Good location facing sea. Nice food and excellent ambiance… worth trying once you are in Trivandrum.

Outstanding resort with good rooms Though the rooms are little damp, but since it is pretty close to the beach I can accept that. The service is great Rooms are centralised AC Nice sea view from balcony. The food price is very high The room rent is also very high even in off season. They have a swimming pool. A great swimming trainer! (taught me to swim in 30 min) Overall great place to stay if you have a good deal of money to spare.

The staff are very helpful and were nice when taking our bags up to our rooms etc. However, our room was damp and there were drips of water on the walls as well as mound stains and very damp floor. Beds were also too wet to sleep on so we were sitting on towels over our beds — we did move rooms but still have the same problem. All rooms smell of damp and are extremely dark — we couldn’t use the shower in the bathroom as it was too dark. Lastly, the hotel is very quiet it’s literally like a ghost town but if you’re looking for a very quiet time then this is perfect.

The location was superb but the staff was under trained. If you are going in a package beware they will treat you badly. Room service too was very weak. The staff lacked empathy for people who are sick and need rest. The food quality was also not up to mark as per the resorts reputation. Most of the items tasted bland and rotis were horrible. I would suggest not to taste your hard earned money for the sake of location. Choose any other stay over this.

Nice and good. The ambience is awesome. Even though it's difficult to get the sea view from most of the rooms, the campus is very pleasant and nice. It has a good food court, which serves nice food and an attached mini bar where you could enjoy mocktails. It's a bit interior, but once you reach you have many things to get relaxed. The service part is okey but the are willing to improve.

Rooms are clean and spacious and the view you get from the room is just soothing. Staff is good. Location is just perfect. You have direct access to the beach from the hotel. Complimentary breakfast was good. If you're looking for a stay in trivandrum this is the perfect hotel for it.

Very good Hotel or Resort. Romantic Resort. Beach Facing, Clean, Big Place, Swimming Pool, etc. Beach is just walkable distance. Like a private and crowd less International Beach. Excellent. Want to visit again. My Visit Date25-26 Feb'18

Nice location. One could enjoy the view of the sea from their room. Rooms were adequately spacious with all the necessary things there. Bathroom were clean and well equipped. Big property. Restaurants were good. Foods were delicious. Lazing around in the hotel was such refreshing. Would like to visit this place again.

Great location with a beautiful view of Arabian sea from almost all rooms (we stayed in deluxe). Staff was courteous and the lawns very well maintained. The rooms however needs upgrade. If you are fine to pay for view but fine with average rooms then this is a good choice.

It has good views, however the property can do with an imaginative reimagining. The stays are not directly sea facing despite the property having a great potential for that. On the plus side, it may not be as expensive as some others.

What a beautiful place to spend quality time. Awesome location. Beachside. Well maintained hotel… scenic lawn. Great food. Secur and safe. Will love to spent time with family. Kids would enjoy every bit of the stay here. Especially the pool… Rooms could have been improved a bit, but no complaints. Overall, its a must visit one, worth every rupee they charge. Will definitely visit again.

A beautiful resort facing sea with a beach. It seems like a private beach for the resort. Food could be better but it provide good dinning experince under open sky.

Excellent beach facing resort. All rooms have great views. There 's 's beautiful lawn there for relaxation. The beach is walkable from the resort and is almost like a private beach with very very less crowd. The staff are very courteous and superb service. The food there 's extremely delicious and mouth watering with authentic kerala flavors. One of the greatest weekend places.

Perfect value for money and very ambient restaurant. Didn't stayed in the rooms but as a whole its very clean and in order, so rooms won't be any different. Food is OK for the price point. Very good view of the beach and has a private beach area also.

Hotel Samudra, KTDC was suggested to me by quite a few people when I was planning a family vacation to Kerala. And when I reached the hotel, I understood why. A beautiful property, with an amazing location and a stunning view (including a sort of a private beach) and a pool, ofcourse. Coming to the staff, it was always very helpful and resolved queries with a smile. Thumbs up! The food, however, is the reason that I won't be giving a 5 star rating to the hotel. I'm not saying that it was bad, but it could have been a lot better (loved the carrot cake though) Will I book this property again and recommend it to my friends? BIG YES!

The hotel is in a fishing village. There is no territory. The sea is clean warm and good, the people are friendly, and otherwise close their eyes and do not look. There is a small pool with sunbeds. The food in the morning is local, in the evening you can order staff helpful, Internet is good and without interruptions. But otherwise only for those who comfort and the surrounding beauty of the place is not very important.

Location of the hotel is superb and I should say much better than the star hotels nearby. With coconut trees and natural lawn atop a small hillock, the view of the sea is so pleasant and relaxing. They also offer Ayurvedic oil massage and other treatments. A good place to relax and rejuvenate. The food part is not that great.

Very good place for hangouts. The ambience is also very good. The view from the hotel rooms are excellent. Also there are lawn spaces for conducting small parties and events. Good place for familes as well as bachelors. Eventhough the setup is quite nice and cozy the food needs improvement. Would have given 5 stars if the food was also excellent.

Samudra is a fantastic property! I went here for a evening wedding on the "Upper Lawn" which faces the Kovalam beach. Absolutely breathtaking views! Awesome place to catch the sunset and the fishing boats are out in the night. That makes for a stunning view too. The place has several hammocks to relax and read. I tried out the restaurant too. The service is not the best here. Chicken biryani was standard.

Amazing location of the Hotel. Opens into the sea. Food not so great. Not much option in breakfast. The rooms are good.

Superb location, right in front of the beach. And Amazing staff, service. View from the room is simply the best (sea and beach and sunset and pool and greenery and lots of coconut trees).

Good ambience on the beach. Nice walkway to the beach. However food was disappointing. No traditional Kerala dishes.

A beautiful place. Sunset is so good, you can't miss from this place. Has almost a private beach. Food is average, but who cares about food when place is so wonderful. Evening at this place is to die for.

The best ever hotel in Kerala… So satisfied to book a room in this hotel! The hotel itself was a place for side seeing… The food quality was awesome and the vote of the beach was also fine! It has a swimming pool and also rocks in the garden to sit on them… Overall the place is good, neat and clean…

If you wanna relax and enjoy the sea breeze, this place is definitely worth it. Mind it, the rooms are not fancy but the place is well maintained and serviced. Beautiful scenes, well equipped pool. On top of it, the food is homely. You get to hear the sea at each and every moment. They organise a candle light dinner too & the staff is courteous as well… Thumbs up.
