It has the smell of a hospital. One of the towells was dirty and the breakfast was very poor. I wouldn't recommend it.

Very budgetary. It's going to be a couple of nights. There's no fen, but breakfast is on. Drinking water should be taken with you, in the room it is not, as well as shampoo. The view from the window was great.

1 ball, and I'll tell you for the sho. This is the worst three-star hotel I've ever seen. We changed the room three times, but they are all equally dirty, untidy and unrepaired. The receptionist makes innocent eyes and declares that he has all the rooms on his computer clean, but there are clouds of dust hanging plaster, yellow from time towels, and hair, hair and hair everywhere! On the floor, on furniture, in the linen. One shoulder straps in a double room, unfilled blankets! No summer blankets or sheets. No air conditioning, crumbling beds. And to get to the room, you still have to drag suitcases one flight up the stairs, and only then get into the elevator. The only thing that was good was breakfast. Actually the only score is for breakfast. Never settle into this hotel!

I didn't like it. Three stars is no reason to save on an air freshener. Out of comfort only toilet paper, take everything else with you. Including toothbrushes, paste, shampoo, hairdryer, etc. An open window doesn't save.

Very noisy. There's no air conditioning, and there's 32 degrees outside. You can't sleep. Not a bad breakfast. Good and pleasant staff.

This hotel is very good for a transition tourist. The price is very good and I think people should consider this when making their review. It’s not very luxurious, but the price is affordable. It’s near the main attractions Budapest has to offer (in walking distance). The breakfast was very good. The rooms are not all that modern, but they’re clean.

Budget hotel. It is perfect for short term! Nice staff, clean room, good breakfast and coffee. Very good location. Recommend it, if you not stay in the hotel for the whole day…

It's like a maze, the rooms are dirty, and the whole 'Hotel' is very dated. The breakfast is acceptable but not the electronic wiring. This is extremely hazardous!

No hair dryer, no shampoo, no shower gel… you get only bed and tv… rooms take you back in time. A place you never want to return or recomend to your friends. Avoid.

The hotel is really ancient. But the worst part is soundproofing. Staff ratio by 3. Can tell you where and how to get in English. But the eviction was said at 10 a. M. To my answer, which is written on Bookinge at 11:00, answered that it is not their problem, but still allowed until 11-00. The best part is breakfast, you can really eat and everything is relatively tasty. The location is normal, 15 minutes to the historic part of one of the shores. The double room was 36 euros. That's why I didn't expect to see anything special. For this money you could choose something better but without breakfast. Everyone prioritizes.

A bit oldish Hotel, but good room with new bed! Nice staff! Good for 1-2nights.

The hotel it self isnt amazing, its pretty basic but its good for the price and if you are looking for a place to sleep and shower only. We booked this hotel because we knew that we are going to only sleep there as we want to travel the whole day. The rooms are an okay size but dont have airconditioning so it gets really stuffy in the rooms. The breakfast is terrible. Its in a good, quite location though, near a bus stop, easy to get anywhereyou want. If you want a cheap place to sleep only I reccomend this hotel.

Very bad hotel: disturbing and inhospitable environments, hair in the shower, dirty towels, unsuitable sanitary ware and low quality food.

Bad food, rooms away from the hall and dirty blankets/towels.

Very basic room, which I don't have a problem with. But when we arrived, from the outside the hotel looked shut. It was so dimly lit inside and out all through our stay that it made the place look drab and unwelcoming. There was a power it one day so no lights when I wine up and had brekfast. No apology or explanation from hotel. Breakfast was easily the worse I have ever had anywhere. Basic, lack of choice, no taste. The staff in the breakfast area were surly and uninterested in being helpful. Other guests were really loud when leaving and this was heard in my room. The only positive thing was that I spent so little time there.

Best place to stay, offers a economical breakfast and cosy place. The rooms near the main street are usually noisy at night. Overall it was a good experience and the staff is very helpful. I would highly recommend it.

Quality Price, a place to sleep with minimal cleanliness.

This place isn't that great. The lampshade was broken, ants in my room, blood on my towel. Some of hotel staff where rude and dismissive when I ask them questions. One guy on reception was nice and the breakfast always had different things which was cool. It's okay if your not gonna stay in your room a lot and just sleep as soon as you get back but other than that it's not that great.

Internet only catches on the ground floor. Good breakfast. The centre can be reached by foot, 30 minutes by foot. Nearby there is a shopping center with groceries, food court and shops.

