I found Sahara’s claim to be “a step ahead” to be true. The design and decor of the facility are exquisite. The room was comfortable, spacious, and quiet. It’s a big hotel so prepare for a short walk to reach your room. The view of the inner courtyard is spectacular! The breakfast was incredible. The wait staff asked multiple times if there was anything else they could do to serve us. The staff refuse to let you carry anything. They also escort you to your location instead of pointing the way. My only negative is that their hold times on the phone and their check-in and check-out times are too long to truly be 5 star. Their current staff seems very busy. Perhaps more staff working the phones and front desk would be a wise investment. While there are many desks in the front lobby there appeared to be only 2-3 computers to check-in or out hundreds of rooms. They also don’t have any loyalty incentive rewards program to invite you back. Everything else was amazing!

Everyone should visit once and you will away from whole world. Food was really good and ambience and the staff were tremendous. I would love to visit it again And worth paying money for this kind of hotel in India. Truly a Star.

Prime location close to Airport. Spacious, luxurious and well maintained hotel with new furnishings and decor. Worth every penny spent for this property. Lots of room options for every budget. Extremely suitable for short business visit in particular. Overall a recommended option.

Hotel is good, full of comfort and luxury. Rooms are little compact but comfortable. In room dont put your valuables things into vault, hotel people have easy access of it. While checkout I forgot things in vault, when I have came back to collect it, vault was open. I amazed as they have taken my things without contacting me. So please be sure about your privacy and valuable belongings.

I was there to attend exhibition by south Korean government for various innovations. The entry and exit are specious and well managed. The horse statues in a small pond with fountain is marvelous piece of sculpture. The lift directly open on third floor for huge banquet hall entry. Lobby for hotel is specious and with great ambience. The banquet hall is really huge and have facility of converting it in to multiple way with partition. Ceiling light effects are stunning. As expected, professional house keeping services, clean and neat area and humble staff satisfied the star gradations Hotel has. It's nice experience to visit it.

I visited the earth plate restaurant at the Sahara star hotel. As soon as I entered I was greeted with the staff which escorted me to my seat and showed me the way to the buffet that I had gone to eat. The buffet itself was huge with a veriety of everything like salad rice bread soup pizzas and every kind of desert imaginable, there was traditional Indian sweets and moose as well as ice cream and pastries. I especially loved the fruits which were fresh and had my favourites like Jack fruit, watermelon and dragon fruit. All in all it was an great experience. An experience that one would expect when visiting a 5* hotel.

I was there only for one function, but the hotel has left a lasting impression. Facilities are good. The AC more powerful than expected. Acoustics well designed and clear. And nice banquet facilities.

It is a nice hotel with great infrastructure. I had only visited for Education Fair. Entrance was beautiful. Sanitation facilities are good and air conditioning was nice. I did not have food so I cannot give my opinion regarding the same. Location is kool, as it's close to airport and station.

With its unique oval shape, the hotel looks amazing. 5 minutes distance from airport is a big plus. However, rooms are a bit of a disappointment — they are dull and on the smaller size. For the whole gallery, there are lifts only on one side. You may have to cross as many as 60 rooms, before reaching yours. Another lift on the other side also would have been very sensible. The food is good, nothing amazing about it. The banquet hall of the hotel is mesmerizing. It is huge with lovely interiors. Recommended for — Business travelers looking for hotel nearby Airport Not so recommended for — Tourists.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and with beautiful views to the pool. The only downside is that the cable from the TV did not work well and the water in the tub would go out. Hotel next to the airport, very well connected.

Amazing experience. I visited Sahara Star with my dear friend for midnight buffet. It was a lovely experience. The ambiance is awesome. It was a surreal feeling to dine at Sahara Star. Am highly impressed by the service provided. The staff was pleasant and very happy to help. Was taken care at my table all the time. Lip smacking starters, okayish main course and super awesome desserts.

Excellent ambience. Great interiors. One feels one is in a different world. The rooms are very nicely done. Some of the rooms have very good view. The experience of staff interactions however was not very good. In a couple of interactions, they seem to be quite rigid.

It's grand. The view from inside is great if you get a room that looks inside big open area. The gym is also very handy. The buffe breakfast was lavish. Yet somehow the space is very mechanical, people playing their roles, not any personal touch. That I guess is also a wrong expectation from a place that has a capacity and probably survives on numbers it caters to. The best thing is the domestic airport which is next door.

No need to say anything about it! The name itself says everything…! Good food. Good ambiance… Great facilities. Good service and superb place. :)

One of the most luxurious hotels Can compete with Atlantis Dubai. Modern architecture infused with thoughtful designing makes it no less than a great hotel cum resort. A must visit place with a price not too high. Equipped with all the facilities consisting of a range of restaurants to choose from, it is one of the best hotels.

