It's awesome stay. Good location fantastic restorent.

Nice property, but there is no clean maintenance. No play area at all for kids. Food was of ok taste, but costly. Morng buffet was of ok level. Though rooms were clean, the condition of curtains were not good. Wash area in the restaurant was very pathetic. Over all nice location really really into woods. Still should improve the service. In our room the TV was not at all workin, the phone partly working condition. No plus to be mentioned other than the location.

Excellent property with a wonderful ambience… feeling sad that we were there only for a night… hopefully be there for more days…

The Deepwoods resort is an awesome place, so close to nature. Facilities and the services are exellent. When you are in the resort, you will forget about the world and enjoy your stay. You will enjoy if you take a walk through the near by places and small water fall and stream within the resort close to deep forest. Good restaurants and room services available at your convenience, the staff are very professional and dedicated. Wi-Fi facility available for free at the restaurant. The care takers are available at each villa to take care of you 24/7. The restaurants are up to the standard, neat and clean. Staff are extremely good and take good care of your requirements.

Beautiful remote area. Be prepared to drive up hilly terrain to get to the lodges tucked into the hills. Murukesan The operations manager was very hospitable and ran the restaurant very well. Food was excellent and fresh. Enjoyed the scenic walks from our lodge to the restaurant. Be prepared for cool weather if going in December. Will need warm clothing for sleeping and a jacket in the morning. Had some difficulty with getting hot water for showering at times but there was an assigned individual to help us and we should have known to reach out to him for assistance more often. The lodges come with 2 indivuals to help you with any concerns you may have and they washed our clothing as well which was also so very helpful. If you have elderly travellers or those with difficulty mobility then this may not be the place for you. If you enjoy walking, listening to birds, seeing beautiful flowers and being away from the busy streets, then you will enjoy this place.

Service is good. Place is very wet. Although outside is wet there should be room heaters but it's not there. Rooms costly and not as good as the money spend.

Me and my friends had a wonderful weekend here. The ambience here is picture perfect. The service is of top quality. Food is also great. We got a separate villa with all the amenities. And we absolutely loved the view from our balcony and we got full privacy. Thats all what we wanted :D Thank you for giving us a wonderful experience.

As the name suggests the resort id deep inside the woods providing great ambience and a beautiful scenery. The food services needs some improvement but other than that the service was good. Can recommend to people.

Location is good. Just like staying in the forest. Rooms are good.

Good place in the middle of the forest… Okay food. And rooms were not clean. And it stinks very badly… When complained to the reception they said it is due to the weather that the bed spreads and pillows are wet… 2000 per person. For one night stay.

Their reservation is in Kochi and hotel is in Munnar, but there is no coordination between the two. I made the reservation and they confirmed the booking for a four bedroom cottage. When I went there with my family the resort receptionist conveyed to us that there is no booking in my name. People go to these kind of place to enjoy, but these people screwed it completely. Finally they gave normal rooms and also they charged for the breakfast. Unfortunately there was no option for us. The food cost is too high and the spread is so poor. The property is 11km from the town and no other option for food.

Prime location. There is floating restaurant. Good is good. According to the location we expect a seafood variety but that was not there. As usual location is little bit remote as usual. It's a best place for relegation. There is swimming pool and a Spa. The best attraction is the Fun time. This can be enjoyed by any age group.

Very beautiful hotel. In first instance of reaching this place we were afraid of the location being very remote. But after a day we got used to the place and started actually to enjoy the place. Picturesque restaurant and good food. Nice and friendly staff. Though very far from the actual Munnar, but a good place to be there.

Amazing place, great manager… Every employee is very friendly and nice. You will take away a never forgetting experience of watching wild elephants walking beside your rooms. It's wonderful.

Waste resort. Break fast good. But lunch and dinner too much cost n taste is bad. And reception guys playing politics and very cunning and cheap mentalities they have. But house keeping are excellent. Kept rooms very neatly. Very long to munnar. So many insects came into the room. It's not safety place for kids.

