchen at work. Which is not mentioned on the website. When we pulled the sheets back to go to bed, it was covered In dark black curly hairs and under the top pillow on top of the bottom pillow was one long dark hair … (I have blonde hair) There was a cushion on the bed which was also filthy dirty and stained. I called the receptionist who brought freah sheets and pillows. We then changed the bedding ourselves. Both the receptionist and I took photos of the various hairs on the bed. This booking was not cheap for a room which does not provide breakfast, but going by the photos on your website, we thought it would be worth paying the price for something special which this clearly is not.

Boutique should not be included in description — misleading — on check in got option on viewing room before paying — staff fine — left key in desk reception when left in morning — room v small basic — clean — suited my needs for overnight stay — Wi-Fi poor no remote TV — was looking for reasonable cost for one overnight in Galway — this cheapest —

Quick check-in/out, good shower, close to a lot of places in Salthill. The room was a touch on the small side but the bed was comfy and just what was required.

Not a hotel never mind a "Boutique hotel" DO NOT expect anything except a bed and water for a shower. Horrible experience.

No Wi-Fi, no toiletries, very little toilet paper, very loud and bright room, no curtains, single pane window by busy road. No staff on-site. No breakfast. No place to hang clothes. No clock/alarm. Small room. Someone tried to forcefully enter our room at three thirty in the morning. Very fearful. Had to pay on arrival.

No Wi-Fi even they say it has (VITAL for abroad visitors who don't have foreign data plans). I'm writing this connected to another nearby hotel free Wi-Fi.
Just our first two hours and we already want to leave really bad.
Sadly we've booked and payed 3 nights in advance.
'Creepy and tiny' is the softest description I can write.
No space for ANYTHING in the room, not even to open your luggage (literally), no space to hang your clothes (4 hangers on a wall hollow)
Rusted WC brush, dust has not been cleaned in days. Window facing a creepy inner dark space between two buildings, faulty bulbs in many places.
Wouldn't repeat even in my wildest nightmares.
Run away from it. Really.

Disgraceful b&b, land lady banging on the door half an hour before check out telling us to make sure we were out on time. Bath at the end of the bed is ridiculously inconvenient. She turned the electricity off an hour before we left. It was advertised that the port was beside the b&b, not the case, an hours taxi ride away costing €60! DO NOT STAY HERE!

My issue with this little boutique hotel is that it was NOT clean. Bathroom vent was caked with dirt. Toilet brush was caked with feces. Light was gone over mirror. The towels had frayed ends. The room blinds have never been cleaned since they were installed, there was that much dirt on then you could write your. Name. Cobb webs on the lamp shade. Remote for TV did not work. There are no failures to make tea or coffee. The. Bed was comfortable. Would I go back again NO.

This is not a hotel! It is not even a b&b as they do not offer breakfast! While pictures on website are of the rooms they do not indicate the size of the rooms. They are tiny! Only thing in the room was small double bed. No room for anything else. Barely room to walk around. One side of bed pushed up against wall. No place to put belongs, only on floor, which made getting around even more difficult. No Wi-Fi. No tea making facilities. No hair drier. No hot water the next morning! And no one to ask for assistance. Room was clean and nice decor. If we had been told before arrival about the size of room and charged appropriately we would not have complained but at 120e for one night it was way overpriced! VERY DISAPPOINTING!

Had a great stay in Prairie House — but if your following your sat navigation its 'Black Cat ' … The lady that runs this please is so very nice … the rooms r small but so clean, warm and fashionable. This is certainly a place I would go again.

Nice little hotel. Right next to all the local shops. And a walk from the strand.

We had such a great time here. The staff are super friendly. The food is delish. And the bath at the end of the bed… well lets just say it was fun.

Excellent hotel loved our stay would recommend it to everyone. Salt hills best keep secret …

Just returned from a lovely break in Prairie House, Room small but spotless and comfortable, manageress very friendly and helpful. Sun Shining, plenty of sandy beaches, full Irish breakfast in Galleon restuarant facing hotel for only 8 euro 50 cent, plenty of time for a lie in as restaurant only opens at 11am. All in all a great weekend in Salthill.

The restaurant in Prairie House is the Black Cat and the food, service and wine are delicious.
