Very nice place with nice views of the river bank. Peaceful and pleasant environment. Rooms and room service are okay. Very dirty, no cleaning.

Holy River Ganges and ghats are Very beautiful and calm place. Little bit dirty but full of spiritual energy. Must visit if anyone want to feel the God.

Located next to Assi Ghat, a perfect location to see the prayers and offerings on the Ganges in the morning (from 5am). Very quiet area but close to everything. The terrace at the top is very nice, rodwado of vegetation. Regular cleaning. Lovely staff. The conservation of the building, regular, but compared with the offer of Varanasi, is great. Better booking direct than in portals, but pay only on arrival at the hotel. Repeat.

I went over to all the ghats of Ganges in Varanasi, all were very cleaned and were very nice. We had a great time there. Dashaswamedh Ghat was the best one.

The location of the hotel is the biggest reason that you should choose it. Its near Assi ghat so you can enjoy all the views right from the comfort of your room. The rooms needless to say are really nice and so are the staff. The restaurant provides good choice of food. Pickup facility is available however do confirm it at the time of booking or calling their desk phone.

Well located on the edge of assi ghat. It's royally named but it's a mid range budget hotel which had clean and well lit rooms.

Wi-Fi not available and some flat are doubtful especially the spinach.

One of the wonderful "at home stay" places in varanasi just on one of the five important ghhats of varanasi.

This is one of the tibetan buddhist relegion temple which is called kagyu and H. H. Karmapa is the main head or root lama. N this monastery was found my v. V. Thrangu rinpoche who is also one of the great lama n the teacher of karmapa. This temple is kagyu college for the young monks and new kid monks.

Hotel very expensive for what it offers. Failure of the air conditioning and the Hot water. It is clean.

This is a dated run down hotel — the Taj groups has actually down graded this hotel from a "Taj" branded property to the "Gateway" Branded property and it shows! Worn out grey colored bed sheets, Towels, leaky faucets, and musty smelling hallways! Noisy Air Conditioning. You name it these guys have it! The Radisson near the Mall in Varanasi is a better deal — lower priced with modern amenities and a staff that is miles ahead of the "Gateway Ganges" in terms of attitude and attention. I visit Varanasi every year from the US and have seen only a decline in this place — Avoid at all costs, till they get their act together, the 3rd floor is getting renovated so there seems to be some hope — but for now the Radisson triumphs the gateway!
