I have to say I was unimpressed by our stay, the location was very inconvenient in all regards, particularly as the local tuk-tuk drivers routinely had no idea where the place is… and you need a tuk-tuk to get anywhere from this place.
The door to the apartment does not lock and even closing the door can be a challenge (it is so skewed), so not feeling good about leaving belongings in an unlocked apartment in a foreign country…
On top of this we had a CANNON firing at 4:00AM on the hour every EFFING morning! Earplugs do not let you sleep when a cannon is involved – we moved as soon as we could find somewhere else to stay, and the jerks stiffed us out of a days rent to top everything off – DO NOT STAY HERE!
Great place to hangout. Very near to the beach, surfing and ayurvedic massages are available at walkable distance.

I stayed there in feb 2018. Aircon didn't work but we were charged for it. Noise from near temple would not let us rest night or day: cannon starts firing at 4 am every hour, loud music and talks through temple's loudspeakers. The apartment door lock didn't work and we had to leave it unlocked, which is not safe. Also supposedly there should be fridge in the apartment, but it was at the staff's location and you have to share it. The room in which I stayed didn't have any hot water. This place is quite away from central beach and cliff area — this is where all cafeterias, stalls, and other events happen to be and you want to be part of it. We had to take tuk-tuk all the time to go there and back, but often tuk-tuk would refuse to take us back to apartment because the road is to steep to drive and we had to walk exhausted. Also we were charged for the day we didn't stay there just because we booked that day, the owner was not much agreeable to negotiate the price even though it was low season and that place was literally empty.
