The Houseboat experience and hospitality was really amazing that we still adore. The 3 room houseboat was well maintained, the rooms were clean, the beds & linen spic & span. The A/C was working fine all in bedrooms & the lounge. The crew members were cheerful chaps always there to help us, among the 3, Mr. Tankapen was more chatty and did the job of guide in educating us about backwaters of Kerala. Food was virtuous that made up without much spice as per our input & should appreciate the chef for the ethnic lake fish dishes. Backwater Routes had all provided all facilities & bit more like serving as chilled beers & lobsters. We were group of 6 women, felt safe & secure with company of this wonderful people. Very friendly staff. Cheaper than other boats. And the boat was better than the others we had seen. The cook was at his best.

To be precise this was really great Kumarakom backwaters experience, on a beautiful houseboat, clean and comfortable, with a respectful, fine crew. They mainly left the two of us to simply enjoy the stunning surroundings, welcoming us first with a orange tender coconut each, then later serving an excellent spicy lunch, dinner and great breakfast the next day. Their hospitality was amazing. The houseboat cruised slowly through lake & had good sunset and parked near paddy field in night. Next morning, the crew took us for village walk and later returned to the jetty by 09, 30 in morning and got down from boat with memories of amazing day enboard.

An amazing 21 hours on a floating castle with great scenery, comfortable accommodation. The cheerful crew prepared mouth watering local foods. We stayed for a night and it was a mesmerizing experience. Very friendly and professional staff.

Once reached was amazed by the look of House which was different from others, but that was bonus as it was able to cruise the narrow channels of backwater streams. Really it was very interesting scenery of rural Kumarakom and most amazing moments with cool breeze. Everything (food, rooms, living space) was up to the mark baring the sun deck mattress which was very faded, dusty & not covered. Food was like home as tasty as home & as much as you can have. Both the staff cook & boat driver were helpful chaps with good knowledge of backwaters & boat house operations. Our recommendation would be if one wants to make any most of ones holidays this is the place to be & insist on narrow chanel cruises. Thanks Manosh & Team :)

Loved the boating in rain, what an ambience on backdrop of backwaters. We we stunned to see the thick black clouds eloping us back. The staff prepared some masala tea to warm up the spirits, we were getting late for our flight otherwise would have cruised till 06 pm. Thanks all will meet you very soon.

Will not prefer this. Expensive and not the worth. This person is an agent and charges much higher than the boat owners directly. Did not provide us all the food items promised upfront. The boat ride itself was only 4hrs for a trip of day+night package. The chef and the boat driver were good.

Not worth the money. Will not suggest. Very very expensive. This guy is an agent and has a very high margin. If I had gone through directly, I could've saved at the min 30%. Before confirming the booking, the guy accepted all my food requirements. But during the trip, I had to fight for each item. Being a coffee lover, I requested upfront and was promised. But was given only one coffee. My kids didn't get boost (to drink) as promised. I booked a day+night trip (noon check-in and 9am check-out the next day), but we only had 3.5hrs of boat ride. Rest of the time, just resting in middle of the lake. On the positive note, the chef and the boat driver were friendly and the food very tasty.

Overall experience was good … staff was friendly. Everything was served on time and ambience was quiet decent! One should hire this boat house and feel the natural beauty of kumarkom.

Our stay at the houseboat was a good experience. The houseboat was clean and spacious, with well established living room, bed rooms and attached bathrooms. The staff was very courteous, cheerful and will dig up historical facts of the backwater places as boat cruises. They even handed over the wheel to our grand children to try their boat steering skills. A special jury mention for the chef who served us best Kumarakom dishes & he also cooked the fishes brought from shops. OUr stay was perfect and memorable one with whole family.

The best backwaters experience on houseboat. We were on Luxury houseboat for a night… and enjoyed best authentic cuisine & felt like they had the best crew with smiling face.
