The homestay was a harrowing experience for all of us retired bunch of ladies. As the program was made without much planning, the homestay was booked by us without going through the prior reviews.
I felt the annoyance of the owner, when he found out that we've a vehicle from Siliguri, and not going to use any cab arranged by him. Our every query become negative. He gave us a list of places to visit but told us that our driver won't be allowed as he was not local.
He advertised availability of parking but there's none. As a result we faced constant problem.
Next day morning, we found that we're locked inside, till 7-15am as the main shutter was closed and no one around to open it, not even a bell. When asked in the evening the owner rudely told us that the shutter remains closed till 7am, and so we can't go for a morning walk or sightseeing. His rules to be followed.
I am not going to suggest any of my friends to stay here. Rooms are small, no furniture except the bed and a withered Almirah.
Bathrooms dirty. They don't even clean the rooms daily. Very bitter experience!
It was the worst experience for me and my friends, we travel extensively but have never come across such rude and boorish behaviour of the persons running this place which is pathetic with small dingy, dirty rooms.
No facilities to have a comfortable stay exists and even an iron for clothes could not be provided when requested. Breakfast was of very low quality with no choice or variety.
Highly shocking was that at night they keep the guests confined inside the homestay till 7AM by locking all the exits with no person at the reception or elsewhere to open the doors, when we told the staff that we needed to go at 6.30 am they very arrogantly told us that the doors to go out of the homestay would not be opened before 7 AM.
In case of any emergency, natural disaster, fire, accident I shudder to think what will be the plight of the hapless guests.
I do not recommend that anyone should ever stay in such a place. Instead of giving respect and proper service to their guests all they care about is themselves.

It was a worst ever experience for us.
No table or stand was provided to keep our boxes. The Rooms were not cleaned daily.
No kettle, tea bags were provided. We had to wait for the staff to wake up and make a cup of tea for us in the morning. We had to pay for the water bottles also.
In the bathroom, there was hardly enough hook or Bar to keep our clothes while going for bath. The bathroom window did not have an opaque glass or a curtain.
One of our friend asked for an Iron to iron her clothes. But it was rudely refused by the staff. She was asked to send her clothes with our driver for ironing it outside. It may be mentioned here that no one asked the hotel staff to iron our clothes as alleged by the owner.
And the worst part was the arrogance and rude behaviour of the staff. It was as if we were allowed to stay there at their mercy.
I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.