It was lovely on the inside. Ingenious design, wish they had more than one set of elevators … It was a long walk all the way across to our suite, also one of the 3 elevators was not working. Good service by staff, we were a newly married couple and the room it was decorated, they gave us a delicious cake and let us check out an hour later, which was so helpful! Place was clean and the bathroom was great, very good pressure on the showers. We had the venus primer suite and it was wonderful!

WOW! I was in the area and was intrigued by the unusual shape of the building so I took a walk around it and discovered a rather incredible hotel. Think a cricket stadium like the Wanderers in Johannesburg aka 'The Bullring' and this is what you have here — a hotel in the shape of a cricket stadium. Nothing however can prepare you for what you see when you walk into the reception. It's simply beautiful. I did not get to stay here unfortunately but spent an hour looking around and photographing this place and I am convinced there are very few hotels like this around the world!

Good hotel. Attended my company's annual function day here. Food was good. Liked the service. Hall are really big and ennef space for 2000 folks. Good but keep cost in mind. Not cheap.

Location, rooms, decor are great. Tried only the buffet breakfast. Good spread. Amenities are good. What needs improvement is the level of service in the restaurants (it is minimal). Same is the case otherwise as well, right from check-in, which is what many prefer — not in any restaurant though. Rates are on the higher side and not commensurate with the quality/quantity of food (room service) or the service quality.

Very comfortable hotel. It is a bit like living in a bubble but what a nice bubble. Rooms are clean and spacious. There are many different restaurants to choose from so you need never go hungry. Staff are courteous.

The overall experience was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had gone for the dinner buffet. The food was good. But there was not much variety. There could be more non vegetarian appetizers. But it was worth the money. Enjoyed a lot.

Bad service… Please DO NOT waste money on the name of 5 star. Despite of asking for a non-smoking room (all rooms are stinking by the way… And one starts sensing as soon as you move to the room through the hall way), we were put in a smoking one. First the staff didn't bother to respond and then after chasing them for almost an hour (by physically reaching out to reception), they gave worst options. Just because we were too tired, checked out next day. Never gonna come back. Better get similar rooms in Andheri area at less than half or probably one third the price.

Has been refurbished well over the years and new change is a welcome surprise to old visitors! The entrance looks a lot better and parking facilities too good! The coffee shop n restaurant sports an excellent design and menu too and multi — cuisine restaurants with Glass Aquarium with exquisite Aquatic Fish make it an ideal place to relax!

Good ambiance but poor hospitality and Service. Not good for business meet. Food at restaurant is good. Some dinning section are closed. Front desk staff is not very friendly. Overall not a great experience to be at Sahara star.

Awesome and lovely place. The only issue here is of parking. There is no parking for buses. Only small luxury cars can be parked. Otherwise it is very great place. Also the atmosphere here is very nice. The horses at entrance are very attractive. I like them most, especially at night time under light it feels really great. Ambience of all halls is amazing. The security is also very tight. And it is nearby to airport is an added advantage for its location.

It’s a larger than life place literally. Humongous to say the least. It’s almost in the Mumbai domestic airport so make sure you don’t take Jet or Air India if you intend to head here on landing in Mumbai. I loved the food here. While I visited there was some renovation on so view wasn’t exactly perfect.

Overall a positive experience. We ended up staying for 2 days but did not have food, so no inputs on that front. The only improvement could be the Star Sahara help or whatever it is called. They were a bit slow to respond.

The rooms in the hotel are quite good, clean and have ample of space for the basic room. The balcony overlooking the full dome of the hotel is the perfect place to just relax with your friends in the quiet for a chilled night in at the hotel or with your partner. The staff is quite friendly and polite and the room service is more than happy to help overall a good pleasant stay.

Was here for a two day conference this weekend, and did experience the Sahara hospitality from reception to service to food to restaurants and the housekeeping. Entire banquet and service including the kitchen did a wonderful job, that too when they all know that the people they are serving are all hoteliers. Ashwini at the reception was really helpful in terms of query which I had late evening and she got me connected to Amby valley. Thanks…

Good than a 5 star experience. Very well maintained and managed. Professional management. Trained and cooperative staff and security. Great embience. Large rooms. Pool and spa within the complex. Good restaurants inside. Buffet breakfast included in rates. Keep a higher budget as the rates are on a higher side. The biggest plus point for the hotel is the proximity to domestic airport. International airport is also only about 3 kms from here.

Great ambience & scenic location. Rooms have fabulous views of the tropical foyer of the hotel. Some rooms need renovation. In some rooms during day time lot of noise of maintenance work is heard. Most disturbing aspect is the pre authorization of payment taken while checking in. Many hotels better than this don't do this.

