Our stay at The Lalit Resort and spa, Bekal, Kerala was an excellent break from Delhi's chilly winter. We stayed in the Luxury backwater view villa and the views from our room were splendid… Beyond the relaxing atmosphere of the villa, the next best part was the fantastic food and excellent service at the Nombili Restaurant. And yes not to forget the impeccable landscaping

The Lalit lived up to its reputation of being a super fine resort. We had all meals there, and the menu had a great selection of food choices and the staff was very attentive, professional and friendly.

The food was outstanding, staff was very welcoming and approachable!

The chef made us a special lunch called SADYA — Kerala special meal which had some zillion variety of food. Everything was delicious! … Definitely a 5 star experience and one should go to Lalit, Bekal for a relaxing stay!

When you just step in to the hotel you feel like you are treated as a Royalty. No matter if you are on business or holiday. The best part of this hotel is fantastic lobby, wonderful staff and ground floor rooms have balconies opens to the huge man made lagoons! Try to get a room with garden facing the lagoons, you will feel like you are in another world.

I got the opportunity to travel to Kerala last month on a business trip and staying at The Lalit Resort and Spa Bekal is truly the best experience of my life. The beauty of the place cannot be aptly described in words. The internal lagoon overlooking a white sand beach is sure to make anyone go numb with amusement. Apart from the aesthetic beauty, the place also offers numerous sports and recreational facilities which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Beautiful place! Situated right at on the river, this resort will give you a great opportunity to get the best of a river bank and a sea shore. The spa is absolutely amazing and worth going for. Try and get a villa close to the river and one with a jacuzzi. You won't regret it There are plenty of activities to do around the resort. You can take canoes and row around the river or take a bike and take a tour of the resort itself. Almost every evening on the beach there's barbeques, buffets and live music One pro tip: just like any such resort, food and beverages will be very expensive. If you plan to drink, you may want to consider carrying your own alcohol.

In simple words… this place is just heaven n divine. This place is equivalent to any other luxurious place in any part of the world. A house full of silence and surrounded by nature. Hospitality at it's best with friendly n helpful staff. We'll definitely come back here whenever get chance.

A beautiful resort in a idyllic setting with the backwaters lapping the property on 2 sides and the sea just a bridge across. The well maintained property as well as the warmth of the staff made the stay really memorable. A special mention to the F&B staff which made special efforts for my kids. The time taken by the staff to just talk to the kids warmly was wonderful. Thank u Joy & Ravi & all the others The food has a wonderful taste but I have reduced 1 star only because the menu is limited for choice especially when you stay for a longer period. Would want to go there for another holiday.

A very good resort and spa with above expected hospitality. The staff are very courteous and proactive. Worth to come here for at least 2 nights accommodation though bit expensive.

Awesome resort and hospitality. One of the two 5 star resorts in Bekal. Resort has access to backwaters as part of the property. Access to beach via a bridge. Premium rooms have Jacuzzi too. Balcony opens to porch on private garden. All in a all a true 5 star experience.

The resort location is beautiful, and the overall hospitality of the staff is also good, but if you are planning to avail spa services please keep in mind 2 things: 1. The communication skill of entire team at their Spa is very poor, I understand that they are traditional spa service providers but as a premium resort we expect that the resort management should have at least few appointed in the Spa who can ably communicate with the customers… but they have not hence it a big struggle to make them understand your requirement, convenience etc 2. Also, ensure you probe and get a thorough download of all the steps and duration of each step included in the selected spa service, because in all likely it'll so happen that the service provider will vanish from the room after the massage … and then you'll be lost for further direction / communication …

The place is beautifully done. Service is excellent too. From the time you enter the campus, you are made to feel very welcome. The campus is very large and also accommodates a helipad. They have a superb swimming pool too. Food and service at the restaurant is top notch. The only thing I didn't like about the restaurant was the post-food finger bowl. It's not the usual, and has to be experienced. Some may love this finger bowl, but I certainly didn't :)

