Had fried chicken and chips at the restaurant, it was very dry. I can't comment on any other dishes the restaurant served but in relation to this dish KFC is better value and you don't have to pay a service fee for the privilege. I did not stay at the hotel so I can not comment on the hotel however it looks quite nice and others seem extremely satisfied.

Excellent old world service in a thoroughly modernized old building. Wonderful bathrooms with great amenities. Excellent breakfast. Great service.

Rude bartender, rooms overheated with no temp control.

I spent two nights with my husband there, we had a wonderful time. Excellent location just in the centre. You have access to almost everywhere in Budapest. Clean rooms. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Great experience.

A most pleasant hotel, breakfast was outstanding and I ate too much! The catering team are wonderful and so helpful, even smiling with us English about our need for tea with cows milk. They understood!

An amazing hotel in the heart of Budapest.

Perfect hotel. Great service — above and beyond, super tasty dining options (Nobu and Bistro Bar). The spa treatments are divine, and the room was excellent. Transfer service from and to the airport was perfect and reasonably priced. My arrival was delayed by 1 hour and he was still waiting for me. Even the location is the best — close to everything, surrounding shops open around the clock, metro station, designer shopping, and historical sites and attractions, all within walking distance. Recommended for everybody! Not very cheap but great value for money.

Great location, fantastic staff, from the front desk to management to the waiters at the Bistro, one waiter named Gyuri… (George) was amazing, we asked him a question about a location, and he came back, with a map, and several suggestions, highlited by him on the map, alongvwith detailed information, like a seasoned Concierge… this is the kind of service and passion that makes an establishment special and easy to remember.

Staff very friendly and accommodating — we arrived early and was offered an upgrade, we declined as the view wasn’t as good — our room is clean ana large, beds not a comfy as use to. Concierge amazing and special shout out to Alexandra from the bar — very informative and friendly — will deffo return.

The ES restaurant is delightful. Ask for Christian as a waiter. Pulled duck leg burger — yum!

The staff is simply amazing! Breakfast in ES gives your day the best possible start. Especially when the waiters remember your order after a year!

Just returned from an epic stay here at the Kempinski Hotel and WOW what an amazing experience we had. We arrived about 7pm by taxi our bags were instantly taken and we were shown to the check in where they kindly informed us that we have been given an upgrade to a Grand premium junior suite. We arrived at the suite and were totally blown away. We were here to celebrate my boyfriends 40th so to upgrade was just the icing on the cake! Thank you. We ate at ES Bistro on the 1st night (reception kindly did this for us too) food and staff were polite, friendly and our meal here was fantastic.
Please pass on thanks to the whole team who make this outstanding hotel tick. I would recommend this place over and over again!

We had a great experience here and highly recommend the hotel. We came with a 4 month old baby and the hotel staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. We received an upgraded room as part of our Expedia VIP+ membership. The room was spacious and quiet. We also really enjoyed the room service and restaurants. Everything we ate there was delicious. We also had breakfast for 2 mornings of our stay. It was nice that you could order eggs how you wanted them or delicious french toast or oatmeal. We highly recommend the hot chocolate! The breakfast was a little pricey for what was served but it is a buffet so I guess you pay for that (though we are from Las Vegas and the best Vegas buffets were still cheaper than this). The location is also excellently situated close to the Danube and many important sites in Budapest. We loved our 4 day 3 night stay here.

This hotel looked like an amazing 5 star to stay at. I wasnt aware of this hotel until I saw it otherwise I would have stayed for 1 night at least. But surely what made feel it must be an amazing place is because they were showcasing the F1 car and the customized Mercedes car. Grand Prix Hungary was due the weekend when I was visiting this place. Nice cafe and places to have drink in the Hotel premise also. I would love to visit this place when I visit Hungary next time.

Truelly 5 Star +, highly recommended, the Staff gave the best service I have ever seen, we will come back soon as they make us feel home. Room & Food just perfect, also best steak ever. No other 5 Star Hotel in Budapest can compete.

I think this is the nicest hotel I have visited. The rooms are quite big and there are restaurants, coffee lounge and gift shop all in the hotel. More amenities too I would imagine.

Great hotel! Near everything! Great food! Great staff! Small gym but enough equipment to have a decent workout. I highly recommend.

First of all it has a great central location. Spacious rooms, friendly staff. If I ever come back to Budapest I will stay in Kempinski. Also good value for money.

Super. All other equal numbers are greater than Hilton and Mariote. There were robes and other useful things that usually need to be asked separately. The only thing was there was no ironing board. But then they brought it. So super.

