It's a nice hotel Homestay kind of thing there is a restaurant which was delicious food which is inside this Dew drop Inn and the cooked damn delicious food You get the view of entire Shillong and really don't need to visit the Shillong peak at night the city look beautiful there are three rooms you can choose any of them available on the internet.

We simply loved the place, the surrounding and the view from the room was breathtaking no point in visiting Shillong peak if you are staying in this place, the place was very clean, rooms were cleaned every single day, the food was good especially the home food cooked by Bonnie, she is absolutely a wonderful person, the owner was very hospitable with a special mention to Mr. Grant who is extremely helpful and polite looking after the entire arrangements. Overall a wonderful place to spend your vacation away from the commotion of police bazaar and moreover it is kid friendly too. Thank you Dew Drop Inn for making our trip memorable.

Probably the best view in whole shillong… The people here r very welcoming… And the food… Not to spicy… Not to sophisticated… But delicious… probably the best cozy place… Separated from the rest of the world.

The domestic help, Bonnie is always available for all the household needs and cooks some of the finest Khasi food. The view from the place is just breathtaking. Didn't get a great dinner or breakfast the first day.

We were a group of 10 women and dis homestay was booked by our travel portal… its a beautiful homestay with two rooms on the first floor and one room on the ground floor. It has a small cozy balcony beautifully done and has an amazing view… we couldn't get the time to interact wid d hosts and not sure if the hosts were the caretaker or not… we had breakfasts and they served us hot stuffed parathas in a short notice and the parathas were yummy… it was Christmas time and the place was beautifully decorated… the one star is less coz one of the room on the top floor can accommodate two ppl as it has only a double bed… they accommodate one more person in the same room with just one extra mattress… which is quite not acceptable in winters. And the place is on top of a hill quite far off from the main area… bt still loved the place…

This place will give you homely feeling away from home. Just awesome. Love it.

I'll start from the beginning: my friends and I, we chose this homestay based on all the amazing reviews, and now here I am, writing a review myself, and I can only affirm that this place deserves the best of compliments. Whether you're traveling with your family or your girl-squad, you probably cannot find a safer, more homely place to stay in. What makes Dew Drop In stand out as a Homestay is that along with the homely environment they provide the best-in-class services. The place is pretty, cozy and very well maintained. We booked the family room on the 1st floor, and it was rather spacious. The house-keeping services are commendable. You can have your breakfast/ dinner served to your room and there's quite a range of options to choose from. There's an electric kettle provided in the room, which means you'll have your unlimited supply of self-made tea and coffee. There's an adjoining restaurant too, so if you wish to go out for dinner, you won't even have to step out of the homestay. Apart from the services, the open terrace adjoining the rooms on the 1st floor deserves a special mention. You can soak in the beauty of Shillong, sitting on your terrace, sipping your coffee. The city lights look amazing post dusk. Last but not the least, the place is owned by the kindest of people who'll make your stay all the more special. They'll make sure all your requirements are taken care of and they'll always approach you with a smile.

Dew drop in Homestay is exactly that, a home to stay at when you're in Shillong. It's very comfortable, cozy, relaxing, neat, beautiful etc etc :). In short, it's really homely! Its location is awesome too with a nice view of Shillong city to bask in from the terrace. Me and wifey had an awesome time staying and relaxing here after our wonderful and tiring week long trip in meghalaya. We in fact did not wanna get out of the home! We couldn't have asked for a better place to s…tay! What makes all the above possible is a lovely family running this homestay. Ms Valerie and her son Mr Grant are simply amazing! They were so simple, welcoming and helpful with every single thing we experienced while being there. Apart from making us feel at home, they were always up for a nice chat, answering our questions about so many different things and even suggesting us places to visit not just in Shillong but across meghalaya as well! The home cooked food they prepare on order is really tasty and guests may not feel the need to get out for food:) and again, it felt like home sitting and eating dinner on the nice table in the dining area. Their breakfast is good as well. Thanks so much to both of them for being perfect hosts and thanks to their lovely service staff too!

The owner is very kind there (grath), I didn't really get his name but. Rooms are really comfortable and cozy. View is awesome from the common balcony. There is a restaurant besides the inn which provides good food at a reasonable price. The place is very far from the police bazaar as it takes around 150 rupees in a taxi. The lady who manages the inn was the reason for which I was taken back to give 5 Star rating as she doesn't help alot. We had to take our luggage upstairs to the room. She didn't even help us where as the owner helped us while leaving. Overall I thought it was a good inn at a reasonable price if you are searching for affordable stays in shillong.

We (2 families of total 6 people) reached in evening on 16th June and left on 18th morning for Cherrapunji. Although it was a Guest House but it is much much better than many hotels one will find at a higher rate than what was charged. The owner, her son were very co-operative and friendly. The caretaker (always smiling) was very good and always looked after our needs and provided prompt service. The maid was also ok. There's a dog (probably named Shabab) and one who are fond… of dogs would like to interact with it as a buddy. The rooms were very neat and clean and beds were cozy. We availed both rooms in the first floor (2x double bedded one + 1x double bedded one) with full access to the terrace balcony. Food was very well prepared by them and they have a lot of options for dinner/lunch. I specially tried most of the Khasi dishes as they are not available in our region. Free Wi-Fi is also available and self service unlimited Tea/Coffee making was also included in the room tariff. The view from the terrace was just beautiful and its the best place to stay for people who mostly come for enjoying the peace of nature with picturesque surroundings, away from the daily crowded and noisy life. The place situated top of the hill, bit far away from the main town and one would get the whole city view from the terrace roof. There's a Buddhist monastery nearby (walking distance 10 mins) where one can visit in the morning.