Honestly, it's something like between 2 and 3. Hotel looks inside like a Soviet Union. Strange room and blocks structure, elevator stops not on all floors. Rooms inside are old, hot water is not always present. But, generally, rooms are big and warm.

Dreadful place. Rude staff, breakfast disgusting and worse still the rooms were dirty, yellow stained bed linen, old worn out showers falling out the walls. No facilities (hair dressers, kettle facilities etc). Best part was the bus stop outside the hotel.

Second time at Bara. Got a better room. Helpful stuff at the reception. It was a bit oldish look of the hotel and the room too. Transport is very good, you can quickly get to the tourist attractions. It's perfect for a couple of nights.

It leaves a lot to be desired, not a pleasant place to visit Budapest, old building of the USSR made up. The only good price and communication to the center.

Seer Schleht especially Bette was not clean full mites staff good.

For the price okay… Room very old and actually would need a renovation. Bathroom very small, the bathroom is under water while showering… Cleanliness okay… Breakfast very good… Price performance moderately seen… Staff part… but for a city break it is enough.

Comfortable hotel located 20 minutes walk from downtown Budapest.

It was a bit small and simple room, but everything else was ok.

They were very helpful at the reception and this was offset by the old average look of the hotel and the room. Clean, well-organized accommodation with good breakfast. Transport is very good, you can quickly get to the tourist attractions. It's perfect for a couple of nights.

It is a low budget hotel and was perfect for one night. Staff was nice, the room was tidy, with ok bed and a little poor equipment. Breakfast was ok with strong coffee. Buses just 1 minute walk, and easy to get to tourist attractions.

Everything was ok! The room was hidden, I hardly found it :) … but thats all.

For one night it was absolute perfect. It was a little long distance from the airport with public transport but Bara is close to the city center and to the tourist attractions. I will come again! Worth that price.

Very quiet hotel and only 25mns walk to the city center, otherwise bus stop a few meters away. Clean and friendly.

The room was very… I don't advise anyone. The rooms are small. The room was very clean. The floors are dirty. In the bathroom on the floor hair. The plumbing is in terrible condition, scary to take a shower and brush your teeth. The only plus is the clean bedding. Breakfast is so-so-from all suggested it is possible to eat only vegetables, cheese and bread. Worse than the number here, I haven't seen it yet.

The attention depends on the concierge you have. There is not very good predisposition to the customer and it is extremely limited the amount of staff. We died of cold in our room, in Hungary we did not use top sheet in the beds and the duvets were quite used. Very desaceados. A shame because the place is nice, the room had potential but it is not in line. Maintenance.

The worst customer service ever. Called from the airport at 4am to ask if an early check in was possible (6/7am) the receptionist said yes, booked the hotel online for 2 nights. I mentioned I would be happy to pay an early check-in fee, however once I arrived the receptionist took my details and said that I need to pay for 3 nights. I explained to him that I wouldn't had left the airport so early if I knew that an early check-in was not possible, charging me for a night is not fair and that I called to confirm that it would be OK to arrive early. He was just staring at me not saying a word. I ended up cancelling the booking and got even a better last min deal 4* hotel for almost the same price. Dear staff I would suggest to work on your customer service skills.

It is a cheaper 3stars hotel, so dont expected too much — a bit oldish but the location (bus stop 1min. Some tourist attractions 5-15min. Walk), breakfast were really good, the staff was nice and helpful, rooms were clean.

Oldie but goldie! :D It is at buda side, but in a good location. 24 hours reception and they are very nice. Room was bit small but clean breakfast was ok.

Worst hotel that I have ever been to in Europe. The room was filthy, smelt like sewage there were insects around the room and on the beds. Plus the place was soffocating.

Minus 5 would be more attached… sry, Absolute Filthy shop… Even the hint was ignored… Comments of the hotel management: we don't care… Our house is always full, come all by itself. The breakfast room was the top hammer: They were stuck on the floor. Room, lots of things broken, filthy and who likes blood stained towels and sheets, for which it is the right Übernachtunhsmöglichkeit never again.

Well it may be a bit flattering to give it 5 stars but I indeed enjoined my 6-day long stay there. The place might be a bit old but no complaint of cleanness. They basically change bed sheets every three days for long stay guest, so it is also up to you to decide how clean the room is. And as for such a price, I wouldn't expect any room bigger (mine was around 16 sq. M). Location is just OK (a beer garden next door, 10-min walk to supermarket and shopping mall and 30-min walk to citadel). Personally I think the breakfast is excellent, except sometimes you may need fight your way through a few tourist groups.

