Canadian large barrels are great as a bathtub. The walls, floor, interior and space are all perfect. A Japanese-style calm and stylish building is the best. The staff is always smiling. I want the food to do a little better。カナダ産の大きな樽はバスタブとして最高です。壁、床、インテリア、空間、全てが完璧です。日本風が入り落ち着いた感じとスタイリッシュな建物が最高。スタッフもいつも笑顔です。お料理はもう少し頑張って欲しいです。

Great boutique hotel in Ubud Bali, restaurant food was delicious and breakfasts plentiful. Loved the infinity pool overlooking the valley. Beds very comfortable, the plunge wood tub In the bathroom was a unique touch, at least 45 mins to fill so make sure you have the time to relax. All areas of the hotel and suites are spotless! Staff are only too keen to help and are so pleasant. Great Holiday.

Chose the best hotel for our holiday with endless views and peace and quiet but also great service.

Luxurious amenities and excellent service. Located 10 min walk from Ubud center, but also provides shuttle there. Complimentary daily yoga lessons that we have yet to take advantage of. Satisfied with experience.

Outsanding hotel and for a very good price compared to others in the area. Located just off of the main Street in Ubud, this is the place to stay. I'm writing this review as we are poolside on our last day and I'm sad to be leaving such a great hotel behind! We were greeted at the airport (having arranged a pick up) by a very friendly driver, who told us about Bali's culture and heritage. Check in was very simple and straightforward and the staff were genuinely lovely people, who spoke with such warmth. They were always happy to arrange taxis, tours and anything else that we needed, often at short notice! They were very accommodating, especially as we were often indecisive (sorry! ) We had a pavilion suite which had a nice living area. The bed was big and comfortable and the waterfall shower was amazing! It's a shame we didn't get to use the soaking tub as we were often out and about but it was a beautiful addition. They have a lovely infinity pool looking out into the surrounding area, which is stunning. There aren't many sunbeds owing to space so if it's sunny, I'd say get there early! The service was simply put, outstanding. Every single member of staff, from the front desk, to bar staff, to kitchen staff and housekeeping went over and above at every opportunity and that's what makes Bisma so great, the staff and the service. Breakfast was a-la-carte and lovely and fresh and slightly in the lighter side, which was great as there is less wastage.

Had a magical stay at bisma 8, we were recommended this place to stay by two groups and it lived up to their reviews! We've just left and it's perfect for young families, couples etc. It's a small boutique hotel and you receive exceptional service which feels in line with a smaller hotel. We travelled with our 10 month old son who loved the hotel, it's boutique and feels small and warm. We especially loved the design, the great food, the service and kindness from the staff who after only a few days felt like friends. They all adored my son and played with him, we also used their babysitter and had a night out ourself. 5/5!

I had a rare amazing beautiful experience here. I actually stumbled upon Bisma 8 when it first opened in 2015. The serene and zen room interior, mind-blowing food, infinity pool overlooking the forest, upmost excellent customer service left an impressionable mark on me. So much so I returned in 2018 to visit it. This time, I had the privilege to meet an owner of this place. He saw me sitting by myself relishing the place and came by to chat with me. Super amazing and friendly. I love the homely feel of Bisma 8. P. S: It’s also next to a draconian looking hotel called Nick’s Place. You can even walk around it for the thrills. I highly recommend Bisma 8 :)

Had a lovely 4 night stay here in a Canopy Suite. The room was wonderful with excellent service at the end of the phone whenever needed! Breakfast was lovely with a good choice, nothing too heavy which is good! Coffee from their onsite Library cafe was also welcome! As others have mentioned there is construction work going on next door; however these lovely hotels do need to be built at some point, plus it’s quite entertaining watching the building site health and safety (or lack of)! All in all a superb start to our Bali get away!

