Nice place to be in with a serene nature at your doorsteps. Rooms are below than ok and overpriced, but the service and dedication level of the staff helps to overcome the shortcomings.

I visited this property first time, its fabulous and amazing experience in my life. Really it's amazing no words to say. The river view I didn't see anywhere in the world. I suggest everyone to visit once and share your experience.

Hi Arun, we appreciate the kind and warm hospitality extended towards us last Sunday. Very silent /scenic forest backdrop with River front and yet very close to the main road at Kallar. The cottage was well furnished with a cosy environment. As Arun said we had to stay overnight to really unwind ourselves (Scuba divling) on this island resort with chirpping bird wake up call in the morning. If everything goes fine I want to be a repeated guest at his resort… Honey which I took was great… Very proud to have a classmate with an exquisite hospitality outlook. Everything from welcome to bye bye. Smiling faces all over the resort. Extending hands for each and every necessity I would need. food excellent. So many varieties. Literally started having digestion issue due to tasting each and every variety on the menu Location brilliant. Rooms were cosy and comfortable. Excellent location. Such a nice location. Fantastic views especially in between rains. Trip to Ponmudi here is not far away and very heartening for the soul.

Set in a beautiful location, River County is the perfect place to relax. The food was delicious, with lots to choose from. The staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. They recommended different things for us to do in the area, allowing us to see the best of Kerala.

We had a great time at River County. The hospitality was excellent and the food was delicious, with a wide variety of local choices available. You can cut yourself off from the bustle of city life and enjoy the serenity of the wildlife. Highlight for me was watching the fireflies from the balcony of my room in the evening! Amazing location, peaceful if you're looking to take some time off from your busy schedule, staff was courteous, rooms were average, food was really good. Off season rates would be extremely competitive if negotiated well. Definitely a place to visit.

One of the best hotels near to ponmudi. Famous for live fish. Change room is available. Tasty nadan meals. All kind of non-vegetarian food availability. Hope you will surely have a good time. Good to go for a hang out with family and friends. Kid friendly.

Place was beautiful. Restaurant is on roadside. Car park is done here. Around 3 vehicles can be parked. The resort is a bit more further and is connected by a bridge. Only people can pass through the bridge, no vehicles. Staff was friendly but a bit intrusive. Room is great looking at first but upon closer inspection there were hairs on the side of the bathroom tiles and the room was not aired properly. The curtains were flimsy and see through. Terrible sound transference, could not even sleep properly at night. There are supposed to be women staff at night but none were seen. Heater was on when we first entered the place and one of the staff asked me why it was on. When asked for hot water in a flask, it was given back with soapy hot water. Hesitant to give receipt for the stay.

All together — an ideal spot for relaxing. A calm and quiet place. Staffs were very friendly/caring and you can also experience adventurous activities — well known instructors to guide you. Finally, Enjoyed the river & the food — especially the live Barbeque.

We were a group of 7. We booked rooms for one night we enjoyed a lot. This trip we will remember throughout our life time. The food was tasty. The attraction was the campfire we enjoyed a lot. The team of the resort including the owner was really helpful, all with smiling faces. Thanks a lot Mr Arun and all the staffs.

Lovely place to chill out in Kallar. Not very far from the short trek through the forest reserve to the waterfalls. River County has its own waterfront with crystal clear flowing water. Refreshing and rejuvenating. Thier buildings blend very well with the ambient surroundings, food is good, rooms are basic, service is friendly and easy on the pocket.

This was my first trip to River County. The place was serene, calm, peaceful with a stream flowing by the side. Staff and their hospitality was commendable. Food was finger licking good. All in all it was home away from home.

Calm and quiet place. Customer friendly. Greenish surroundings, must come more again. The main attraction is tent camp and live barbiq and live fish also. I liked it and the service was fast and the people where hardworking,

Cleanliness… Good courtesy of staff as well as owner… Hygenic rooms and total atmosphere no words to say.