Good value for money.

I put the stars that deserves how category… Hotel/Guesthouse is old and uncomfortable to get to the rooms, very long hallways that connect a building with another… The room: small, without bedside table to side and side of the bed, without air conditioning, without fridge, 2 beds that are sofas with sheets… And by the way, we were late to the hotel because of the flight and the sheets were folded next to the towels, a mess… The bathroom a little small, no glasses for the toothbrush, and no shower soap, very very poor breakfast… Total… A disappointment… I would not go back to this hotel…

Price, localization and personel ok. Everything else was awful. Room with old and destroyed furnitures and sleazy. Bathroom and room not cleand for a long time. No aircon. Very hot in rooms! Paper walls you may here everybody else.

TERRIBLE, NO FRIDGE, NO AIR CONDITIONING, NO SHAMPOO, there was a free room and we were too tired and they didnt check in us. The reception there was a man and everything say No We Have no … very bad service.

Rooms without beds, were couches.
They have not changed the sheets in the whole week we have stayed overnight. They haven't changed the soap pill, and I'm saying pill because I didn't even have shampoo.
They haven't swept the ground any day.

You get what you pay for. This place was just horrible. Pictures you see online are LIES! Literally the rooms were dirty, the sheets were dirty, the staff was extremely unhelpful and downright rude especially at reception. Honestly you can find cheaper and better service anywhere else in the city. Dont stay here.

Hotel, bed and breakfast good service, cheap.

Good for the "transit", reception very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Is located on a main road, so STRAßLÄRM/traffic is to be expected. Windows close well…

I would give them no one star :we went out sunday morning to visit the centre of budapest but when we returned in our room, there weren't any our objects. I didn't find my hairbrush and my body-deodorant… The receptionist said to me perhaps I have left the door opened (it's notte true) … ok! The Follow day we went out, I make sure myself I had locked well the door … when we returned I didn't find my umbrella and my hairpin. They said to me the same answer… BAD! zero stars!

No room service, not so warm hotel but very cheap if u are looking at just bed.

If you want to sleep together with bugs in your bed, with somebody's pubic hair in your sheets, visit this hotel. If you want to sleep in a room that awfully reeks, this is your top destination. + cold showers in a dirty bathroom are amazing!

Definitely, it was worth 15 € per night, but you should not expect too much. Staffs were friendly when we asked that we want to change our room with another one because of stink bugs in our room. The hotel has also good bus connection to city centre. We were in Bara junior hotel on October and we tried two different rooms and in both of them, there were lots of stink bugs. There was not any service room during three days that we stayed there. Although the other rooms had once the service room during 4 days of residing. We were group of people and we had four rooms. 2 out of these 4 rooms were renewed recently and everything was fine, but the other two rooms had very old and dirty furniture. In the website, we chose double beds for double bedrooms, but it was like two single beds which were located next to each other. Bathrooms are too small and we were not comfortable while we were taking shower.

Very poor hotel. The cleaning was inexistent and all things inside the room were very old.

I had Wi-Fi in a big, nice room, helpful and polite personnel.

I ve arrived in Budapest at 23:30, and after a quick research, found this hotel on maps, good acomodation and good breakfeast!

Korrekt hotel, kicsit kiesik a belvárosi résztől, de azért könnyen elérhetők a belső kerületek.

One star for the hotel standard, price and location. They were okay. 3 stars to the receptionist Ortilla (We're not sure how to spell his name ;-) ). Extremely understanding, helpful, with humour and a professional man! We'll be back. ;-) Best wishes from Denmark.

Bad service, if the bathroom window on the street — very noisy.

Hotel — below average, even for such a price. No stars here. Certainly, television is supposed to work, and valves leak, ventilation as if absent, the territory between the Bar and the Bar Junior some pipes (on the photo does not show lots of cigarette butts that are not cleaned. Money still pay. Really enjoyed both the administrator at a pity a poor command of Russian (and can we — sorry for bad English possess) ; old waiter with the beard, the friendliness, professionalism, friendliness, cleanliness. He would work in a restaurant more serious. Such employee rates no. His work is a matter of respect). A good Breakfast. To the center of 5 minutes by bus 8 or 112. Perhaps, everything. Don't expect a 5 star room (no air con, no fan) but it's clean and there are frequent bus to center.

Good quality for a low price.