I can give the good credit for the room and restaurant interior and the hotel staff but there are some issues the hotel need to consider for future improvements. The entrance of the hotel — it didn’t look like hotel lobby I thought it was someone’s parking lot. The pool — I think the hotel didn’t change the water for a long time, it looked like light milk tea and the Very poor quality of beach towels. The room — paper thin interior walls. I could heard everything from hallway and next door. And the last There are CONSTRUCTION next to the hotel from 10am to 4pm. It is not a hotel property but I think hotel need to give a information to the guest before book this hotel. If you want to stay this hotel I recommended take regular room because the construction is going on next to the suite room last number with 1

Noisy hotel and poor service. A new building is being built right next to the pool, and as a result the pool is impractical without ear plugs between 10am and 4pm 7 days a week. Beside, pool towels were in poor condition, edges were ripped and towels were not soft (definitely not like in 5 star hotels). We had drinks by the pool and as we did not take our cash/card to go swimming they harassed us later by calling the room twice and ask us to go paying. (you normally settle those bills upon departure…) On the bright side, we stayed in a forest suite with a stunning view on the jungle and we enjoyed the round bamboo bathtub!

What a great hotel! The staff were friendly and attentive, and the hotel itself is wonderful. The bed was comfie, the room service was amazing, and perhaps one of our favorite features (especially, after being on a boat for three days with instant coffee) was that our room had a small French press with local coffee. The coffee from the Library room was perfect, too. I can’t wait to return one day.

Bisma Eight is absolutely beautiful. Great location, the staff are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are awesome and the pool has a great view. The only thing that was dissapointing was the breakfast, when paying so much for a hotel, I expected every meal to be of a high standard, unfortunately the breakfast is extremely basic and really small servings. You also have to pay for additional sides which I think is a bit ridiculous considering most hotels offer a buffet breakfast. Overall great stay but just eat breakfast at the surrounding cafes.

We have a great spacious room with doors that opened up to our own sort of mini rainforest. Staff were friendly, gym though a bit limited was sufficient and had one of my best coffees in the beautiful and quite cafe just around from the library. Nice infinity pool with views of the forest.

Bisma Eight is heaven on earth with lovely rooms and amazing service from an extremely warm, friendly and attentive staff. I really enjoyed the yoga and cultural immersion classes and the food at Copper Rest. Was always fresh and flavorful. No detail is missed in the aesthetic theme of the property. Even the music played throughout the grounds was always amazing. I hope to go back at some point as it was one of my favorite hotel experiences ever. All around amazing experience! My only comment would be to consider adding dehumidifiers to the rooms.

Fantastic hotel. Stayed for four nights. Staff were lovely. Room is sizeable, clean, very very comfortable. Breakfast is very good. Facilities are lovely. I can't say enough good things.

Loved it! Everything was incredible. The food was amazing (salute to chef Agus Pardiasa). The room was excellent (I spent 2 nights at the forest suite). In here, you do not need to go anywhere, unless you want to go around Ubud center (they also provide shuttle car every hour).

Before embarking on a solo adventure over to Singapore, I knew I wanted to take a few days and make a short visit over to Bali. I ended up booking my stay at Bisma Eight. To say this was a perfect stay might be an understatement because it was above and beyond perfection. Service here was outstanding and each of the employees of Bisma Eight truly make a guest feel welcomed and valued. I loved everything about Bisma Eight. I was kindly upgraded to a Canopy Suite and enjoyed the treetop balcony room views as well as the room itself. The bed was comfy and the room had all the amenities I could possibly need. Also, the Japanese soaking tub is not to be missed! My room was clean and well-prepared upon arrival. The infinity pool is very nice and I spent most of my day lounging and reading outside. I spent a rainy afternoon writing in my journal at the Library Cafe, and had a fantastic latte to boot. Copper Kitchen was go-to for meals since it was within Bisma Eight and had a plethora of delicious items. I highly recommend staying at Bisma Eight if you are looking for a perfect, relaxing, accommodating stay in Ubud. I will be back!