The rooms need a lot repairs. Doors, windows don't close properly. Charges are little higher for this type of facility. People are very nice and polite. There are ants crawling all over. Needs renovations through out.

Had a rather harrowing experience in this hotel last year. Opted for this seeing the indoor pool advertisement. And it was non functional. They asked us our choice for breakfast a day prior and served something else they could get from the nearby shacks. The room bearer, if u can call the Bengali boy that, was never available on shouting out many a times during power failure. And was totally discourteous sitting with his legs on the table even when guests were around. Go see for yourself the present conditions before u book.

River County is an amazing place. We went there as a team. It is a very safe place for ladies and a good spot for night out as well, if you are a nature lover. The food, staff and the premises were awesome. We will definitely visit thehe place again.

The great resort which we can sit with some fresh grape wine and cheese and enjoy the sound of the river with a plenty of good fresh oxygen air.

Excellent location great ambience the blessed place in Trivandrum for adventure sports but need more rooms thanks for your kind careness and food.

River country is one of the finest resort in Trivandrum which serve hundred percent homely food it is like heaven in the forest thank you to all the staffs who server our group to make it a wonderful celebration.

So pure. And the private stream… Full of pebbles. Shallow clear waters. Should visit Mr. Arun and his team at least once in our life time at River County, kallaar, ponmudi… Value for money, natural atmosphere real nature of a forest, and the taste of foods they offered will take me and my friends regularly. I visited this week and had booked 7 rooms due to a big group. I think manager who spoke to me gave a discount and provided all the details. It was a nice locality and decent food. Service was really very good and any request they do with a smile. Only problem is the network. At least Airtel doesn't work. I would strongly recommend for a big family or group of families to have a fun and relaxed time.

This is my third visit to river county… Every time I visit there is something new development in the property… I always felt very homely here… staff are very courteous and always there for personalized service.

It's a nice resort. The main thing is the Ambiance. It is super and wordless. The resort and the staff are not like as a five star manner. Just used for a calm Stay. The resort is situated middle of the Kallar River. That make the ambiances Fabulous. The one day cost of the resort is too much per person compared to the Facility. Nice place to visit with a group of Chunk Brozzzzzzzzzzzzz …

Well Maintained resort at the bank of the river, filled with scenic views and nature. Trouble finding network here but free Wi-Fi available in the resort.

It's a kind of average hotel with some elements of ambience of a resort. Staff are not at all trained and picked locally. You won't be addressed by anyone if u hv a complaint. If you want a roof above you just go for it. The positive thing is that it is near a small river.

Nice place to stay near Ponmudi. The facilities are are good, staff and services are very helpful. This place is on the river side and we can swim and enjoy there.

We were fortunate to stay as a family on 4th May 2017 and it was a great experience to stay in a resort located at natures lap surrounded by water streams from the hill and dense forest. It was a unique experience which I recommend every body to experience. Real value for money. The food and team hospitality is too good which makes you more comfortable. Very good place for group picnic as in the night fire camp and open air barbecue is arranged.

Best trip in our farewelltimes# last time together## Food was awesome. That bridge and Kallar river was superb. We njoyed a lot.

The place is really great. Surrounded by river on two sides. Their restaurant is on the side of road and they served all meals for a day which was included in the money we paid. And they provided accommodations in two places. One is nearby do which one have to walk across a small bridge over the river. And they provide you with either rooms or staying in tent under the tree option. Staying in the tent should be great for gents and I don't know about the safety for girls…

The real river experience! While we walked into the resort premises, it started raining heavily and the Kallar was a view, inexplicable. Surrounded by Kallar on three sides, a wild forest on the backyard, River county is an experience! And the staff there was so friendly and supportive. Will never forget the stay. And miss not their special barbecue.

Very calm and quiet resort. Homely food. Adventure activities and very eco friendly. Stayed there for more than 5 times.
