Review of Viceroy Bali 5*

Pure luxury! Wow! My husband and I stayed here for a week in March 2016 for the second part of our honeymoon and we had the most amazing time. This is one of the best places I have ever stayed in and has set my standards probably a bit too high! Nowhere I have stayed since has come close to the level of amazing-ness of this place and The Oberoi. The staff are so kind and welcoming, very happy to help. We entered our room and as it was our anniversary there was a beautiful cake waiting for us. A little elephant to keep as a souvenir. Chocolates were given every day in these cute little beaded trinket boxes. Lots of sweet little touches that make the stay extra special. The private pool is always hot, the view from the pool and room is so overwhelmingly stunning. The breakfast, lunch and dinner are all fantastic. They have a private taxi service instead of a shuttle service. They only go up to certain points but get you as close to your destination as possible. The spa is amazing, we had the 90 full body massage and treatment. It was just what we needed after climbing the Volcano Batur! As it was our honeymoon, they set up a romantic dinner for us just in front of the infinity pool. One single table with flower petals leading to it and beautifully placed around it. It felt so special. 5 courses of tasty and interesting food catered to our lacto vegetarian diet. The food dishes were like art, there were edible flowers (imported from a European country I think) incorporated in to the dish. I am so glad we picked this place to stay, worth every single penny. I can't wait to return! Ubud itself is such a beautiful place, I have nothing but wonderful memories of Bali.
