We planned to go to alibaug from 8-10 june. After lot of searching on MMT and Goibibo, we wanted to have a budget stay and more of an open area so that we could enjoy the nature. This holiday home had 4.5 ratings on MMT and people gave great reviews hence I chose to go with this place. People gave reviews that the owner is very friendly and will solve your issues right away. First of all, the place is not in proper Alibagh, nor is it on the outskirts. Its 25 mins away from Alibaug and the nearest beach — Nagaon beach is a piece of garbage as shown in the photos. You cannot even stand in the waters as its washes away chemical waters to the shores. We were kinda disappointed after seeing the beach as it was not at all we had in mind. We ordered boiled eggs for evening snack and the owner took half an hour to just prepare the eggs. Just one good part was that the rooms were clean but don’t expect someone to come and clean everyday. You need to tell him 3 hrs in advance if you want to have dinner and the nearest restaurant denied to serve us food even at 8:30. So basically you don’t have much options for food near to the holiday home so its a negative point. We asked for towels but the owner denied saying he didn’t have towels as they were wet from the rains. And basically he had only 4-5 towels in total and no spare towels or hand towels either. There are only 5 cottages in total and a small area open in between.
The place is clean and food is great. 6 cottages with some open space to relax.
