We had a great stay in Budapest, we stayed 6 nights at the hotel Queen Mary. The staff is very nice, pleasant and welcoming, the breakfast is very good. The rooms are nice and spacious, and the bedding is very comfortable. The street is not noisy yet, nearby there are many bars and restaurants. The centre is really not far away, we did everything on foot for 6 days! Unfortunately, to our surprise, the room is not made everyday, the toilets have not been cleaned once in the week, towels and linen not changed, and cleaning not done, but the person in charge of the cleaning was fold the duvet and put the toilet paper. We regret having had young neighbors extremely noisy (several rooms of young approximately 20 year) for the past two nights. They have not stopped going up and down smoking, in plain view, they were doing their evening in the room, instead go to the bar, they even bought wine to the hotel reception, it is like this that we have seen that the evening was happening in the rooms. … It is a pity, but it was the penultimate, and last floor, the person at the reception could not hear… (We recommend a few trips tours and restaurants : Trips and visits : the baths Szcheneni, the house of terror museum, the visit of the castle (and not in Buda because it's only paintings) of sisi to Godolom (story parts and furniture), the dinner cruise on the Danube river with folklore show (dock 11), the cynagogue only if guide, the big wheel, the Basilica, and especially the guided tour of Budapest and the parliament, the changing of the guard at the foot of the castle by taking the cable car or riding on foot by the Garden (for having done, not so hard! )
Restaurants : the meatology, la cucina (Vaci street), pasta e Basta (Vaci street), barack and szilva (peach and plum) to 650m from the hotel, incognito (in the same street as the hotel), trofea grill (not far from the hotel)
Ps: for the exchange, don't go into the Vaci street, and look for currency exchange offices in which the exchange rate is a minimum of 305! I've seen exchange offices at 310! )
In general, we recommend very strongly this hotel.
