Absolutely love this place, one of our favorites in all of Iceland!
The views from the room/patio are breathtaking, the location is ideal and private, outside of the madness of Kirkjubæjarklaustur! Meals are also fabulous and there’s a good beer selection at the restaurant!

We stayed at Magma hotel in June 2021 and enjoyed our stay immensly! Its an extraordinary place with amazing service. We had a personal issue while staying there and the staff went out of their way to assist us. Highly recommended!

Tina the staff member at front desk. She is extremely knowledgeable and gave us a complete tour. A must stay. Too many amenities to mention. Check the "haunted"old jail out back.

It was amazing experience in my trip. The host was very kind and give enough info to travel. Breakfast is also fine and the house was perfect. It was clean and the view was nice :) I strongly recommend there.

Out of all the places in Iceland this was my favorite accommodation. Tastefully decorated, very functional. Quick check-in and friendly staff. Outside patio is a great place to relax, enjoy a peaceful view, while sipping on a bottle of your favorite wine.

The manager team was well prepared and outgoing. The lodging was first rate yet really Icelandic. The roof of each cottage was a grass/flower garden. The home cooked dinner each evening was creative and prepared perfectly.

I'd go back to Iceland to just stay here. We were here as part of our honeymoon and it was amazing, we just wish we stayed longer here. Truly a favorite. Thank you!

Our favorite hotel of the 8 we experienced in Iceland! ADORABLE little individual houses with green roofs. Beautiful view over a lake from floor-to-ceiling windows. Clean rooms. HEATED BATHROOM FLOORS! Never thought I'd love this feature so much… Now I want one at home! Dining room also beautiful. Our dinner of lasagna and fish was 50/50 (loved fish, didn't love lasagna), but the dessert… Oh my goddd the chocolate cake was worth. Every. Calorie.

Great location. The small hotel is facing a little lake. Each room (an independent small house) has view to the lake. Superclean and cozy. Recommended to visit the waterfalls and glaciers.

This place is very unique. I highly recommend staying here. The view is beautiful and the rooms are very clean. FYI the rooms are noisy at night when the wind is strong.
