Fantastic spot!
The staff are the spirit of the place.
From the outside in, the building is a work of art. There is not a thing, a quirke, an extra that they haven't thought of! The breakfast was divine, granola yogurt & fresh preserve compote & platters of fresh pastries were a treat accompanied by perfect morning playlist. A few minutes walk to the beach for yoga and a swim. Ideal!
Unreal value for money, roommates were amazing (excellent environment for friends to be mad…e) will definitely be back! Well done you guys,

Clean rooms and great staff and food.

By far the best Hostel I'v been to. The Atmosphere was chill, modern, and clean. The Breakfast was amazing, and it felt like the staff truly cared about helping me with anything I needed. Especially Joeanne who I'd met the last day of my stay. I will be back!

Stayed for 2 nights with my husband in double room. Was greeting by the very warm and friendly Pedro. Was immediately impressed by the stylish interiors and overall relaxed and welcoming vibe of this place. It’s technically a hostel but it really feels more like a boutique hotel. Wonderful little touches throughout. Breakfast was great and the coffee delicious. Fantastic location in Salthill — very near the main promenade, restaurants and bars. Parking onsite (limited). Would def recommend.

Nice place. 120 a bit steep for a no frills bedroom with shared bathroom and very little parking and the view directly from the room was of a closed down hotel and a house in ruins hence the 3 stars other than that and no option for a fry up it's a lovely place and right at the centre of salthill. Very different from your ordinary run of the mill stay with really cool decor and very friendly staff.

Jolly people and placed just nearby the centre. Breakfast is free, nothing fancy and typical Irish. You get your own keys and come and go at anytime. Overall very decent for a hostel, just need some luck with your room mates as there are lots of pubs around and I've found some coming back late and drunk while reeking, yet In conclusion I do recommend it.

This place is great. The breakfast is fantastic. Freshly baked pastries from down the street, comfy rooms, and a very cool design and friendly staff. The only negative is that it's a bit out of the way from the middle of Galway, but Salthill is beautiful and worth checking out on it's own.

Lovely stay here. There is private rooms and dorms. Very clean. Off street parking (limited spaces) 10/15 minutes walk to central Galway along the ocean and park. Highly recommend you stay here.

Stylish hostel. We stayed in the apartment which was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good although no juices available.

Stayed in The Nest last night. Greeted on arrival by Lorna. Very nice girl. Very informative and friendly. Had a lovely cup of coffee in their common room before we headed out. Highly recommend trying the coffee. Great menu, great Coffee, lovely atmosphere. The bedroom was very comfortable alone with a very spacious bathroom. Enjoyed a lovely breakfast the following morning with a nice choice of fresh breads, pastries, cereals, natural yogurt etc. Along with Lorna another very nice girl called Joanne (a) was running around looking after their guests. As busy as it Was, they managed to attend to everyone in a very professional way all with a smile. Was very impressed.

Apartment is a great place to stay for family or party of 4. Modern, Clean, spacious, with well kitted kitchen and living room. We could not have hoped for better place to stay while doing renovation in our house. Staffs from The Nest are top class as well.

Friendly staff. Clean, spacious room with big bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Located 25 minutes by walk from the city center but on regular bus route aswell. Also the location is very good because there is a beach nearby and lots of shops, pubs and restaurants.

It was a good price for a private room and bathroom. The rooms look like student accommodation but they are nice and clean. The only difference between this and a hotel is the people who stay here. Be ready for loud people late at night. The staff was great. There was onsite parking. I definitely recommend it!

Went here for coffee as it looked like a really good spot. The decor is beautiful, the vibe is very relaxed and cool, and staff are super friendly. The barista boasted that cups are compostable, which is great, but as it turns out, at the cost of the coffee. I can't taste or enjoy my coffee at all. All I can taste is the cardboard cup it is served in. I'm very disappointed. I wouldn't have expected this from an up scale place. Coffee is probably amazing out of a real cup. Major let down.

Love staying at the Nest. Only a short stroll to the best nightlife in Galways West End and close to the seaside for morning coffee. The hostel itself is modern and very clean. Dorms are cosy. Great lounge area to hang out by the stove. Super friendly anx helpful staff.

Clean, large, spacious rooms. Soap and shampoos are provided. Good selection of food for breakfast. The staff were helpful… especially the one who was working in the morning. She was extremely nice and easy going. Definitely recommend this hostel. Excellent value for money.

