This place is just amazing! Owners Adel and Ulli and the staff put so much of their love and dedication into this wonderful hotel you can actually feel it. The rooms are immaculate, the artwork all over the buildings is inspirational, the balcony is huge and gives you a great view over the garden and great chance to spot all sorts of animals. And then there is the pool area that is very relaxing and the mouthwatering breakfast, with home made cheese, peanut butter, jams, bread. I can go on and on. Simply awesome. Just wished I could have stayed longer. ❤️

This amazing place, Chrissie's Hotel, is all about respect for each other as a human being, regardless religion, beliefs or gender. The places is full of arts all over, each room is unique and so special, the food is fresh and very tasty and the staff are happy and helpful! And all of this surrounding by nature — many different animals and plants!

Thank you Adel and all of your wonderful team for the amazing experience. From making sure we had those 3rd floor-with-a-view rooms to the amazing efficiency with which they helped us organize our days or open a bottle of wine on the random, the service was flawless through and through. Also rooms were cute and squeaky clean. Thank you again for everything and all the best to you guys!

Lovely place with good detailing. No white bedsheets here… instead you get ones with patterns. The tiny pool at top has a great view. The walls are colourful. The breakfast spread is varied fresh n fulfilling. The garden attract a variety of fauna. They have a tripod in the garden for photographers to use. These details matter.

It's a nice place. We were treated very well, the staff is very friendly. The rooms are in a building inside the jungle, you may get to see monkeys jumping around the trees too. On the minus side I can say that the rooms are very humid, if you need to dry something forget it, and the beds are very hard.

Excellent behaviour from the staff. Neat room decorated with wall paintings and murals. Though it's is hardly 150 metres from the city bus stand, you get a relaxed/scenic atmosphere as it in the middle of a plantation.

This place is a little piece of heaven. So positive and beautiful, that you don't want to leave. :) Don't miss it if you're nearby. I had a wonderful time, thank you for everything.

The best place to thekkady. Being a solo Traveller been staying a lot of. Places. But this place tops in my charts coz it's a home away from home. With beautiful smiles n warm welcome from the staff n owner. And yeah amazing food, roof top pool and every room beautiful decorated with an amazing garden view from balcony. It's a must stay place no wonder they rate so much high on many travel sites.

What an amazing find! My wife and I spent just over a week here and it is perfect. Excellent staff and the owner is very helpful and always on hand. The breakfast is fantastic — the rooms are beautiful with unique art work on the walls — it even has a pool on the roof! We would definitely recommend this place and would stay again.

Lovely run hotel in Kumily. Great comfortable rooms and yoga hall with an amazing view. The best yet, the pool on the rooftop. I will definitely come back to Chrissie's!

Though I Have stayed in many hotels, Chrissie's hotel is one of my top fav. Places. With an amazing view from the balcony of every room and OMG! the art work done by fellow travelers covering every part of this hotel, is something to watch out for. And yes! the pool on the roof top overlooking the sanctuary is one of a kind experience. Hospitality get 5 star ratings. Chrissie's hotel is indeed a home away from home.

Clean rooms. Great breakfast spread with home made jams, home made cheeses and their home made peanut butter is awesome. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Very close to the entrance to the Periyar Tiger Reserve and the bus stand.

This place was a great find. Incredible staff and owners, fantastic breakfast with loads of homemade stuff, fresh fruit and teas & coffees. Great location close to shops and restaurants — down a quiet side street opposite a coffee plantation. The rooftop area and pool is an ideal place to unwind.

Amazing place to stay — the most welcoming and helpful host I've ever experienced. The room, gardens and pool were beautiful and and the homemade breakfast was delicious — sad to leave!

Absolutely fabulous afternoon spent at Chrissie’s. We were invited to use the pool (we were not residents) up on the roof top. Best filter coffee you’ll find in Kumily. Great value for money lunches with a view to die for! Thank you for the warm welcome. Highly recommended for a paradise set back from the busy Kumily streets.

