A very nice place to stay close to Galway bay. Very friendly. Would definitely recommend for everyone.

Just what we needed after a very poor BNB experience. Comfortable beds and a wonderful bathtub. Patsy even gave us tea and coffee as we waited for our cab in the morning. Very pleased.

Quaint family hotel near salthill. Great food and great pint of guinness.

We cannot express our thanks to you enough for all you did for us on our stay with you. You are the most wonderful hosts anyone could ask for. I cannot recommend this place more highly. Your facilities, the food, the location and the staff were fantastic. May "the luck of the Irish" always descend apon you.

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay, the lady who runs it is so lonely. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious so much nicer as its cooked fresh. Not far from the sea front either.

Stayed four nights while working in Galway. Amazing hosts. They will pour a perfect pint for you anytime after hours. They will drop everything to give you a ride when it's raining. Best eggs ive ever eaten, plus homemade jam and hot sauce! Comfy beds and super quiet rooms. The Wi-Fi was more than strong enough to stream netflix and I was greeted with a smile by every staff member any hour of the day.

I stayed in 2 hotels before this one, first was the Galway bay hotel and second was the Salt hill. None of these even came close to the hospitality of the Rockbarton! The hotel is oldie worldy with lots of character and a great breakfast. I had a spot of bother with the bus strikes and needed to find alternate travel plans back to Shannon airport. The owner was brilliant, she phoned around for me and arranged taxis and a different bus to get me to the airport. Again very friendly and made me feel very welcome. I would recommend this place to anyone looking​ for somewhere to stay in Galway. Thank again :)

An awesome home from home in a world of commercialisation, Where else but here or at home could you get an iron and a board at midnight. The rooms were beautiful and very very clean. Everyone was so friendly to me and my friend. We couldn't have asked for more. Two very busy ladies departed from Galway on Sunday more than happy with this hotel. Thanks a million everyone.

The owners are really friendly and the room was cozy with shampoo and body gel which is great! It's about 15 min from restaurants, and 40 min to the city center.

We recently stayed at the Rockbaron and were made most welcome. The rooms were clean and warm. We would recommend this hotel and hope to stay here again next time we visit Galway.

The best food this side of Galway as well as dishes you won't get anywhere else as the chef also raises some of his own livestock and sources the rest himself. I went here for a drink one night and was very impressed by the sights and smells coming from the tables around me. So now it's my favourite place to eat. A very cosy atmosphere tops it all off.

We were at a wedding last weekend in a nearby hotel and just stumbled upon this place. Quaint place but the food was excellent, the drink was good and the hospitality was second to none. We will be back. Cheers!

Very good dinner and great value for money. Its not the ritz but it is clean and good value for money. The restaurant is second to none, best dinner ever!