We had a lovely stay at Bisma Eight over the Thanksgiving holiday. The staff is so warm and welcoming, the morning and evening activities are great, the daily breakfast included in our stay was amazing! The location is perfect, right off a less busy street but walking distance to everything you would want on the main road in Ubud. The hotel was quiet and peaceful, the pool was never crowded, the Library café and cozy bar in the hotel were perfect. Rooms were a great size, property is walkable and small, room service 24/7 with great food selections and they offer reasonable laundry service. Thank you for a great stay, Bisma Eight!

The most beautiful and well designed hotel I have ever been to (and I travel a lot). The staff are very helpful and kind, the pool area is lovely, the rooms are spacious, very nicely furnished and comfortable, and the restaurant is stunning. Couldn't have stayed in a better hotel!

Hotel has good location& gives a different experience being located in a jungle. Facilities at the hotel does not give hygienic feeling. Hotel also does not provide breakfast buffet. There’s hardly any variety in vegetarian dishes. Didn’t find value for money.

I spent 4 nights in this lovely boutique hotel. I had a standard double room, that was more like a suite, however. Very nice interior and very spacious. The minuses were: no shower hose, the door to the terrace was broken and could not be opened for fresh air and the bed linen had some suspicious yellow staining (sic! ). I had breakfast included but that meant I could order only a limited number of foods from the breakfast menus. Just one croissant and not two for example. Also bottled water is not included, just tap water. And the coffee is very sour / I could not drink it (like in most cafes in Ubud). If I ordered food it was quite expensive and rather average quality. The pool area (infinity pool) with a great view is awesome. Because it is west view and the beach umbrellas are rather small there is no shadow in the afternoon. After all a really nice hotel that unfortunately failed in too many details.

Just perfect stay. It's high priced but awesome atmosphere and service. The pool is an absolutely highlight. Breakfast is also very good. The restaurant is quite expensive but good alternatives in a few minutes walk. The place is quite central in ubud.

Bisma Eight is one of the greatest resorts that can be found in Ubud. It's right on the next street of Ubud center, which gives you the close proximity to everything you want but at the same time gives you the calm, peaceful Ubud to you. The resort itself is great value for money. I stayed in more expensive resorts in Bali, this is small but posh that satisfied my taste. I loved their food and service. The infinity pool may be a bit small but it's always under the sun. Though the water can be a bit too chilly as it is facing the jungle maybe or the time I visited Bali was unusually cool. All in all it is a great value for money for the service and facilities you get as the y only have suites and I am definitely coming back to stay later.

Stayed in the forest suite, amazing view from your bed. The food is fantastic as the pool area. Absolutely fantastic!

Beautifully designed hotel, they really worked hard at allowing nature to reclaim the building — it looks and feels incredible to be surrounded by it. The pool is amazing, breakfast, lunch and dinner… all tasty, and the service was perfect. During our stay we enjoyed complementary cocktails, daily yoga classes and a cooking class! Great location too, only a short walk to the Monkey Forest, bars, market etc.

Very attentive service, staff and management. Beautiful and well designed rooms and resort. The rooms are spacious, fully furnished and equipped with an Onsen bathtub! Lush greenery surrounds the resort and provides a tranquil setting from the pool or roof top area, where you can enjoy complementary morning yoga and a lavish a la carte breakfast.

As soon as you walk into Bisma Eight, you feel a sense of calm, all contributed to by the design, lighting and music of the hotel. The welcome and check in wasn't very smooth, and there were quite a few miscommunications from the woman that checked me in throughout my stay. Otherwise, all other staff members were super friendly and genuinely helpful, the most authentic I’ve had in Bali so far. I walked into my Canopy Suite and I could hear meditation-like music from outside playing. I asked the staff walking me through the room about it, and if it would be playing all day/night. She said it wasnt very loud and that it shouldn’t be an issue. I tried to take a nap but could not block the music out. I called the front desk and asked if there were any other rooms available. She said there was only one room left but it was being used for a project. Otherwise I would have to pay for a Forest Suite upgrade. I declined and tried to go back to sleep. I couldn’t fall asleep so I went to find the source of the music. It was coming from the restaurant right above me. I called back to see if/when the other Canopy Suite would be available. A manager checked on the status, came to me in person to apologize and said I would be able to move in within the hour. He personally helped me move to the second room which was further away and thankfully super quiet, exactly what I needed. Thank you to the manager for being so accommodating!