Amazing hotel! Away from munnar around 5 km, based inside farm. Munnar to hotel road is amazing as one can see the tea plantation everywhere. Restaurant is also nice, breakfast and dinner is also nice. Hotel is having very good scenery all around so it's very cold during winter. Rooms are pretty big and nice. One should definitely try this hotel if he visit Munnar. Good stay!

Very interior from City. Inside Lakshmi tea estate. I have stayed there for 2 days. Worst customer care and room service. Mobile network coverage will not be there in that forest area. Inside the rooms also, landline is not working… When enquired to room service about landline repair, she simply responded as, it is repair for long time and cannot be repaired. 3 star rating for the hotel is toooo much. Not worth for money paid.

As the name says the resort is inside the woods. There is a draw back no network but for me it was happy because there was on one available to trouble me. I have enjoyed a lots. I have explored the estate by trekking on my 4x4. The swimming pool was awesome its was really freezing. Me and my friends enjoyed it a lots. Food is so good. Rooms are good and neat. Staffs are always at our service. And the owner of the resort (james luke) who care of our stay and everything. Camp fire and bbq was awesome for the climate (night)

Awesome weekend at Elixir Hills, Pulimoottil estates. Great cottage, awesome food and staff. Explore the estate by trekking or on a 4x4 (if you have one) Enjoy the chilling nights beside a campfire and barbecue (provided on request). Worth every penny you spend.

As the name suggest it's a resort located inside a tropical forest. Abeautiful and tranquil holiday destination. Have a nice restaurant. They do provide campfire and BBQ. The only negative is that it's a bit far from the city center and all the main tourist attractions and access road is not in great condition. This is a cash only facility and they don't accept cards.

I and my friends stayed there few weeks ago and it simply an awesome stay… It was so relaxing from all the dust and noice from the cities… As the name says the resort is inside the woods and it feels as if we r the forest… Rooms were neat… Staff were very kind… Food was excellent… One small draw back is there was mobile signal or internet… But I was happy with it because there was no one available to trouble me and it was peaceful… But if u think u should need mobile signal u would find it tough… over all it was an awesome stay and trip…

Resort ambience everything is same like forest… very nice food … restuarent is above average… only thong reAching this resort is little difficult as it is little far from the city… and the road towards this resort is very bad… but overalll the resort is good for the money we are paying.

The resort was so perfect. Whether it were the rooms or the amazing hilltop location surrounded by woods and trees or the stunning pool overlooking the woods the birds singing out loud to u or was it the amazing buffet or the service by the staff at the restuarant or the amazing hospitality and personal attention into all aspects by the owner Mr James and a special mention to Mr Cleytus who was like a family member running around managing and servicing all guests so well. I m surely going to go back again and will reccommend the place to all my friends too.

Everything! Everything from the location, to the service, to the view to the stay, is fantastic! A total disconnect from the mundane world, to remind how powerful yet serene mother nature is! Loved it. Specially, the Elixir Hills. Amazing hospitality and superb stay.

As name says it is really in Forest. Visitors can enjoy their privacy and a good place for relaxation. Their is one small water fall present in the resort. Only negative is, as it is far from main City it will take some little extra time to reach main City or some other tourist spots.

Deep Woods! One name which I can't take off my mind. The name itself says everything. You would see all the cottages situated in the deep, into the forests. You would really enjoy the nature and experience. Highly Recommended.

Best place awesome food, roads are not good to reach hotel and no network.

It's out of the way, but a beautiful location. Cottages, depend on your luck… We saw some well maintained cottages but we got stuck with one which was poorly maintained. It was supposedly a three bedroom cottage, but turned out to be two bedroom on top with attached bathroom and one bedroom downstairs (more like a helper room/ support staff room) with a bathroom near the kitchen. This portion was very poorly maintained. The view from the upstairs balcony is blocked by some new construction… Overall we were very disappointed with the cottages. Though we liked the location.

Very far from town and not accessible during night times. Frequent power cuts and no proper room service. If you want a quite place without any disturbance. Go for it.

Horrible service, no credit card, only accept cash. Middle of no where, so even if you don't like the food at dinner, there is no option to go out. Do not replace towels or provide one extra. No refrigerator so forget about getting ice or chilled water.

