Lake itself is not great. But market around is very awesome. A very different market than Jaipur. You'll need around 3 to 4 hours to cover the market and shop.

Pushkar Lake or Pushkar Sarovar  (Sanskrit: पुष्कर-सरोवर) is located in the town of Pushkarin Ajmer district of the Rajasthan state of western India. Pushkar Lake is a sacred lake of the Hindus. The Hindu scriptures describe it as "Tirtha-Raj" – the king of pilgrimage sites related to a water-body and relate it to the mythology of the creator-god Brahma, whose most prominent temple stands in Pushkar. The Pushkar Lake finds mention on coins as early as the 4th century BC.

One of the best spiritual place to visit in North India with wonderful natural scenery and less manipulated landscape but beware of the local pandas at the ghat as they may get your confidence initially but afterwards convincingly it will cost you a lot.

Nice place to spend weekend. Sunset and sunrise is not to be missed. As the sunsets the lights start to reflect in the lake. Sunset is the best here.

Feel blessed when we reach holy lake. Visit to Brahma Temple is must. Lake maintained nicely. But authorities need to put Mattings on marble pathways along lake during summer. Shopping for Rajasthani items can be done with bargains.

This place is considered sacred one by Hindus and all the town activities are surrounded this lake. During sunrise you can spot locals bathing and praying and sunset you will see tourist on the left side of the lake playing and enjoying it. Just double precaution for the guys or ladies giving you flowers to bless the lake. They will charge you for this! Plus until 30 feet from the lake you should walk barefoot.

Beware of the “Brahmins” who want to perform rituals for you. They demanded US$100 from each of our family members to provide ONE meal for a needy family, and told us that if we don’t have cash they will take credit cards. Sad to see religion reduced to such a commercialized level. We refused and left but it soured the entire trip to Pushkar. I would advise that you explore on your own and do not accept anything from anyone. The lake itself is relaxing and there are good shopping bargains.

The amazing resort with beautiful sight seeing and places nearby. The whether of Pushkar is quite smooth and dry but you can enjoy the calmness and silence of the environment. Nights are much beautiful and cool. This resort can be used for family or for couple and can be booked with guys in groups.

Pushkar Fort is a perfect venue for a destination wedding. Sprawling lawns. Heritage rooms n multiple complexes. Beautiful plantation. Huge swimming pool. Serene surroundings and complete package of Royale Rajputana. The most importantly Shri Rajendera Singhsb Rathore (CMD) is most humble and smiling personality who always there to help you.

Amazing experience I have sitting on the ghat of pushkar lake. Silent place, you can sit here upto hours & feel the peace here. The only thing which I feel that Ghats needs improvement in terms of cleanliness.

The atmosphere is so spiritual and calming, it was a tough way to the lake because of that special occasion crowd, the care takers try very much to keep the place clean and good. Overall a must visit for a spiritual experience.

Nice, calm place to visit. There are many ghats for the Pushkar Lake. All the ghats are pretty much same as per the view. When you visit the lake, don't sit with your feet immersed in the lake water, the locals there get angry on this activity.

When we where there the food was not to eat. Drinks not available. The 3 stars only for the good night rest we had.

We arrived after one hour struggle to find to find out the exact location of the hotel the pushkar bagh. Very poor room service experience. Tv did not working on till check out time.

A amazing place to enjoy your holidays. Ambience is also good. Fort has different types of rooms so you can choose accordingly.

Taking into consideration where they are situated, this is "walking into heaven" after that drive. One can say plenty about the rooms but their food was by far one of the best I had in India. Meals are served fresh and piping hot. Not to mention the willingness of the staff to assist at anytime of the day or night.

So peaceful at night. And the shimmering reflection of the lights on the lakes is pure trance. Surrounded on all sides by ghats and cafes. You take a dip here to wash off your sins. (haha) Beautiful place to spend an evening listening to the Aarti. It is hypnotic.

PUSHKAR LAKE According to Hindu scriptures, the sacred Pushkar Lake is described as ‘Tirtha Raj’, the king of all pilgrimage sites. No pilgrimage is considered to be complete without a dip in in the holy Pushkar Lake. Semi-circular in shape and about 8-10 metres deep, Pushkar Lake is surrounded by 52 bathing ghats and over 400 temples and is truly a magnificent sight to behold.

Beautiful and serene, photography is usually prohibited as it is used by people to bathe. Best time to visit is during the pushkar Camel fare (November)

Appreciating a sunrise with the chants and rituals of the Hindus is very rewarding and worthwhile. There are areas where you cannot take pictures out of respect for people.

The rooms are fairly basic and mostly twin rooms, not doubles. The beds are firm but not hard. Some of our group did not have hot water in their rooms and the air con in our room rattled so much we turned it off. The restraint service is slow and an hour wait for your meal was the norm, we were part of a group and it was normal for some to have finished their meal before other had been served. The grounds are pleasant and create a nice environment, there is however work going on to extend the facilities, this is not intrusive but you do walk through the building area to get to the pool. It is a good 25 minute walk into the village/town and 35+ min walk to the market and temple area. Not an unpleasant stay but not great, the group we were with meant we had a good time. They provided entertainment on evening but it clashed with dinner so they danced and juggled to themselves for the most part which was a great shame, had it been planned and communicated better we would have been able to enjoy it more.

Pushkar is indeed one of the best pilgrimage centres in india… mostly famous for the camel fest… Pushkar attracts numerous number of foreigners every year. The lake gives a mesmerizing view, especially in the evening. The place is calm and peaceful.

A serene place with a eye dropping scenery. The lake is so picturesque that you can have absolutely beautiful photography from every nook and corner of the lake. A nice place to meditate.

Swimming pool was good. Food was nice. Rooms were average. No activities, they could provide some indoor/outdoor activities for guests like carom, biliyards, badminton, cricket etc. Overall good resort in a budget.

A beautiful serene place to unwind. The ambiance, rooms, greenery, sports facilities,. Spa and food are all outstanding. Great weekend getaway from Jaipur, Gurgaon, Udaipur, Jodhpur and adjoining towns.

For 5k a night … Horrible service, overpriced, dirty beds! They do not have clean sheets. Be ready to find human hair in your so called clean bed. The bathroom faucets are broken. Any two star hotel would offer you a bottel of water as package. But, here No. And they lie about the Wi-Fi… you only get it in the reception which is a long walk from their rooms. AVOID this hotel.

The travel agency had informed us that this hotel had a 4 star category, but we were able to see all of them to spare him. All that is saved is the design of the building. It has some charm because it mimics a strong Indian.
The rest of the hotel is harmful. The reception is joke, a couple of tables placed one on the side of the other with a rubber of plastic and a computer. The rooms are small huts that extends throughout the hotel. Despite being virtually the only customers that they were staying that day, the room had long been without clean and was a real sauna. However, had an ancient air conditioner making a terrible noise and ran the front air bed. There were bugs in the shower, carpets seemed straight out of a dunghill, we found a match used in one of the shelves, furniture were very old and were scattered around the room in a descolocada way. The sheets were full of stains and the pillows were not only bad but it also emitted a strong smell of sweat. There was no phone, or closet where to put the clothes. Door closing system was a giant latch on the inside and a padlock on the outside. Key hanging from an uncomfortable Tinker Bell as a keychain that didn't fit in the pockets of the pants.
On the other hand, the water in the pool was completely green. In the dining room, both the tablecloths and silverware also made gala of lack of cleanliness.
