Gandhinagar is a planned city located in the state of Gujarat, in the western region of India. It serves as the capital of Gujarat and is situated approximately 23 kilometers north of the city of Ahmedabad. Named after Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, Gandhinagar is known for its well-organized infrastructure and serene environment. As a planned city, Gandhinagar was designed by the famous architect H.K. Mewada in the 1960s. The city follows a grid-like pattern with wide roads, spacious residential areas, and ample green spaces. It is divided into 30 sectors, each with its own shopping centers, schools, parks, and other amenities.