Quiet place, good rooms, no connectivity In rooms or not working properly. Like wi fi or intercom. Room charges was good but they charge 2500 for camp fire! Food is good but I wonder why they serve bad tasting or old sambar at 8am! Over all I am happy.

As the name sounds, it is indeed too inside the city and you breath fresh air coupled with all basic/ luxury amenities expected from a resort of this category. Depends on the customer if he is ready to experiment and stay away from city noise and traffic, but, does that mean its the most well built and serviced, the answer is may be. Lets start with infrastructure, it is relaxing and exhausting at the same time, relaxing due to nice and quiet environment and exhausting because resort itself engulfs so many steep heights that you will have to rely on their vehicle to ferry you to the restaurant or any other place within their long stretched property. Now, Food and service which is where things start crumbling up. Quality and taste are not at all satisfactory and most possible cause could be lack of staff as understood from the higher management. The only saviour was the middle management which somehow tried best to ensure guests had a relaxing time, but, I believe ground staff is equally very important to make or break the experience. Lastly, you cannot think of moving out the property as its almost 7 — 9 kms away from city. Better is take your own hired vehicle to have sumptuous mean elsewhere.

For rooms I give only 1 star because no intercomm to connect with the reception… And most of the phones in the cottages are dead… for ambience 3 stars. The food is bland it is suitable for sugar patients and aged people and there will be a chance for animal lovers to spot wild elephants in the resort because they pass through the resort once in a while I recommend if you want to live like a nomad who travels without any preparation and has the thrill of adventure this place…

Gives good feel of living in forest. However if you are wanting to have a feel of stay amidst tea estate of Munar, then probably this is not an appropriate place.

Nice place, good hospitality, quality food though a bit expensive, really a place to justify Gods own country. Thoroughly enjoyed my trip and just an awesome place to visit again and again. Mr. Anil and Mr. Robin helped us during our stay. Thanks guys! Hope to see you all again.

Good place. As the name suggests its really deep in the woods. Far from town. Approach roads are not good.

Excellent place for a team outing. Nobody to bother you, sink in nature, get rejuvenated.

As name mentions, this resort is in deep woods. I had a very good experience during the stay here. This resort is surrounded by tea estate. Food was excellent quality and staff are cooperative. My kid was enjoying at recreation center and sitting area built up of wood (at all cottages). Good place to relax with family. Renovation work is going on to develop the resort and may be in next three months the resort will be more beautiful. One suggestion to Management is to make use of natural water to flow across the cottages so that it improves the view of the cottages. I have mention special thanks to Robin (Manager) who makes sure guests are taken care. Will recommend to my friends and family to be at Deep Wood Resorts. Will come back to this resort again and again.

This is a weird review, because I think the quality of the guests is what is terrible about this place. Didn't really interact with any, but they kept trashing the place on a daily basis. Seriously people, a pool table is not a good place to feed eggs to your idiot five year old. Other than the guests, this place is amazing. It literally is in the deep woods, surrounded by trees and mountains. That in itself is a big plus because I've been to resorts calling themselves beach resorts that were actually a long ten minute trek away from the beach, accessible via garbage infested roadless wastelands where I discovered new meaning to the word paranoia from imagining venomous snakes lurking in the shadowy underbrush. So the name being accurate with Deep Woods is a major thing for me. The rooms are large, hot water all the time, which you will need because the place is very cold at night. Fortunately, the staff lights camp fires every night. One for every cottage. Service was nice and prompt. My tour group got a complementary extra room for no reason other than it was vacant and adjacent. Food was excellent. Honestly, I did not expect good food here because of how remote it was, but I was happily surprised. Everything is excellently well maintained. The rooms are fully furnished, though you won't get coffee makers because many guests apparently used to steal them. The recreation room is well equipped.

Very good resort. Had a beautiful stay. Food was really good and tasty. One suggestion… Please provide one coffee maker in the cottages. Would suggest this resort to friends and family. Will surely come back again. Thank you.
