Review of Puri Santrian 4*

The hotel isn't what I expected, it's situated on a small stroke of the beach, if you want to lay on the beach you will almost fall of the beds because of the steep angle of the beachs. The place is litered with stray dogs. In the morning the whole pool is shaded and in the afternoon the whole beach is shaded so your constantly switching seats. Also people are constantly luring to sea if your standing up. If you pack your towels people will instantly stand up to take your sunbed or loungers. The prices on site are way to overpriced a club sandwich with 4 sandwiches and small protion of fries is already 120k. If you walk up the boardwalk for 200m further than the favella with it's warung just outside the hotel you will reach a bigger portion of beach with lots of love good restaurant on the beach were a similar club sandwich would cost you only 55k! We stayed in the club rooms which have their own pool which we never used. The rooms are okay and have fast Wi-Fi. We had a family room with interconnecting doors. However one day we had no running water, the next day no hot water and the next day our toilet wouldn't flush. Which wasn't nice. Also on our last day we had no Wi-Fi. The sockets in our room were all broken and didn't grip our wall adapters. We also went for the Bali cultural dinner show where the performed some dances and had a buffet with typical Indonesian food. We thought the would perform a dance and then you would go for a starter and than a dance and than your main course. However it was eat everything in 15 min and than all the dances are performed. There was a gamalan playing in the 15 min before the dances they however played so loud that you couldn't communicatie with the people at your table. We also got a surprise visit from a rat during the dinner which was not nice and not a good sign. What's also wired is that beer is served in plastic cups. Am not at a college party but in a 4 star resort! We stayed for 7 days in end of July to Begin augustus. We had 5 days of only thick clouds and no sun. So I wouldn't thrust anyone on the internet that says July and August are the best times to go to Bali because it only has 1 cloudy day. Would definitely not go to this resort instead but to Nusa dua.