The place is small and quaint. But not good for huge groups. And it is open only till 6 in the evening.

This is a beautiful hotel admist nature. Just wanted to stay here more. Hotel has the best food, swimming pool, rooms everything awesome. Owner has preserved nature with rarest variety of trees, flowers and painting. I would always want to revisit this hotel.

There is no better place is kumily or the surrounding areas I guarantee it! The owner and staff are the friendliest in India and make the place a home away from home. Best breakfast ever all prepared fresh every morning! So much beautiful artwork everywhere, each room is totally unique and super comfortable. The rooftop pool and terrace is an awesome place to relax and so much wildlife around. Couldn't be happier with Chrissie's, thank you guys for such a wonderful time, you have made our trip so special!

I so enjoyed my stay there! I was part of a 3-week yoga retreat in November 2017 and in that time got to feel like it was home away from home. Hospitality was 5-star goodness. Amazing family of staff that would do anything to make our stay more comfortable… Not sure that was possible! All our wishes were granted. Excellent food, facilities, and fun-provision. I highly recommend Chrissie's for a short or long-term stay.

A magical place in the jungle but a close enough walk to the bus stop ✨ Amazing staff, fantastic rooms, with a fabulous balcony or porch, and original artwork all around! ✨✨Don’t miss it!

Superb Hotel … Service is Good… food is good. The owner nature is very friendly. Nice experience.

Pros : + Market and other necessary shops are on walkable distance + Great location and nice ambiance (Every room has a balcony and Birds wake you up by their chirping ☺️, You can have morning walk in coffee plantations) + Kind and helpful hotel staff + Delicious breakfast + Creative and artistic interior Cons : — Mosquitoes (They provide Mosquito repellent machines in each room) — No hot water in bathrooms — No AC or TV (But you do get nice garden with box of books to read) It's not much like a star hotels but it's great place to stay for nature and art lovers.

Abit pricy compared to other options nearby, but the food is great! The falafel-Tabouleh salad-baba ganush plate is yummy (abit small though).

Best hotel for the view in Thekkady very nice view and food and also the room the staff is very good and catered to us very well enjoyed staying at that hotel.

The best place to be in Thekkady! The owners are very courteous, and we had a great chat with them. The location is awesome. Very serene.

We went a very interesting round-trip and we were a voucher to an other hotel in Thekkady, but the road was closed. So, we get an option here and we accepted it. It was a very good decision. The place is very interesting with a lovely little garden. The rooms and their terraces are very good. Comfortable the bed. Everything absolutely normal, AND have an incredible kind and careful owner.

Warm and friendly welcome, the staff are friendly (the receptionist pulled his car so that we could park our motorcycles).
My budget doesn't allow me a room at garden level, but it was already very good.
Room clean and excellent bedding that changes us from the Indian standards.
Effort on the quality of the bed linen. Own bathroom, hot water in the shower and not only to the tub. Towels and SOAP provided.
Small terrace with rattan furniture and view on the lush vegetation of the garden (think of the mosquito repellent lotion).
Fast and economical laundry service.
The hotel has a rooftop restaurant and a sitting area with coffee table and colored cushions. It is possible to consume beer.

Very cute little hotel and restaurant nestled in thick greenery making it a great getaway. Short walk from the bus stand and the city centre. The place has a great soul thanks to the folks who run this place — Adel & Ulli. Clean and comfortable rooms — the fact that each comes with a nice balcony with cane furniture is fantastic. And they have morning yoga classes and a yoga studio! Also access to great food at the attached restaurant including Italian, Middle Eastern & Indian. I especially liked the rooftop dining, and the occasional monkey sighting :). Highly recommend!

Perfect place for couples travelling on a budget. Its well connected to the market. Staff is friendly n courteous. Rooms r clean n quite. If u wanna relax. This is the place to Be.
