Hati Hati Hostel

I already gave them a 1 star. Have to give them another one. Got a threatening email saying I am telling lies and stuff was not true. And that I should show them how to run the place. And how they have to spread to income anong 7 staff. 7 person staff is completely useless since the place is in general so dead its not needed to have to place 24/7 occupied. The staff is satisfied and happy they got a job. But the place needs upkeep. Instead of laying around maybe start fixing things.

1 star. To make a point here. We booked directly after reading good reviews so unfortunately cant make a complaint anywhere else. Don't know where to start. The working aircon and hot water are probably the only good things. — Highly unmotivated and staff which lacked any iterest to care about anything that was going on in the place. They were a bit helpfull but their priority was obvious using the place as a hangout for their friends in the evening. — Not sure if the bathroom was clean or just wet and smelly since so many insensecubes were used. The shower is at the highest point. The door is lowest point in the room which instantly floods to whole place. Sink also enters on the floor. Room is soaked all day long. Often no toiletpaper — Mosquito net had holes in it. — For 2 people only a small blanket was given, had to use our own blanket to cover both people. — Breafast included? That means if there is breakfast. We were told to get breakfast after Borobudur trip. After coming back they could only make a fried egg for 1 person. Dont ask what we want if all you can serve is fruit and tea. — Coffee was empty at that time too. Dont promote coffee and tea all day if your staff cant be bothered to walk around the corner to get a coffee refill. — Staff told us we could rent a scooter at their place. We postponed it once because of rain but gave them a day notice. As soon as we wanted to leave with bike the next day the current staff told us to wait.

Loved this place. The staff know a lot about the city and other places. And the breakfast is delicious!

Helpful staff, tucked away from the main road, rooms are okay. No ac. In common area. Breakfast and shower is also ok.

Staff is really friendly however they smoke everywhere. The reception is always full of smokers and that smoke arrives to the rooms. Our bed had bedbugs. They changed us to a different room when we told them but we had to wash all our infected clothes and pay for that laundry. Breakfast is okay, they really make an effort to impress customers but they mix for example oatmeal with cheese. I would not stay there again.

Loved it here! I was only going to stay 3 nights but ended up staying 6. The only slightly negative about the place is that there are only 3 toilets/showers and the bathrooms sometimes smell a little weird, but everything else was absolutely amazing!

I love the hippy ambiance, the friendly staffs (they really good in english), thr free coffee, tea, and water, the Wi-Fi (so fast! ), the location (it's near the kraton and water palace). Great stay at hati hati!

The perfect place in Yogyakarta! The staff is really helpful and gives you every advice you need. Keep on like this! Un abbraccio.

We was there for 3 nights and it was really nice! We had the private room for two people with an air conditioner. The staff can speak english very well and they are all friendly and help you out whereever they can. I only can recommend this Homestay.
If you want to do some tours, they offer you to sign you up for some tours as we did the Merapi-Trekking Tour (Really really though, could and windy).

Clean, cheap hostel with very helpful staff that help you with any activities you are thinking of doing. Would recommend. Hati Hati would get 5 stars except that their A/C in the dorm did not work. A new A/C or some fans would help a lot with the heat.

Nice hostel, very helpful hosts at reception who can organise trips / recommend places to go, where to eat etc and provides a yummy breakfast. Not on the main touristy street but very central to everything, would recommend staying here :)

Unbeatable! Very good atmosphere, super cozy, very clean, a lot of help… to feel at home on the other side of the world. A perfect homestay for backpackers!

If you're in Jogja for just a few days, this is hands down the best place to stay. Super helpful staff who accommodate to all your needs and give the best advice on where to go for day trips. I definitely recommend this lovely hostel to all backpackers, you won't forget your stay here!

What a good place for rest when in jogjakarta. The staffs are very friendly, polite and they're help us to get the taxi and motorcycle rent. They also cheer up us before we go to UGM Test. I think we will go back to Hati Hati if we're going to stay some nights in Jogja!

Loved this place. We ended up staying in Yogyakarta for 9 days for visa extension and couldn't of picked a better place to stay. Really felt like home with amazing breakfasts and cool art/decoration on the walls. The rooms are all big and clean and if you have the ones upstairs there is a big balcony with a seating area to chill on. The staff are so nice, friendly and welcoming and offer lots of advice about places to eat and stuff to do!

Lovely homestay with lovely staff! I especially love the breakfast which is very healthy and also delicious. Lots of cool art work to appreciate too. Highly recommended for those who are planning to visit Yogyakarta.

Ade and the ladies are the most hospitable people I've met the whole time of my 5 months of travel. The place is clean and the beds are so comfy! I felt so welcome from the moment I walked through the doors. You guys are BEST.

I had a great and cool stay in Hati Hati! We had music jam at night, sung indonesian songs I didn't even know what it means hahaha Clean place, plus the coolest, friendly and accommodating crew! Especially Jerry, Ade and Rico, they were the nicest! Would love to stay again when I'm back in Jogja! Terima Kasih Hati Hati!