After similar prices resorts in Bali I was really underwhelmed with Bisma. We found it to be overpriced and not as warm welcoming as the other resorts we stayed in. The room was really dark even with all the lights on and the service not as attentive. The breakfasts were also average… it's still a lovely hotel and great pool area just didn't live up to what I expected from all the great reviews and comparing to other resorts that were cheaper.

Incredibly beautiful property with the most friendly staff. Far enough from things to be quiet, but close enough to walk to art market, temples, restaurants, and more.

Stayed there with my wife for our honeymoon almost two years ago for three nights. Amazing huge room, great cuisine, nice staff. Joined the free yoga morning class, rented bikes, used the pool of course, …

One of the best hotels I visited recently. Recommended for couples as it is very romantic. The service is excellent, as I left a message of a birthday occasion of my partner, and I found a surprise cake with very sweet message from the management. The swimming pool is very beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious, it was included but a la carte, where you pick the menu that you prefer out of 4 variety.

Such a nice place with a beautiful pool and room — the staff is so lovely, also there is no sun but we can enjoy the complementary activities like the yoga session and also the cooking class with the chef. It was so nice. The food was really good and especially the breakfast (I miss the granola! ) thanks for having us! and see you soon :)

An oasis in Ubud. Warm, Friendly personal service with welcoming staff. Excellent restaurant serving fresh and delicious food from their own farm, with creating and inocative locally sourced foods tailored to local and Western tastes. Beautifully designed spacious and well appointed rooms. We had a Forrest view suite and can say the views overlooking the Forrest were amazing. Hotel has a unique design. Had a great 5 night stay. We will be returning at some point again. Thanks for wonderful stay Bisma Eight!

Copper restaurant at Bisma 8 is the best thing in Ubud. Fantastic location, fine food and sophisticated cocktails. This is a must visit.

From the second I stepped into Bisma Eight, it felt like home. In fact, I rarely left the room. To make things easier for everyone, I am reviewing this place according to what I have experienced — room, Wi-Fi, pool, restaurant, cafe and staff. I stayed at the canopy suite for 2 nights. 1. Room — I was welcomed with a welcome drink and fruits, and from the moment I checked in, the staff showed me around the room and explained to me the details of the room. What intrigued me was the design of the room. It was very minimalist yet it had everything that I needed. The room was spacious and cosy. Couch and bed were super comfy, toilet was big and very well equipped too. Coolest part for me was the huge wooden Japanese tub as it was a first for me. 2. Wifi — Super fast Wi-Fi throughout the entire hotel! Not sure if that has to do with the fact as there weren't many guests but I wouldn't expect a place like Ubud to have really fast Wi-Fi. 3. Infinity Pool — Pretty clean with a nice view of the Ubud forest. As I went during low season, I had the pool all to myself most of the time. 4. Restaurant and Cafe — Interesting fusion food at reasonable price. I did notice that prices at copper restaurant were slightly on the high side, but personally I wouldn't mind paying for good quality food. The ambience and atmosphere didn't seem overly fancy to me too. Even though it was a restaurant-like setting, but I still felt very comfortable even though I turned up wearing a tee and shorts.

This fantastic boutique hotel sits close to the center of Ubud. The view of the ricefields, monkey forest, and the fantastic panorama of the bedugul and gunung agung mountain ranges are spectacular during the sunsets. Rooms are very comfortable, japanese-looking tub is great with sauna scents and the food in copper kitchen and bar is fantastic. Highly recommended stay with good value.
