We stayed for 2 nights, our experience was ok.
This hotel is very old, the best part of this hotel is it's location. Right on the middle of the mall road. View from the room is excellent. Easily accessible to all the nearest view points.
The negative part of the hotels on the mall road is, the mall road gets closed after 4 pm till 10 pm for taxis and for service vehicle. Either you have to walk down with your luggage or can take cycle rikshaw till your hotel. Taxi allowed after 10 pm with additional charges of Rs. 200. No assistance from hotel is provided for the same. When inquired as it was not conveyed to us, hotel staff replied that it's from British time. Can't do much about it.
Food didn't like much, The basic manchow soup was not good. The colour of the soup was red like any tomato soup. When asked why it's looking like this, please change, staff did respond and change the soup but wasn't find any much difference. Egg curry was good in taste. Breakfast buffet spread was ok. Didn't feel like to have it by looking the spread. The drink which was there in breakfast was not at all good.
Two half litres water bottle were provided per room, when Called for more two water bottle in next morning as half litres bottle were not sufficient, the staff said, store is closed we can provide chargeable water bottle or normal tab water now which was disappointed.
As it was very cold ask for heater, provide on the chargeable basis of.

Very well maintained property with an exilent location, with an amazing view & just few steps from the mall road. So u can go to eat or Rome around at any point of time. Room size was good enough for a family of 2 adults & 2 children. The rooms were clean & with all the required amenities. Food was also tasty & hygiene. Service was good. Mr. Dinesh the Hotel manager was such a gem of person. My stay was with Amara was so comfortable, that I would like to come again & stay there.

I have stayed in this hotel from 23 Dec to 26 dec 2023. The location is so good because it comes in the middle of the mall road both the library chowk and picture palace are in the same distance and that is walking distance. I am literally impressed by their staff because I was traveling alone and being a female my first concern was safety and for that I am giving 10/10. My room no was A-12 and the room and the view from the room was amazing. Their staff is so cooperative and concerned that they are always ready to help you. Highly recommended. Just because of them I have actually enjoyed my vacation. Thank you so much. Will visit again for sure. 😊. Best in all aspects whether it is about location, hospitality, room quality and ofcourse the view.

Situated right at the center of Mall Road. Most importantly they have enough parking space. It has a decent conference hall. Rope way to gun hills is right in front of hotel just across the road. You will het a great view from the top floor rooms. Service is good. Don’t worry about breakfast, you will get better option outside with great variety and with in walking distance.

I had paid INR 3200 for a room.
At the time of check-in I asked for tax paid invoice the lady on reception said you will get at the time of checkout when I asked at the time of checkout manager said you have to pay tax extra. Then why they not disclosed that 3200 is not inclusive of tax.
Only for room, when I asked to boil my baby's 300 ml milk which I have they charged INR 50 per time.
I didn't see this anywhere in India even a road side chaiwala don't do this. I am not having problem with Rs 50 but this shows their attitude. When I booked room they said you will get room on 4th floor later after they given 6th.
Water flow was as slow from which a bucket taken to full around 15min.

Near Gunhill ropeway, good service and housekeeping.

Located very close to the lower terminal of Mussorie-Gun hill rope way. Rooms are cosy. Restaurant provides very tasty food, including non-vegetarian, at reasonable rate. Car parking facility.

Great stay. Amazing views and mind-blowing location. Right in the centre of town. Just booked the room and relaxed for the weekend.

View from here is superb. Between the city. Near the market and mall road.

Place is good but costly! Parking is not upto the mark heavy vehicles are not allowed to park in the hotel area! U have to park your heavy vehicles in public parking than have to take some other convenient to come to the hotel. Still it's a good place to stay.

Location is good. Limited and congestion parking space. Only cars are allowed to parking. Problem of hot water in washrooms. Food quality is above average. Even after online booking, they charge for extra bedding. Mattress and quilt was not so clean and hygienic. Consider it second option for stay. Try for better one if you available in this locality. The rickshaw are too costlier from here to country garden.

The service in hotel ia pretty bad. They didn't even bring milk for small kid at night (this kind of service i've never experienced at any hotel ever). Lift is almost useless as you have to use stairs for the most part. The rooms are good though.

Don’t think of it as a much luxurious live in.! But one of the best places if priority is to stay at Mall Road, nice open big porch for kids as well as nature lovers overlooking doon valley. Rooms have turned much better after renovation and the kitchen is good too.!

One of the finest hotels in Mussoorie, I advise you to book a deluxe room in this hotel as soon as possible because it’s surrounded by alluring mountains on all sides.

Nice hotel, break fast and dinner was good, big vehicles not allowed on that road, you have to take auto.

The hotel is located on the mall road. Market, Restaurants, Play area for children all are only a few minutes walk. The staff was polite and co-operative. The best part is the valley view rooms. The open terrace gives a majestic view of the Doon Valley and surrounding mountains. The rope way to the Gun Hill view point is only a minutes walk from the hotel. The food is good. May have parking issues as cars are mostly not allowed on the mall road. We hired a 20 seater Traveller and had to get down at the Mussoorie Library. Carrying the luggage was bit of a struggle and had to hire cycle rickshaw for the same. We booked 6 rooms through OYO and the toiletries were supposed to be changed everyday but this was not done. They provided new toiletries upon asking. Overall it was a decent hotel to stay, except for the extra work required to be done to carry the luggage.

Excellent hotel with awesome location. Staff was co-operative and polite too. Food quality and taste was amazing. They have a buffet breakfast at a very reasonable price. Hotel is in the middle of the mall road. View from the front rooms is superb.

Very nice place to stay on mall road, easy accessible shopping market and restaurants, parking your own vehicle can be a problem, because on mall road four wheelers are not allowed.

Nice location of hotel, center to Mussoori, good rooms, great services. Hotel is specious. Wi-Fi not available, only thing as it is on mail road vehicles are not allowed, so difficulties in transporting luggage.

We booked the valley view rooms through oyo and I must say it was worth the money. An open terrace in the front of the room thows a complete 180 degree view of the doon valley and the surrounding mountains. Behind the hotel building rises the steep mountain slope to Gunhill view point. With a nice spread of buffet breakfast this hotel is one of the most sought after hotels in Mussoorie. I deduct 1 star from my rating for the linen. The linen provided was not clean. Though we didn't complain but certain things need to be taken care by the management. We had 2 oyo rooms out of which only 1 was provided with oyo trademark Biotique toiletries. On request they provided normal small soap and sunsilk shampoo sachet to the other room. The toiletries were supposed to be replaced with new ones everyday but that was not done.

Affordable price and average furniture so you can call it a average stary, they can also provide food, food is good.

The hotel is situated right on the mall road and provides ample parking space. Rooms are very cozy and well decorated. They keep extra blanket and pillow in the cupboard and a sofa that can be converted to a single bed. It's really helpful if you are with family. The complimentary breakfast has not only variety but delicious as well. The view from the room and dining area is mesmerizing.