Really great and helpful staff. Lovingly caring und supportive. The rooms are good, everything is neat and clean (depending on your roommates of course). Breakfast is quite good. A small variety of mainly sweet things. Only thing I missed, was a place to dry my wet clothes after hiking. My full recommendation for a budget worthy stay. Although all staff was really nice and caring, I have to mention that especially Sarah and Pedro were taking care enthusiastically and with such a personal and friendly note, it was nice to see them in the morning and have a little chatter every now and then. Thank you all, I will be back!

Really well designed hostel. Staff were very friendly (something in common with most Irish hostels) and the breakfast was pretty good with cereals, fruit, bread and pastries. There is unlimited free coffee and tea which is perfect when you've come in from the cold. We stayed in the double room, the bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was amazing!

We absolutely loved our stay at your beautiful place. It was so personal and thoughtful. Everything from the books in the room, the iced tea and croissants, the decor, the music, the fireplace and comfy chairs and the friendly staff made us feel very welcome. The location was fantastic — we loved walking along the beach into town, listening to local live music, exploring the Ed Sheeran pub down the road and of course experiencing local seafood. It was perfectly clean, comfortable and warm. Modern bathroom and comfy bed. We are still talking about our stay with you, it was the highlight of our UK trip. Thanks so much, we will be back!

This is a good hostel, really comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. It looks like a hotel. It's a good hostel if you want to relax but it caters to an older crowd, so it is a less friendly hostel in my experience. The facilities are very good, and very helpful staff, but be aware the hostel is about 30 minutes walk from the city center.

It's a very nice hostel, good quality rooms and friendly staff. The biggest drawback is that it's quite far from the town centre — you might need to take a bus a walk for 25 mins.

Very nice design hostel/hotel! We had a double room with private bathroom: clean and comfortable. The atmosphere is very cool and friendly. Breakfast is Sound proofing could be better but, beside that, we had a very nice stay.

Very good, comfortable and clean a bit high the price to be far from the center but was very comfortable and with excellent care and services.

What's not to love! Clean facilities, fantastic Wi-Fi, pretty nice free breakfast (Better than the usual hostel breakfasts of Ireland), friendly and helpful staff, nice kitchen, cool atmosphere. Definitely worth every cent.

Beautiful place, clean and modern. The breakfasts feature fresh pastries, individual pots of French pressed coffee. There is a young and helpful staff. And very close to Galway by bus, close to great walks on the strand at Salt Hill.

The only place you should stay in Galway. I loved the décor, the staff were so friendly and the cleaning staff do a top-notch job every morning. Only a 20mins walk into Galway but Salthill amenities are right on your door-step. Highly recommended!

Staff was mostly great. And my stay was comfortable. My initial reception wasn't great, but I had arrived from the amazing Lost Inn Lisbon so my expectations were quite high.

Clean and comfortable but bad soundproofing between rooms and corridor.

Really nice hostel just a 15 minute walk outside the city centre. Rooms are spacious, beds are all new, and there's plenty of lockers to store things securely. Staff were also extremely helpful.

I had a pleasure of staying here for two months and I have to admit that it was such a great time! The Nest Hostel is a beautiful place in a stunning location with great amenities and staff. I was totally impressed with the service, the room and delicious breakfast every day! There truly is nothing that the staff will not do to make your stay perfect. From the moment you arrive, you know you are someplace special. A unique design, only 2 min to Salthill Promenade and amazing atmosphere! Just loved it all! What I miss the most is cozy evenings in front of a fire in hostel’s common space. Hope to be back soon!

I stayed here for 4 night's in the dorm room. It's one of the nicer hostels I've stayed in. Very comfortable bunks, friendly staff, free lockers, simple free breakfast.

Great design hostel! Clean, warm and very well located.

The Nest provides a great welcome with comfortable accommodation in a fun, informal atmosphere. This brand new funky B&B is minutes from Galway City but away from all the hustle and bustle of the Centre. We parked directly outside the front door in the secure courtyard. The Nest has a big 'wow' factor on arrival. We loved the Dan Gardner industrial style design throughout the building and my bed for the two nights was more comfortable than my bed at home with a brand new mattress and comfy duvet and pillow. The shower was powerful. My nine year old daughter loved using the vending machine for drinks and snacks and I noticed it contained boxes of paracetamol, great idea. It was brilliant value for money. Breakfast was fabulous, home made granola, blueberries, raspberries, yoghurt, freshly baked scones, fresh bread, percolated coffee, a range of teas, homemade lemonade, fresh fruit, toast if requested and more. I found the staff helpful and flexible. A special thank you to Keith and Gosia — we had a wonderful time and we will definitely be back in the future.
