Olives has all the comforts of a luxury hotel room combined with a homely feel and food. We stayed there on a family vacation and couldn’t ask for better property to spend our time to unwind and relax. The owners cum host go a great distance to make the stay memorable with their hospitality nature and human touch. The Olives is friendly for family with kids (irrespective of age) as there are activities within like swimming pool, badminton court, basketball court, children play area, library & plenty of space as sit out to while away your time in the serene surroundings. All in all a complete package.

Hospitality — The Olives' experience was fantastic — mainly because of their hospitality and warmth — Live up to the meaning of a 'home away from home' and gave a very homely feeling.
Rooms infrastructure — they have a great design and convenience of well-furnished rooms.
Rooms service — is prompt with extremely polite and congenial staff.
Food — Breakfast and dinner are also served. So one needs to scout only for lunch. Good quality in-house prepared food.
Ambience — very well-maintained gardens with soft music. There is also a badminton area and a swimming pool.
Overall a highly recommended place to stay.

Olives was a fantastic stay! The rooms were big and comfy, perfect for relaxing after exploring Wayanad. But the best part was the family who runs the place. They were all so friendly and helpful, treating us like guests in their own home. They even answered all our questions about sightseeing and helped us plan our trip!
The food was amazing too. They offered a variety of healthy and delicious dishes, with something for everyone. We were so impressed, we already can't wait to go back in the winter season! Highly recommend this place!

Olives was fantastic! The rooms were big and comfy, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. But the best part was the staff! The owners, their family, and everyone working there were all so friendly and welcoming. They really made us feel at home.
They even helped us plan our trip by suggesting great tourist spots – like hidden gems we wouldn't have found on our own! The food was amazing too. They had a variety of delicious dishes, all healthy and fresh. We can't wait to go back in the winter season and experience Olives again!

Highly recommend this place to anyone who is touring Wayanad. Every room has breath taking view and family there provide you with delicious homemade meals. Best would be to forget your phone and enjoy the various amenities such as swimming, badminton, carroms, reading books etc.

Excellent Resort, I would provide more than 5 for this. Resort is nearby to kalpetta and GPRS shows the exact location to reach resort without any confusion. Food is awesome Biju Thomas were so friendly where you can feel like staying with a family. I would suggest all to prefer this if you are planning to kalpetta. Best for both families and couples.

We had a wonderful experience at olives home stay, though it may feel little over priced, but we were satisfied with the food and hospitality by the resort owner.

I had the opportunity to stay at Olives few years back. This trip was arranged through Hammock Holidays and they provided complete details of the places to see in Wayanad and the route map and I should say they were pretty accurate. We left Bangalore at 5.15AM and reached there by about 12. Since we had time, we thought of seeing Edakkal Caves and Soojipara Falls before checking in. Both these places were good. Details of the same will be put in the respective reviews. We had dinner on both the days at Olives which was awesome. The reviews my wife read about the food at this place were true. If you stay here, eat here is all I can say. Mr. Biju and Ms. Raji were very hospitable and accomodating during our stay there. Staying here completely changed my views of a homestay! Wonderful experience. Room Tip: Room with the balcony has a wonderful view of the Sunrise.

Hi everyone… It's been a while I stayed in olives homestay. And this is worth sharing… I had a wonderful experience staying over there. Even if we were the only family staying there… It was an off season I guess… and we didn't know that. But they made 5 different dishes everyday both lunch and dinner. That too finger licking good… Who takes so much pain for just one family… This shows their hard work and dedication to stay on no. 1 homestay among others. And the owners are one of the humble couple I have ever met and they don't mind it serving you from their own hands. This is the warmth that attracts you to visit that place again… The staff is so polite… Room Interiors have urban look. It was so silent and serene. You can actually hear the birds chirping… It's in the city not that far… You must visit olives once in your lifetime.

If you are looking for a stay in Wayanad, look for nothing beyond Olives Homestay. This place is probably the best in the locality. It is within the main town and is easily accessible. Very well maintained place. They have very nice rooms. The view during night time is very beautiful. They have a library where you could read books. They have indoor games like chess and carrom. They also have shuttle cock to play. The owners of the property are very friendly and accommodative. I liked this place very much on the whole.

RELAXING! This is what we felt staying over here for two nights (29th and 30th Jan-2016). We were greeted very well and taken care all along our stay. The main highlights are the owner family, food and the beautifully designed rooms. Variety of food and authentically local. They provide you the comforts and guide you what are the best places to visit and best places to shop!. Rooms are so nice, spacious and ambiance is awesome. Definitely would like to come back to this place for another memorable stay.

My Last Minute booking suprised me with lots of lovely memories provided by Mr. Biju and Mrs. Raji and a nice place to go back again and spend more time to relax. Tasty Home made food by Mrs. Raji, Ideas and suggestions from Mr. Biju about the attractions at Wayanad, Safe, secured and feels like you have joined a new family, Awsome location, indoor games, batminton, excellent scenaries, quality interiors and a non-snoozable rooster (Cock) You must stay here atleast once when you are in Wayanad.

Hi Biju, It has been a delay for writing this review but we don’t forget the place where our new married life have kick started. When we had chosen wayanad as our honeymoon destination, lot of places we had gone through but we found the best of course OLIVES HOMESTAY. My husband was really surprised during the whole stay as it was my choice to select yours stays. I can say hospitality no one can beat you guys. Really you are helping the guest in such a way that they should remember the stay forever. About Rooms: As I preferred Room with Mountain View in 1st floor really satisfied for that comfortness. Jacuzzi is well maintained. Each room is designed with such creativity. Lights on the top of bed is too good which I have never seen anywhere. Bathroom with herbal shampoos and soap kits are neatly maintained. Fruit basket, Cake, Tea and snacks are yummy. Library with good books is such a good advantage for readers. Dining place makes us feel that we are eating such an awesome food in lap of nature. Chess Area, Candle light dinner, Honeymoon Cake are note worthy. Relaxation Area for Playing and Tree house is good. The way to Oliveshomestay is nearer to kalpetta town so shopping we found was easy. About Biju: Not just for an review, really one of the very good person I have met in my life. From the beginning of our stay to the ending, really you are ensuring us in all the ways. Your passion for Hotel management reflects in each room design and uniqueness.

The ROOMS and FOOD are too good. Olives homestay is very worth for every penny you are spending. Mr. Biju Thomas and his family made our trip more than a vacation. We felt like staying in our own home. They become our family now. If you want to visit Wayanad don't visit or view any other hotels just go for Olives homestay they will definitely make your trip pleasant and memorable. I along with my family visited Wayanad and stayed in Olives Homestay. Olives Home stay is one of the very good places to stay there as family. Following are the good things about it. Calm and Quite location, very good view, spacious room as husband and wife with two children can stay together, Center of all other locations where you want to go and visit, Near to the market place for shopping. Above all, the owner of Olives Mr. Biju, his wife and their two lovely kids treated us as their true guest at home. Mr. Biju extended all the helps whatever a new person in Wayanad would require from finding the roads till reaching a specific shop. The food and preparation was outstanding with many varieties. In nutshell, It was a good choice and a wonderful place to stay in Wayanad for our family.