3 nights at the Kempinski, a wonderful experience. I will always remember the breakfasts made in the restaurant ES, a riot of food for all tastes. Never ate so much and so well. The hotel is in a great location and the staff is of a unique kindness, ready to help you in everything. If I return to Budapest one day, I will certainly be at the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus.

Another time we would choose a hotel near the Ritz — Carlton and go to Kempinsky restaurants.

Good location, nice rooms but very poor service, not definitely a 5 stars hotel by a service point of view. When I arrived my name was not in the list (I was part of a group). I show to the reception the email I received from the organization (I was in Budapest for a congress). It took almost one hour to sort it, I have been left in the lobby, the receptionist asked if I wanted water. I said yes but water has never arrived. At breakfast you are obliged to seat where the waiters take you in a very impolite way. At checkout there was a very long cue and only two people at the desk, unacceptable for a 5 stars hotel to wait so long just for leaving the key. I would not recommend this hotel in Budapest, I attended the congress in another luxury hotel, just 5 minutes away and level of service was by far much better.

Very good hotel, great location and the restaurant is very good.

A very unpleasant situation occurred in this hotel. I did not expect such poor service from the hotel. I stayed in a hotel and passed April 22, my dress dry-cleaned at the hotel. The dress is brand new and bought on April 20. When you return dresses April 23, dry cleaning was discovered 2 spots — bred paint with dresses. Must have gotten a stain on the chemical. The girl who took my dress all looked at him completely and there were no stains on it. After long conversations and negotiations with the Manager, they referred to the poor quality material of the dress manufacturer. And their guilt. Not only that the money for poor-quality cleaning is not returned and still slander on the manufacturer of the dress. I often buy from this manufacturer things and never had problems with the material. Disgusting staff (Who does not know how to handle the situation with the client (do not know how to admit their guilt and compensate for the spoiled dress. The issue price of 200 euros ( (where's the bottle water in the room costs 8 Euro. Ridiculously…

I stayed here for 3 nights. While the concierge was helpful, I had a very bad experience there. Renovation was on going the time which I stayed. The allowed renovation to go on while guests are staying in the hotel, which is just, bad. Renovation works started at 9am, and I was woken up the drilling sounds. Imagine this, I'm on vacation and want to relax, but instead woken up by construction noise from within the hotel itself. After touring in the morning, when I returned to my room in the afternoon I can't even take a short nap as the drilling is going on the entire day! I called the front desk and they said they can't do anything about it as they were having renovations on the 7th floor. If Kempinski wants to renovate the hotel, don't take it paying guests! Instead I was left with a very bad experience. For such a premier hotel and not having the well being of guests in mind, I will not stay at this or any Kempinski hotel again.

The people that work here are so nice. There wasn't a single person in the whole hotel that didn't receive you with a big smile and a warm welcome. I expected maybe one person to have an off-day but we could not find this person. From the beginning untill the end they treat you like kings and queens. If you ever plan to go to this hotel this will be the best choice for sure!

High end Business Class hotel with all the amenities. Including a fantastic spa floor. Walk outside and you are in the shopping district. At the center of everything in Budapest. Clean rooms, very comfortable beds and comforters. One block from a vibrant Xmas market during Advent. Highly recommend it.

Great Hotel in a strategic location. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Nice restaurant, relaxing pool and Spa and wonderful breakfast. The service was also great, in particularly the breakfast staff serving at the tea living room.

I'm very disappointed. Renovation work until at least March 2018 we were only found on site. The stay was a gift to my wife's 50s. Drilling from 9:00 a. M. To 5:00 p. M. The weekend will be drilled until 10 o'clock. Employees. Buffet unloved. For business travellers who are not there during the day, this may be the case, for a city break where a breather under day would not be nice. That's it with the Kempinski and associated hotel chains.

Stunning hotel in a central location in Budapest. Short walk from the Eye, a number of fantastic restaurants and historic landmarks. Service was particularly good and the gym top notch. All for a reasonable price for a 5* hotel. Highly recommended.

Stayed there for 3 nights. High luxury hotel with excellent service and breakfast. Our superior room was upgraded to deluxe free of charge. We visited in December and the hotel and room were always warm and smelled nice. We had a bath and a shower with high pressure of warm water. Breakfast was excellent with freshly squeezed juices, hot drinks — including soy milk cappuccino. Hand made yogurts, lots of fruits and cheeses and even two types of salmon. Hotel is located right in the center of the city, a walking distance from everything. Only thing bothered us was the hard mattress that we got and the very soft pillows. The trick to overcome this was to return to the room very late and after a nice drink.

