Plaka Apartments

The Valena Mare is an absolute gem of a hotel! Nikos, Mari, and the staff (whose name I don’t recall at the moment) are kind and welcoming and they go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful stay.
We rented the family room which has a bedroom with a bed for two as well as bunk beds in the living area (it was just two of us but I think there’s enough space for four). There’s also a balcony with a few chairs, so lots of spaces for a small group to congregate.

We stayed here for 4 nights and wished we could stay for 4 weeks! I've never wanted to extend a stay more but this is absolutely perfect.
Nicholas is amazing. The rooms great, the pool and location are lovely. Just the right level of tranquility, close to some lovely restaurants and only 15 minutes from the main city.
We'll be coming back a lot.

The hotel is on the best stretch of Plaka beach: wide golden beach, hearty restaurants, and facilities such as umbrellas, sunbeds, and mini marts. The beach is literally half a minute away.
We stayed at one of the studios and it was wonderful: large areas and very clean. The unit has a big living area with kitchenette, while the bedroom is cozy. Bathroom is good with hot/cold water and super strong water pressure. AC was working properly... which was awesome due to the extreme heat.

We have spent 3 days in Maistrali Rooms at Sept '13. the best value for money ever. Nice beach sights from our terrace, an idyllic beach just in front the appartment and a quite zone. And of course, a charming staff that provide us a delicious cake. Nothigh to blame about it!

We stayed for 8 days in this amazing apartment. The host Manolis and his staff make us feel like home. He is welcomig, thouthful and so kind. First f all, they offered us fresh lemonade and homemade sweets and a bottle of water. It has been lasting for all the holiday. Very clean rooms with any kind of comfort (air conditioning, TV, safe for money, electric iron and board, kitchen with all you need (plates, glasses, etc), big balcony with table and chairs.

Very kind. Manolis and Kleoniki are always available for advice and help you with anything. They often offered us exquisite sweets and made us feel at home.

Filippa Studios are just across the sandy road from fabulous Plaka Beach. The studios are very well equipped and spacious. On arrival everything was spotlessly clean and remained so for the duration of our holiday. They are set in colourful and spacious gardens, including a substantial pond and waterfall. The owner, Filippa, is very welcoming and makes sure you have everything you could possibly need.

Filippa is a great, very helpful host, rooms are clean and big. A beach, supermarket, taverna are just a few steps away. Just FYI a sunbed and an umbrella are 8 euro per day. Thank you Filippa!

We loved the place so much we extended our stay, good people very short walk to the beach, going again this year.