I just got my recent week-long stay in Lalit Resort & Spa — Bekal. (July 19-23, 2017) No wonder the resort is well-maintained and lovely. They have amazing landscapes & scenic attractions. But I must say that there were few points which really dissatisfied me. First, on our 3rd day of stay, there was a pool party playing very lurid music from the neighbor villa the whole evening until the wee hours. We went there for relaxation but that gave us sleepless and stressful night instead. They didn’t I consider customers who checked in to unwind but tolerated those party-goers to turn the serene resort into a public nightclub bar. Lalit Resort profile in their website states “…it is the ultimate spa destination in tranquillity, offering unparalleled luxury, privacy and peace”. Well, that’s somehow deceiving and doesn’t conform the reputation they are well-known for. Second point, the Wi-Fi was too slow. You need to re-connect all times. Third point, the power supply kept turning on-off-on. Kinda annoying though. Fourth, the room Airconditioner kept malfunctioning/leaking. Been calling up for checking /repairing. Fifth, the breakfast buffet is plain average. Also, whenever you dine-in late (around 9am) you will be left with few foods choices/selections. These are honest reviews for your improvements. I enjoyed the resort’s facilities and nature, but somehow their services didn’t satisfied me.

Good and clean property. Very gentle staff. Rooms are specious and food is also good. Inspite of so much greenery there is no issue of insects. Very well maintained.

A lovely property. Ideal for family and short vacation. Activities like fishing, boating etc are very good. The beautiful beach is also very good to watch sun set and for morning walk. Absolutely pollution free. The hospitality was very good. Its worth spending money there.

Wonderful place. Great experience. Staffs are very friendly and approachable. Rooms are pretty big and comfortable. Resorts spread across more than 30 acres has it's own helipad, water lagoon and back water sports activity. Food taste is something to be improved upon.

Vast 5 star property in middle of nowhere. Property is well kept and maintained. Only attaction is bekal fort and vast backwaters around it. Ridiculously expensive but worth it for a short trip. Rooms were super clean and big. Baths were expansive with jacuzzi. Room service is prompt even in the middle of night. Over a stay you will cherish.

This property is beautifully maintained. The food was awesome. Lot of options on the breakfast buffet (specifically on the weekends). Room was very clean and spacious. — 1 for the jacuzzi. Takes a lot of time to fill up and heat up. Spa services were great too. Close to the beach.

One of best resorts that I have ever been. Huge property with picturesque landscaping. Well mannered and customer friendly attitude.

What look like a great property has poorly maintained facilities in the room. The in room jacuzzi uses retreated water which frankly smells horrible and feels so dirty no one in their right mind would offer it to a guest. If you wish to save water and the environment, don't offer the service, don't make it look like this great service which it totally isn't. But the worst is the hazardous bathroom fittings, with the heavy rain shower just falling off the ceiling when I tried to operate it. I was lucky to have missed it by a whisker. When I brought the matter up, the management promised to take action and inform me of the same. But I am yet to hear to hear from them. Dear General Manager, Mr Chandra, I am still waiting to know how you have made the rooms safe from grievous injury!

Beautiful property with private beach, amazing food and service, spa, yoga, kayaking and massage is available. Scenery is just stunning. This is one of the best resort in Kasaragod and they provide one day trip to the resort too. The resort has awesome view and maintained in quite efficiently.

Good property. The staff is very good but they lack on training part. Food is expensive and quantity is also very less.

Beautiful place. Good service. But many minus points too. Our room had a jacuzzi buy no hot water in the tap. It was just too chilly… As the occupancy was not full there was no buffet and we were asked to choose from the menu but the appetizers were off limit. The next day buffet was bad. Again no appetizers were served… In the restaurant there is no drinking water served. U hv to buy a bottle that costs 350 +… Overall good place with a lot of scope for improvement.

River meets the sea at this beautiful resort. It has been built with a great attention to detail. The design of the villas that house the rooms, the landscaping, provide a country charm, while the interiors provide modern luxury. They even have a boat where they arrange for evening dinner cruise in the middle of the river Its a relaxing getaway after a long road trip from Bangalore. Bekal fort is close and provides a panoramic view of the Arabian sea and the Kerala coastline. The only disappointment for us was the rough waters on the beach which make it difficult to swim in the Ocean. But as a relaxing getaway Lalit Bekal is simply awesome.
