Good hotel, but I would recommend you to take hostels in Udaipur. They are good.

Good place to stay … It's in old city all attraction places are near by … food is awesome. Must try sizzler and Punjabi food… Room service is also good… if u are going by car u have to park car before old city bridge and take a auto till hotel. As lane are narrow.

Good be much better… room and service sucks. Location is good but not very convenient… no cars during the day. Overlooking the lake from the restaurant. Basic though.

Ours was a lake view room with heritage look which was big and offered wonderful view of lake pichola, lake pichola hotel and distant views of taj palace hotel and Jag Mandir. The hotel was bit of a juggle for us to find initially as the name is not displayed properly but in someway less noticeable letters. Its located in the old city busy marketplace with very narrow streets where its usually a no entry for car/cabs during day time. However you can get autos easily. The best part is its location — Its at walkable distance to City palace, Jagdish Temple, Bagore ki Haveli, Gangaur ghat and some marketplaces. They have a roof top restaurant like many others in the neighbourhood area and it offers good views of the lake. They don’t have breakfast buffet but a small breakfast menu to choose from. Service was not prompt at times. You wont get 24hr hot water service. You need to call the reception and wait for them to switch on the hot water service and wait for 5mins at the minimum to actually enjoy for hot water for use. We had to call them multiple times and was bit of a hassle at times. Unlike typical hotel, No room service will be provided by default as they dont have extra key to your room. If you need the housekeeping done, let them know and make sure to leave your key behind for same. Wifi was at pathetic speed.

Really great spot that’s right on the water. All the major sightseeing spots in Udaipur are within walking distance from here—especially the City Palace and boat ride to Jag Mandir. The owner is very helpful and friendly, and full of suggestions. The king suite has a massive private balcony that overlooks the lake, and I highly recommend booking it if available. Breakfast is also tasty, and included in the room rate.

We spent couple of nights on this heritage property. It is more of homestay than hotel. It sits right on banks of lake pichola and rooftop offers amazing views of lake and surrounding palaces. Rooms are awesomely decorated and accentuates the Haveli look. Bathroom are small. Room have tv, fridge and Wi-Fi connectivity. There is no restaurant here, caretaker brings breakfast in morning from outside. No room service as such. Approach road is small and cars are generally not allowed. So you need to either come by auto or walk a kilometer or so from car drop point. Only reasons to go for this are awesome room and views from rooftop.

This hotel is right on Lal Ghat. Good hotel with heritage feel. It's roof top offers amazing view of lake Pichola.

Good hotel for stay, don't include breakfast in hotel tariff instead pay at the spot with your choice of food.

Hotel devraj is good place to sped one day. Room and food are good. and lake viewpoint is great. from devraj we see view that not getting any other hotel. but little problem is there if you coming buy your car then no parking facility there. if you come by train then no taxi is come to at your hotel. But you get auto up to your hotel hotel devraj is situated in old Udaipur city. It is nearby night market so spend good time in night.

Great location, views and hotel staff is helpful! Stayed there for couple nights with family. Roof-top restaurant serves good quality food and prices are average. Rooms are comparatively smaller but they are better than average. Hotel itself located on shores of Lake Pichola and provides spectacular views of Lake, Taj Palace, Monsoon palace and surrounding mountain ranges. There is ample shopping options nearby walkable from hotel. Recommend this hotel for stay near lake Pichola area.

Raj Niwas is one of the few hotels that I have spent my best holidays. Super clean room, high speed Wi-Fi, polite & helpful stuff. All the markets, restourants and tourist spots are pretty much near.

Nothing great about this hotel except it's location. Rooms very below normal. No bed sheets, towels weren't replaced after one day. It has a restaurant on roof with good view and that's the only good thing about it. Bath Water was either always hot or always cold.

A lake facing hotel but unfortunately with minimum essentials a room must have and decent service from the restaurant.

To access this hotel by own car is a horrific idea. Better to park up car in other area and access by auto. The main attraction of this hotel is the rooftop restaurant and their food. Even they make good quality tea and coffee. The rooms are OK and the bathrooms are really big compare to the rooms. Swimming pool and pool boards are only for show. The staff of the hotel and restaurant are very good. No room service. But a good option as a budget hotel with wonderful scenic views from rooftop restaurant. In evening plenty of crowd is coming at the restaurant as they are specialists in making sizzler.

Awesome Lake view. It was a great experience in city of lakes udaipur. You just need to walk to reach there and once you will be at the spot it's amazing.

People’s home thats what the word Janak Niwas mean in Hindi. After staying there for 4 nights it had become a home sweet home for me n my mom, 4 nights went just at a snap of fingers. It’s a home in old city of Udaipur, the essence of city was mesmerizing, the ambience. The talented Bhaiya’s of Janak are praiseworthy, excellent in culinary skills, paintings, palm reading, hospitality, and what not; you name it they have it. They are Master of master’s in Arts. The extremely delicious and lip smacking food served at rooftop restaurant with view of City Palace. Tidy rooms, services at your finger tip by little Hari and Raju bhai, they are just a phone call away with a lovely smile on their faces. Sightseeing at walk able distance City Palace, Jagdish Mandir, Bagore ki Haweli Museum and evening cultural show, Lake Pichola, Jag Mandir, city market.

This is a great place in a super location and good value for money. The staff are helpful and friendly with a lovely roof top area to relax and Chillex a super café for real coffee, fresh juice and nice food. I recommended it especially considering the price.

Decent affordable stay. The management is really helpful and welcoming. Clean rooms and good rooftop restaurant.

A good stay in Udaipur. Very helpful staff. One of the owners personally made a dessert for me to surprise my wife. The food and location are first class. The view from the top is second to none. We'd surely stay here the next time we're in town. If you plan to travel around the city, this location is perfect.

Excellent location with magnificent view. The best? The rooftop with good dinner! But the rooms are simple, not well iluminated for the night, and it has a VERY BASIC BATHROOM.

It was an amazing time while we were there I had great meals from the rainbow restaurant that' s real close.

Stayed for one night, wish I had stayed more! The rooftop restaurant has a lakeside view which is awesome, and their sizzling plate is very nice! Yumm Our room was 111 and it has an amazing view of the lake, everything clean and nice. The bathroom was more 'western' than others we came across.

Quite comfortable stay. Loved the location of the restaurant and views from there. Couldn't have gotten better! The staff however is not very friendly. Indians don't get as good a treatment as foreigners do here. A bit racist in this matter. One can clearly observe the difference. I wish this were better even elsewhere in India. No respect for us in our own nation! : (

The staff at this hotel was most helpful, trustworthy, and caring people we met on our trip! They went out of their way to be helpful and to do anything they could to make our stay comfortable. The hotel itself was comfortable and clean. I highly recommend this hotel!

No TV no proper restaurant.

Very spacious rooms. But you have to park your car 0.5 kms away at their other hotel. And also big cars will have a great difficulty to access the hotel. Rooms are excellent with proper haveli decor with modern touch.