It's a very good hotel. Newly come up… Rooms are luxurious. Went to meet a friend inside and the ambience is too good. However backside of the hotel is a bit poorly maintained. But overall a great stay :)

We stayed here in Jun 2013 for two days with family and friends. The hospitality is great. Its conveniently located next to the airport. The food and other facilities that comes in standard five star hotel are all there. Its an oval/round shaped structure where standing in a balcony of your room, you can get the entire 360 degree view of the entire hotel. (Refer to the pix attached) Highly recommended to enjoy the Indian hospitality. Room service is good and the quality of rooms are excellent. Go for it!

February 2015. Very good hotel for India!
Flew to Mumbai and right outside the airport 5 star hotel, need no taxi, left the airport and 200 m walk has passed. Very helpful staff. The rooms are unusual, the entire design of the hotel is peculiar, not habitual, well done. Very large in area, here all under one roof. Very cool balconies. The bathroom and shower from the room are separated only by transparent glass, but if necessary-you can omit the blinds. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely return again!

Near the airport. Plenty of food for breakfast.
Minus. The evening is quite noisy because of the music from the restaurant.

Striking property! Just outside the Mumbai ATC. The hotel is very well designed and has good restaurants which serves great food. This hotel is very different from a normal hotel as its an indoor stadium like structure.

Highly intrusive staff that rings the bell twice-thrice without pause, attempting to open door and knocks, all within a matter of 10 seconds. First staff person came to check the bar, did the above mentioned. Another staff person came right after 10 minutes to do the same (for no reason) then another one came asking if I need any service. If I need any kind of cleaning service or any service at all, I will call room service. There is a reason why the telephone is in my room. All this happened within the very first hour of my arrival when I just wanted to sleep. Secondly, there was no shower gel in the container. The prices are extorntionate even for a 5 star. I ordered for 2 cans of pepsi that costs 25 INR and was charged 350 INR for 1 can including service charge, VAT AND SBC (700 for 2). I can buy 28 (versus 2) cans for this price.

Small yet well done up rooms… there is a lot of difference between newly opened rooms and the older ones so insist on new ones. Also insist on rooms nearer to lift lobby otherwise be ready to walk really long… cuz due to stupid architectural design this round hotel has only one lift lobby.

The rooms in the indoor ring have a balcony that overlooks everything. I'm not sure the outdoor rooms have one. The restaurants are a bit pricey, but have great food and good atmosphere. I especially live the giant aquarium with some large and exotic fish right next to the tables. The pool is not heated, nor are the Jacuzzi areas, so it's better to use during the day. It closes at 9pm anyhow. Also avail yourself to the changing rooms at the pool as you have to walk through the dining room to get to the pool area. The pool has no deep end and is a consistent 4.5ft deep. The rooms are spacious and have quite swanky controls for lighting as well as for raising and lowering the shade into the bathroom/tub area. Overall I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. The staff is incredibly friendly and assisted me with everything from currency exchange to booking a car and driver for 8hrs to getting me a local SIM card.

Good food. But the room service was not at all good. AC and refrigerator both were not working properly. But the hotel is so very beautiful. Pool fun was the best time. :)

Being from the industry where I have to travel every now & then… But coming to Hotel Sahara star make me feel at home away from home their servtheir food & specially their staff… I must say if ull not have not stayed at sahara star ull have missed the actual meaning of hospitality… Thank you to team Sahara for always being so humble & cooperative in all the manners… Thank you to the GM of the hotel Mr Rajesh Mohan for ur personal touch always & Mr Darshan who is always there 24/7 to with a big smile… Thank you once again December 2015

Excellent ambiance, very near to the airport. Good spread for buffet dinner.

Food was good. gave car in valley parking… After moving out from hotel some hissing sound appears on moving the steering of the wheel right & left which was not there before. Though it was nt damage anywhere on the body… but seems your driver r driving rough. though the exact reason would be known after showing it in showroom… so please look into it… N no more harm to any of the vehicles in future…

Nice food, perfect ambience.

Its a nice place, Service and food are really nice and taste. Staying for 3 nights was comfortable and great service except the room. The room where I put up was not up to the mark. Bathroom water never drain which makes the whole stay annoying.

Went for a buffet dinner at the Earth Plate restaurant. The spread was good but the options felt a bit disconnected. There were a lot of Mediterranean options that night and the food was tasty. Was slightly disappointed with the appetizers and also felt the main course could have been a bit more elaborate. Desserts were the saving grace.

Had gone to their Asian restaurant E. A. S. T. For dinner tonight, with the wife and a friend. The ambiance of the restaurant was classy, the food was exemplary, and I also found the staff very well-spoken and polite. Extra brownie points for the super eager and helpful valet.

It's quite okay actually, great ambiance though there is very less variety and the main-course menu doesn't really make any sense at all.

Awsome place to live in I would love to try the sahara suite next time.
