Hotel is in a perfect location on the lake offering breathtaking views of the lake and volcanos around it. Staff is friendly and prompt. Only reason I did not give the hotel 5 stars is they could do better with toiletries/amenities available in the room.

The hotel was magnificent. The staff was super helpful and friendly. One downfall about this hotel is that the food is over priced. Dinner for two was about 85.00 USD. Breakfast was 33.00 USD. Lunch was 65.00 USD. Luckily it’s a once a life time deal for us. So would I come back and dine at hotel Atitlan, never. I would come spend the night for a beautiful hotel but would rather eat out. Total spent there including hotel for 2 was about 400.00. In Guatemala, no way.

Just had a cup of coffee but the buffet was spectacular I saw it.

The hotel has a beautiful garden and an infinity pool overlooking the volcanoes. The staff are very helpful and accommodating.

It has beautiful gardens overlooking the volcano, the hotel is very cozy, you can come to spend a few days and have coffee watching the beautiful view of the mountains.

A very nice and romantic place, great views of Atitlan lake, peaceful and relaxing gardens. The pool area is beautiful, perfect to enjoy sunrises and sunsets, specially in November. Food is ok… nothing to die for but the rest of the place totally worth it.

Stunningly lovely place. We did not stay — just had the breakfast buffet. The food and view are well above average! The prices are high, but reasonable for what you get: all you can eat, great view, and nice no-rush service. Worth it ;-)

El hotel más bonito y lujoso donde me he hospedado. Es toda una experiencia visitarlo. El descanso es muy bueno, la vista al lago, la piscina climatizada, los jardines y la comida; todo muy bueno.

Not enough can be said about how good this hotel realy is. It's absolutely amazing. Number one, the place is spotless… Believe me I was looking. The rooms were immaculate, excellent view of the imposing volcanoes looking back. The ever changing view of the weather surrounding the volcano is incredible. I loved the thick duvet covers and the bed was really comfortable. Some reviews mention that there's too many rules. A hotel like this has to have rules and regs that make for a quiet relaxing place that is perfectly kept. The gardens… Not even in Versailles. Butterflies, honeybees, humming birds, tiny little squirrels and well the different flowers and trees were astounding. Oh, and the parrots and huge guacamayas! The food was awesome. Chicken breast is hard to cook so it's moist, so that's always a tell. My chicken breast was super juicy and had a great homemade Guatemala flavors. The breakfast buffet was delicious with pretty much everything you could want. They had real homemade jams and fresh squeeze juices that were yum. The coolest thing though… Once in a while some really important Guatemalan people come to lunch in their helicopters and it's an awesome sight to see them land right in one of the adjacent gardens. Amazing.

Exquisitely tasteful hotel. Feels palacial, and homey at the same time.

The venue is absolutely beautiful. I came here to have breakfast at the buffet and it was delicious. The highlight definitely was getting freshly made waffles on the spot and the view of the lake while eating.

Only was here for lunch but everything was good. The lemonado soda waa great.

Our stay was very pleasant, the rooms quite comfortable and cozy, the food excellent, good breakfast buffet. The pool area and pool very good as well as the service. I would stay with them without hesitation or hesitation.

Wonderfully staffed, quiet rooms, hot showers excellent location.

For starters, our room was not the room as we reserved, and we could not be moved nor were we provided a refund for difference in prices. Apart from that we received poor service (they were more concerned for the big groups staying there), sub-par food for the price, and unhelpful management. I'm still waiting for a refund more than 6 weeks after we canceled the rest of our reservation, despite several emails and calls. Although they a good view and pool, I would recommend staying elsewhere.

Thank God we had the opportunity to share the weekend spent with my children and my husband Caesar Julian and Linda in this beautiful hotel was a good experience, the facilities are excellent, cosy, really we relax, the Hotel's gardens are as much as the beautiful view of the Lake, from your room. The food is very rich. The truth I have to congratulate the staff all very polite and attentive. Thank you give us stay in their facilities. I hope to be able to stay at a next opportunity.

My family and I stayed here for my sons wedding Feb 2014 and it was perfect. I couldn't have wished for a better location, food, care and attention to detail. Thank you so much for making it a day to remember.

Great location by the Lake.

In addition to hotel we could say that it is a botanical garden with beautiful and manicured gardens for strolling. We could also say that it is a museum as it has countless pieces of sacral art and typical art of Guatemala, distributed in the corridors, rooms, halls, etc.
The dining room has a magnificent atmosphere, and the Wi-Fi works perfectly. Opposite to the reception there is a shop with many products, but we don't buy anything because their precise are superior to the street on Panajachel. Box is available at reception that do not charge.
We enjoy a chapín breakfast, as they call the Guatemalan: sauce, sauce of beans, tortillas, two fried eggs, fried plantains, nachos, cheese, guacamole… and coffee with milk… of course. Very friendly staff with regional dress.
The rooms overlook the Lake and volcanoes, a luxury.

Set in beautiful grounds, which are excellently maintained, the hotel is a great place to stay on the lake. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the facilities are good, and it is only a short tuctuc ride into town (costing 10Qz per person ~$1.5 or £1 when we stayed) It is worth noting that, at least in the suite which we stayed in, is not air conditioned. The lake is at ~1500m/~5000ft so ac was not essential when we stayed, but would be nice if the temperature was much higher. Also worth noting that the walls are a little thin — our neighbours snoring was very clearly heard.

Just so so, food are not so good. And a bit far from the town.
