Review of Hotel Rock Regency 2*

After making several searches on the web, we decided to stay here for our recent Hampi trip. We got a prompt reply after booking our accommodation and the CEO Mr Sandeep Sharma, a gentleman from Rajasthan but fluent in Kannada, Bengali, Telugu, Hindi and English (may be more) spoke to me personally and guided me as to how to reach the hotel. It was almost 2200 h when we reached the place. We had a quick dinner before retiring for the day. We could get more details of the place and the staff the next morning. The room is a standard one like in any of the three star hotels. The availability of water is phenomenal. The b/f is on the house and the staff is extremely courteous. They cater to the taste of people from different parts of the country and the quality of food as well as the taste is very good. The ambience of the open restaurant is excellent. The hotel not only feels but looks grand too like a three star hotel. For whatever we paid as tariff, with b/f for two of us, it was a wonderful bargain. There is a More super bazaar next door for the convenience of all. Hampi is just about 30 min drive from here and the road is reasonably good. One cannot always get accommodation at Hampi. Hospet is nearer by a few km but the travel time is not much different. For those who have their own transport, we strongly recommend this hotel for stay. I was given to understand that they can organise transport too for the guests on request. Overall, it was pleasant stay at the Hotel Rock Regency, thanks to Mr Sandeep Sharma and his staff members.