It deserves each of the 5 stars. Very well positioned to visit the city.

The hotel is 5 stars, it has got a great SPA, and fitness center, as well excellent restaurants (Nobu, ES) and a very popular bar (Blue Fox). Service is medium but the location is nicely situated.

One of the best hotels in Budapest.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was very varied and tasty. The location of the hotel was very central. The crew even brought a very good birthday cake for my grandmother when I asked them to. Also we asked a wake up call for our night flight and they suggested us to bring room service of coffee before our flight. They were very precise on the times and everything went well :)! Overall, the hotel was VERY RECOMMENDED!

Elegant and comfortable hotel, nice rooms, spacious but more on the traditional side. Nice and hospitable staff. The Japanese restaurant attached is truly authentic and worth a visit, too.

Super disappointed in our stay here, especially reading so many rave reviews. We decided to book here for our honeymoon and splurge for this special occasion. Upon arrival, the attendee congratulated us on the wedding and mentioned we had gotten a room upgrade and a treat in our room. When we got to the room, there wasn't any treat and the room seemed like a standard room. Starving, we decided to head out to dinner but when leaving the attendee insisted we go back to the room since our treat may get too hot. We weren't sure what he was talking about but he seemed worried about us not getting this treat so we waited. Nearly an hour later, the sparkling wine came. While we appreciated it, we were starving and told to wait for a gift. It just felt silly. Then that evening, we noticed we kept coughing and sneezing. Turns out they use down blankets and pillows which we are allergic to. We called to request a new blanket and pillow but no one came. We also didn't get turndown service as requested and noted on the website. When we came back our second day, the old sparkling wine and glasses were still left in our room. They also didn't replace our used soaps, shampoos, and lotions and instead just put them back by the sink. So odd. Now we were getting ready for bed, we decided to go to the front desk and explain to them that we needed new blankets. They again never came so I called them.

Terrible customer service. Even when they are trying to surprise you with a special treat (they gave us sparkling wine) they told us to stay in the room until it was delivered, which took about 45 minutes post-check in. We also asked for down-alternative blankets and pillows multiple times since we're allergic and that's what their rooms have, but they just kept bringing us more down pillows and blankets. Room is standard to any hotel. Nothing special. Stains on curtains. Stains in bathroom. This is definitely not 5-star quality. EDIT: customer relations called after seeing my review. They didn't offer anything to help alleviate the situation (no free meal, no discounted rate, no down-free bedding, etc). They simply said let us know if you need anything. Not 5-star worthy service at all, so my review will be staying as a 1-star.

Pool is small, gym is medium sized. Bedsheets are highly insulating so air conditioning doesn't really feel. Gets quite hot in the night sometimes. AC units itself not that strong. Feels overpriced because of this. Staff helpful for getting taxis and helping with directions. Great eating places inside. Great location in Budapest.

The quality of this hotel is excellent, both the rooms and the food. It also has a free Wi-Fi with good download speed. The attention of the service has no criticism on my part. The only thing is the indoor pool, it stays small as the hotel has numerous rooms (spread over 9 floors) and there are just a few hammocks.

Nice Hotel in Budapest where recently I stayed. Good Ambience, Nice Rooms, Nice Bathrooms, comfortable Beds. It has all necessary as well as luxurious amenities. Nice Morning Breakfast is served. There is a huge public garden just opposite the Hotel and it is surrounded by lots of Branded Shops where you can have good shopping experience. It has large sitting area in front of Reception where you can sit, chat and play a Piano too.

Beautiful hotel, great location, professional staff, good food. 25 years ago (1992), when they opened first, this hotel was a class of its own. Since then unfortunately time left some marks. It'd be a good idea to pay extra attention to smaller details that'd need to be fixed. Overall a good value for money.

Went here for a conference. Facilities were good. Didn't reside at the hotel though. Food was good. Very high class which is what you expect from a hotel this expensive.

A very recently renovated hotel, great class and very modern. Spacious rooms. A rich and varied buffet for breakfast like lunch with Hungarian specialties as international from fresh and predominantly local ingredients. Reception and meeting services of an excellent level. A modern and cosy decor including the living room at the entrance. Nice staff.

Good location. But the service level was below standard and did not match my Kempinski expectation. Many things were not into details and hardly got greeted by the staffs. Hotel facility is rather bad and room is rather old. Signature drinks at the bar were the highlight as usual. Full of police and securities around the building (might because many local politians choose this place for conferences or dinner), I felt like being checked all the time and did not feel comfortable. Ps. Very slow and inconvenient Wi-Fi. Not OK for business travelers.
