Great budget accommodation within walking distance of the Taj Mahal. Fast Wi-Fi, clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff and the food at "Bob Marley Restaurant" was excellent. Highly recommend "Friends Paying Guest House"

The rooms are great at an affordable price. The AC rooms are really comfortable. The food is awesome too. The staff are great. They are very friendly. The best part is that it's pretty close to Taj Mahal. P. S. Look out for the cute cats.

They are the worst people in business. Frauds and cheats all doing business together. Spoiling name of Backpackers. No ACs while they have falsely claimed that they have ACs. Not concerned for customers at all. Bloody thiefs.

We stayed here for two nights in the dorm during the low season in May 2018. Despite the low season, Friends Guest House was booming with life and their restaurant upstairs was filling tables. The hostel is just a stones throw from Taj Mahal east gate (10 minute walk). The hostel can also offer a packed breakfast for those visiting the Taj at sunrise I would recommend this hostel to solo or group travellers looking to meet other like minded individuals and get to the Taj nice and early for sunrise.

The owner Bob was nice, food at the restaurant was good as well. The 6 bedroom dorm is only fan, no air conditioning. There are other rooms with Ac. Close to taj mahal eastern gate. Very convenient stay. If you need recommendations they're more than happy to assist.

This place is awesome. I will make sure whenever I go to Agra, I stay in the same place. Irreplaceble one. Staffs are alo very helpful.

Great location only 1km from the Taj Mahal, the hostel have few sweet common areas and excellent terrace view. The staff and service are taking care, friendly and warm spirit. I had a single room and was great to stay.

First backpack hostel experience and it went to be awesome. Walking distance from Taj Mahal East Gate. Simple and Comfy. Food is super. Overall nice experience.

Great location, near to east gate of Taj mahal. The place is so clean and very good atmosphere. People who run this place are very nice and helpful, Bob is super friendly. Very approachable person. Had a great time talking to him. He also arranged the transportation for us early morning. I had great food at the restaurant Bob Marley Cafe it's very small but they make fresh and tasty food.

The staff at this hostel only care about money. Do not book transport here because they will only book trains or taxis which they get commision from. When we tried to book trains they told us they were all booked out until 7pm but when we looked on Yatra and showed them that there were availabilities earlier, they refused to book it for us. As for buses, they don't get any commission from booking busses so they will talk you out of taking buses. After half an hour of getting nowhere we just walked next door to Moustache Hostel and managed to book our desired train in 2 minutes. They are SO helpful and SO friendly. Don't waste your time at Backpacker Panda. I would never stay there again.

Be careful with cheeky and playful staff as when they'll have a chance they'll scam you on money. Especially watch out for guy named "Lucky" and don't get any extra services from him like bus tickets. Worst experience I had in India so far. Waste of time!

Good location, a lot of restaurants nearby. Taj Mahal prolly a 15 min walk away. Rooms were damp. Service was good. They did have a pretty sweet chill out rooftop.

BACKPACKERS PANDA is not a normal hotel! It is a cooperative hostel, where you have to stay with others sharing everything. You will have a separate bed or room to enjoy your stay! Location is key here. It's in the Taj Nagrai Phase I, which means you can visit Taj by a brisk walk down the lane…

Cheap hotel, cheap people, Very rude staff, misguided, unforgettable memory, Please never look for Backpacker Agra. Common washroom for 2 room 8 bed and restaurants user, worse than public toilet Non ventilated rooms, there is no option fir ZERO star, otherwise I would have given that.

Very Good hostel, excellent location, a few meters from the East gate of the Taj Mahal. The double piece very well, with fan and private bathroom, I would add a screen cloth to the window so do not enter the mosquitoes to the room but it is quite well! Really recommended. At the same hostel they have a restaurant, Bob Marley Restaurant, very recommended too! PPR there the Wi-Fi did not work well but hey, that's what there is! hahaha. Inside, All right!

Overall a nice place where to stay for one or two nights. From my personal experience I would say everything okay apart from the bedsheets and pillows which were stained on some spots, therefore not perfectly cleaned. But, hey, the place is very cheap and the staff is very friendly and polite; for being one star hostel it's all okay!

Basic facilities, a good place to rest your head for the night. Staff isn't the most forthcoming but can generally help if you ask specific questions. The restaurant is really good, though the portions are pretty small. But overall a standard hostel.

Visitors get free tea if they leave a review. We were served a different dish, not what we ordered, but our server insisted that is correct. Maybe they’d figure foreigners wouldn’t know anyway. Portions were small, go to another restaurant across the street instead for better vibes.

Good for everyone. Budget class Non AC rooms are as comfortable as AC rooms. Good for hostelers and people searching for bunker accomodation. Near to Taj Mahal, so a good option to stay Food is ok. Cooked at home so it's quite hygienic I suppose.

A great place for travelers. Not advised for family as they do not have private washrooms in family rooms. The staff here are super friendly and their complementary travel guide is great. It is located very close to Taj Mahal. The hostel prices are budget friendly.

Its good if you are alone or small group. Its cheap. But no room service is there.

One of the best hotels in agra. ECONOMICAL, great food, common room, library, music, very close to TAJ MAHAL, clean n hygienic. Hope to visit again. Very freindly owner n staffs.

Best hostel in Agra. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They make sure you will have a good time. The hostel is close to the main attraction, the Taj Mahal. Its just a 15 min away and in the night you have an awesome view from the rooftop! Rooms are nice and clean and need everything you need in a room! Beds are comfy.

Went there for breakfast but we found it to be expensive for our budget. 150rs for just toast and coffee/tea? We found much better value in the area.

Amazing guest house located Taj Mahal eastern gate Agra. We went for food at Bob Marley restaurant food was amazing and we learn cooking classes with them too.

The brothers we met running the hotel were fun and friendly. For a basic hostel with rock bottom prices it is a good stay, but we found the non air con super basic room wayyyyy too hot for September as there was no proper window to help cool the room. Great family though.

Friendly and comfortable family-run place to stay on a budget, good value for the price. But I would recommend taking any tours and food elsewhere, as prices are inflated.

The only place you should stay in Agra. Run by a great family who are very honest and accommodating. Food is great (though more expensive than some), room prices are probably the cheapest in Agra. 2km to Taj Mahal. I am from the USA and my only affiliation with Friends Paying Guest house was the awesome experience I had in October, 2014.

Best Budget Backpackers Hostel in Agra. We just had a most pleasant stay here last weekend. We enjoyed a very clean room and bathroom. They prepared a nice continental breakfast and our host made us aloo parathas to take for lunch which were very delicious. The family is very nice and friendly and I would definitely recommend this place to others. The family were really lovely — helpful and chatty if you wanted them to be and left you alone if you didn't. The food was some of the tastiest we had in India and that is saying something! It was easy to walk to the Taj Mahal.
