Visited for restaurant Restaurant serves North Indian and desi food s (chats). Normally seats are not fully occupied so no need for waiting. It's calm place for family dinner. Drinks served. Cost is little on the higher side as expected for five star hotel s. Excellent parking facility.

Very nice ambience. The place is kept very clean. No odd smells anywhere. Came for Sunday breakfast, good spread of continental, Indian, Chinese. Fresh food, and replaced immediately once any dish is over. Very kind and patient waiters. Spacious dining hall so there is enough breathing space between tables. Good ambient lighting as well making it a very pleasant experience. Enjoyed the food and good value for money.

Was here for a corporate event. Food was fine, nothing to write home about, but not bad either. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, and helped me find a quiet place for a meeting I needed to have in the middle of the raging party. It's definitely a good location for your next office let's-forget-about-work event.

Awesome Hotel I had ever seen. I really liked the Bhuddha statue. However, they removed it. Breakfast is awesome. I really liked staying there. Unlike other Taj hotels, here they don't left us with "Toilet Paper Only" option. They offer water facility too.

The hotel lounge is very nice. Staff is really good and customer centric. The rooms are not worth. Rooms are very costly. They are very small for the money what you pay. Ample parking space available.

The things that make this place really awesome to stay at, is its amazing hospitality and the amazing lighting they have across the entire hotel. The staff is super awesome and the place breeds happiness in a way. You will love it, that's amusing you have a really deep pocket.

Our go-to place for Sunday breakfast buffet. We normally sit out in the open area. Has a lot of green cover, so it doesn't get sunny here till almost 11 am. Most guests prefer the air-conditioned indoor seating area. So we almost always have the outside area to ourselves :)

Great hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Stayed for 1 full month and the staff was really helpful and kind. Food was excellent with lots of local and international options. Service was always fast and was really trying to resolve any issue. Definitely recommended.

Great hotel with very good service. Rooms are nice, clean and decent size. The furniture is a bit outdated and could be updated. Excellent breakfast with many options, both local and international. On-site restaurants are very nice and especially Karavalli is well worth a visit.

Nice property. Excellent breakfast buffet with a manager who is there to help you get whatever you want. Karavalli among one of the best south Indian restaurant I have been to with a perfect outdoor seating.

Superb food in Karavalli. We went with our family and enjoyed very much. Service need more attention and staffs are very careless. We were very regular but this time lack of attentive. Anyway we enjoyed a food.

Great Location, right next door to the Brigade and MG Road, pubs and restaurants. Service is good, breakfast spread is adequate, rooms are comfortable. Would definitely recommend for a business traveller.

The Gateway Hotel is my favorite hotel in Bangalore. The rooms and their service are exceptional. Complimentary breakfast and complimentary seasonal fruits are provided. Rooms are spacious and well tended. It is located in a convenient place and easily accessible. Receptionists are so helpful and helped me as much as possible. I will recommend it for all especially those who are coming for sightseeing in Bangalore. However, in my last visit, the room booked has a slight problem in door. Other than that, all my visits are satisfactory and pleasant.

The best place to stay in Bangalore. Very conveniently located, right in the heart of the city. The breakfast should not be missed! The staff are so helpful and cheerful. I had a fantastic time there.

Very polite n hospitable people. Excellent breakfast buffet where they adjust recipes to your taste n liking. Cozy. Only 1 issue… d a la cart servings r impractically large to justify steep prices. Every order leaves u guilty for having wasted a large quantity.

Here you can even enjoy the aufeschnittene fruit and the freshly squeezed juice without hesitation.

One of the places to have corporate meetings as well as good time to spend and have delicacies to feast on at pastry shops and hog on at niche cooked food at the restaurants. Perfect in all sense for all the occasions be it formal or informal, private or public n as well as cosy moments which needs to be cherished for ever.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Loved everything. Rooms are spaciousness as always. Food is good. Staff is attentive and welcoming. The place is at the center of all activity at Bangalore.

Visited their Spyre pub (spelling must be wrong I think) during one of our office parties. Right next to Communities and the difference tells. The ambience is good but could have been better. Parking is there so thats a plus. The pub could have been a tad bigger and better illuminated.

Great hotel in a great location. Its in walking distance of many good restaurants and shopping malls. Breakfast in the hotel was okay but not fantastic. Rooms are clean and the bed comfortable. Pool area was big but a bit dirty and run down.

It is a very good business hotel. Most of my stays here have been a no fuss — no nonsense experience. The checkin and checkout processes are smooth and the hotel staff very attentive. Breakfast buffet is good with a variety of vegetable juices. Rooms are standard as you would expect at a gateway. All in all, it's an old but well maintained property.

The authentic southern India experience is a bit overrated and draining on the budget. As a seasoned traveler and current resident of the Garden City, I'd much rather settle for humbler climes and less make-believe. Would I visit here again? Nope.

We can not go wrong with any Taj property including this one. Waiters are always accommodating and helpful.

Good hotel with nice, clean and well kept rooms. Their buffet breakfast is a feast. The staff is very very polite, cordial and friendly. I have stayed in many hotels but politeness of their staff is something never experienced anywhere else.

Service was impeccable at the gateway by Taj. Couldn't have asked for better. The staff was not only courteous but friendly and very professional. The bathrooms were clean but indian guests may find the lack of a health faucet at the loo a bit uncomfortable although a mug is provided instead.

Went to their restaurant, Karavalli. Absolutely amazing dining experience. Probably the best mallu food in town. Must try their lovely desserts.

I've only been to a session at the ground floor. And the facilities were up to the mark for any kinda meeting, training, formal events. A day at The Gateway is more productive.

It's a place for Business meet and official meet, party time and high class event… Only offorded person can stay here… Surrounded by many shops and high class shopping malls.

Visited the restaurant, Karavali known for its west coast cuisine. The service was exceptional. The food could have been more authentic, but I do understand that when you cater to a wider audience you do tone down the spices and sort of neutralize the taste. But found them good nonetheless.

I had been to this Hotel couple of times. It is one of the reputed star hotels in Bangalore which is located in Residency Road itself, near MG Road and Brigade Road, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. This is one of the well known four star hotels in Bangalore. The Gateway Hotel Residency is suitable for all sort of business, meets, dine and stays etc. Guest can get all sort of star hotel facilities and easy access to the city center. There are convocation hall and room for events. The foods are outstanding and you may get Continental foods, Chinese foods and Indian food etc.

I just love the courtesy that the staff members provided me inside the hotel. The are very humble and supportive. The rooms are clean and tidy. I cannot find a single negative point here. The food is awesome, specially the breakfast!

My pre concieved notions that the scale and grandeur associated with the Taj would undoubtedly exist for a Hotel under it, were dashed as soon as I entered the building compound one Friday evening. Unlike other five star rated hotels, even the valet was 'Only for four wheelers'. After parking ourselves, I found two staff members in the entire lounge (which was fairly small), and surprisingly both of them were engrossed in their respective phone calls for over 5 minutes, even as I waited in front of them. When one of them finally deigned to answer my query about directions to an event being hosted there, it took a fair bit of asking around and "checking with someone else" before the reception could locate where the event was. After the event, the lawns was a great ambience for a dinner do. The lighting and furniture was appreciable. However the food was far below the standard I would expect and was comparable to food served at North Indian budget restaurants, oily and stale. While the Taj tag may have been added on, The Quality and Service expected of such a hotel was nowhere close. Also, staff behaviour, courtesy, etiquette, body language and demeanour, needed a great deal of training and improvement.

Dont opt for buffet. Not worth the money for a star hotel. Fish curry made me puke almost.
