Great newly updated and modern motor court style Motel.
Great location and close to Downtown Bellingham.
Could make a great central point for all the adventures to be had around this area.

My boyfriend and I just had a fantastic weekend in Bellingham and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heliotrope! Great place with a fun friendly vibe and dog-friendly too! Nice neighbourhood to walk around and a great breakfast place 2 blocks away. Highly recommended!

This is a funky motel, conveniently located with lots of character. I loved the light in the room, the bathroom with lots of places to put things, the bed that was not hard, the frig, the provided earplugs (it is a motel, so you can hear traffic and the train, but not with the earplugs! ), and the friendly, very helpful staff. I'll stay here again.

The Hotel tries hard to make you feel cared for and not in the converted motel that is seems to reside in. There are nice touches throughout and the staff was extremely nice. The room was good with a comfortable bed and nice but small bathroom. There is good coffee and a tea selection in the lobby area. About 1 mile from the center of town.

Nicely appointed! Friendly! Our family enjoyed the games and the air mattresa :o. I appreciated the cleanliness and reasonable price. The location is good for getting around on foot and by bus!

The retro style motel was nice. Very clean, lovely shower. Outdoor grass area with Adirondack chairs was a great chill spot, they had fire going in the pit at night. Not walking distance to downtown but Melvin brewing is a few blocks away with great beer and food.

If you’re in the area, stay here! This hotel is styled beautifully! Modern design makes for clean, spacious rooms. It felt brand new! The firepit and lounge chairs outside were such a nice touch! We were so comfortable in this well cleaned, and well taken care of room! The staff was incredibly gracious, and went above and beyond for us as to brew us fresh local coffee. 10/10 would recommend!

We stayed for one night and loved it! The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the fire pit and free coffee/tea was an awesome touch. We loved how clean the room was and the updates they made. It was very simple but had all we need. We’ve already recommended it to friends and family.

Just loved this hotel! The beds were awesome, the decor was modern and clever, and overall it was pretty quiet. The staff were great and knowledgeable about things to do and places to eat. Jaime was great! The AC was amazingly quiet. Would love to come back for sure!

The hotel is super clean and the staff is very friendly. I had a room at the end (#1) which was near the main road. I heard traffic a little during the early evening, but the traffic died down and I slept without a hitch. If you are sensitive to sound, the hotel provides earplugs. It's a great place — and I highly recommend it. I would definitely stay at the Heliotrope Hotel again.

Awesome update to an older motel! The rooms were clean, and I loved the modern design (I was actually inspired by the decor to do more work with high-end plywood). Also, each room has a ductless heat pump for heating/cooling which I really appreciated as they are nice and quiet. I slept well here.

My new favorite place to stay. Tons of little touches like good tea, a cute honey jar, lawn games and great decor. The price was good. The rooms were comfortable and everyone was super friendly. Plus it revitalized a property type, the motor inn, that is rapidly disappearing.

I love this place. I’ll never stay anywhere else in Bellingham. Privacy is available if you want it, but this place is all about being social. A quaint patio setting in front of each room, a wonderful common area with amenities and great coffee, and s’mores by the fire at night. Yes, they offer real s’mores by a real fire. Epic.

This was the second time we stayed here and it was close to a year a part. Everything was still as amazing as we remembered. Super friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and layed out very nicely. All the renovations are standing the test of time and still look great. We love the relaxed vibe and the fire pit at night. It is also so close to some award winning breweries, restaurants, and the gem that is Elizabeth Station. This is the only hotel that we would stay in Bellingham and would recommend it to anyone.

I really loved this place. It has a casual northwest feel, but modern and cozy. The staff was just the best. I didn't get the front desk guy's name when we checked in, but he was really helpful and friendly. Next time I'm in Bellingham, this is the place!

What a wonderful experience! We loved the convenience of being able to check in without having to visit the front desk. Visited the Hub shortly after settling in and greeted by Tim who was very informative about the recent remodel and changes that have occurred to convert the old motel into a modern Portlandia style of modern lodging. We enjoyed sitting outside our room relaxing in a cozy chair with a beautiful round block of natural wood as a table. Other guests arrived and we clearly felt at home. The shower was amazing. Beautifully tiled walk in shower. It was like visiting a spa! Can't wait to go back when the weather is nice to enjoy the fire pit out front. 5 stars at an affordable price!
